Rosie's eyelids felt heavy, and she flung them open. It was pitch black outside, the sky dotted with stars. She rubbed her temples, vaguely remembering that she'd slept the entire afternoon.

The strange thing is that I slept extremely deeply that time. Although the dream was complicated, I couldn't remember it at all.

There were footsteps outside the cave, light and steady.

Yu walked into the cave, carrying a hide bag on his back. In the moonlight, his short silver hair shone slightly, as if coated with a thin layer of frost.

"You're back." Luo Xi propped herself up and sat up. The next second, her pupils suddenly shrank.

There was a hideous wound on Yu's right arm. Although it had been bandaged, blood still seeped out from under the animal skin, staining the area red.

"You're hurt!" Luo Xi rushed to Yu and touched the edge of his wound with her fingers, but quickly retracted them for fear of hurting him.

"It's okay, just a superficial wound." Yu chuckled, suppressing the stinging sensation in her right arm. She caressed Luo Xi's cheek with her knuckles. "How about you, did you sleep well?"

"What do you mean it's okay? You've lost so much blood." Luo Xi bit her lip, turned around to get the water bag, carefully tore open the dried animal skin, and cleaned Yu's wound.

Yu let her manipulate her, with a gentle smile in Ruifeng's eyes.

"Consider this injury a favor to Falcon." He said lightly, pulling out a green crystal from his animal hide bag and handing it to Luo Xi, "Here you go."

The crystal sparkled with a warm light in the moonlight, like a drop of solidified jade.

"This is?"

"Green crystal, a specialty of the Misty Forest." Yu placed the crystal in Luo Xi's palm. "Eating it will make you healthier."

Luo Xi held the crystal tightly, but she had no intention of appreciating it. She stared at Yu's wound, and her heart ached.

"Did Falcon go into the Misty Forest?" she asked, worry glimmering in her eyes.

Yu nodded, her eyes lingering on Luo Xi's face for a moment, a strange look flashing in her eyes. She cares so much about Falcon?

Noticing the change in Yu's eyes, Luo Xi quickly added, "It's good that he gets in safely. That way he won't come to you for help again, and you won't have to get hurt again."

Yu was stunned for a moment, then reacted and a hint of joy flashed in his eyes.

"So Xixi is worried about me." He smiled and pulled her into his arms, resting his chin lightly on the top of her head. "Don't worry, this little injury is nothing."

Luo Xi froze for a moment, then relaxed, letting the breath of the rain envelop her. She could hear his strong heartbeat, steady and solid.

"You shouldn't have taken that risk," she whispered in his arms.

"why?"

"Because..." Rosie paused, unable to explain the reason, but instinctively she didn't want him to get hurt, "Because I don't want to see you get hurt."

Yu's eyes darkened and his arms tightened a little.

"Silly girl." He said in a low, doting voice, "I am a powerful ninth-rank orc. If I hadn't been in such a hurry to come back to see you, I would have healed long ago."

Luo Qian looked up and met Yu's smiling, auspicious eyes. Moonlight filtered through the cave, scattering on his short silver hair and casting a soft halo over him.

"Yu..." Luo Xi's heart beat faster and her cheeks felt slightly hot for some reason.

Yu chuckled and loosened his arms, but still held her wrist. He looked at Luo Xi's slightly red cheeks, and a hint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes.

"Are you hungry? I just killed a tsukune."

Yu turned around and neatly pulled out a processed juju from the animal hide bag. His slender fingers applied the seasoning, his movements delicate and gentle, as if he were creating a work of art rather than preparing prey.

Rosie stared at his back. His silver hair shone softly in the firelight, and his muscles rippled with his movements, their lines smooth and powerful. She swallowed unconsciously, unwilling to look away.

The beast was placed over the bonfire, sizzling softly. The aroma of meat quickly filled the cave, reaching Rosie's nose and causing her stomach to growl.

Yu listened attentively, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.

"Wait a moment, it'll be ready soon."

His voice was low and gentle, like a pool of warm water, soaking into Rosie's heart. She nodded, hugged her knees and sat aside, but her eyes always followed his every move.

The flames danced, casting shifting shadows on Yu's handsome face. He carefully turned the skewers, ensuring each side was cooked to perfection. Rosie couldn't help but wonder how this man could do something as crude as grilling meat so elegantly.

"All right."

Yu cut off the tenderest part, placed it on a clean stone slab, and handed it to Luo Xi. His fingertips accidentally brushed the back of her hand, which was warm and had a thin callus on it, which made Luo Xi's heart tremble.

"Be careful of the burn."

Rosie took the slate and was greeted by the aroma of meat, making her mouth water. She took a bite and the juicy meat instantly burst in her mouth, so delicious that she couldn't help but let out a sigh of satisfaction.

"It's delicious. Yu, your cooking skills are getting better and better."

She looked up and met Yu Han's smiling eyes. Those auspicious phoenix eyes were particularly bright in the firelight, as if they contained a galaxy of stars, deep and gentle.

"Aren't you going to eat?"

Yu shook her head and looked at her intently: "I like watching you eat."

This should have made Luo Xi blush and her heart beat fast, but she was too hungry to care about being shy and just ate with big mouthfuls. Yu just looked at her quietly, his eyes full of indulgence and pampering.

Just as Luo Xi was about to reach out for the second piece of meat, she heard a sudden noise outside the cave—the sound of branches snapping, mixed with heavy footsteps approaching this side...
