Heart Stealer
Chapter 3: Hitting the Reef
Wu Xin drove the large fishing boat across the sea, splashing waves.
As night fell, the surroundings became unusually quiet, with only the waves gently lapping against the side of the boat, making a crisp and pleasant sound.
After Wu Xin confirmed that there were no more pursuers, his tense nerves finally relaxed a little.
He ate some food casually and lay quietly on the deck, looking up at the stars.
I have made a big mistake, and no matter how much I regret my reckless behavior, it will be of no use.
If something really happened to his junior sister, he would definitely be severely beaten by the old captain when he returned to the port.
Suddenly, Wu Xin remembered the mysterious uninhabited island that A Qiang had mentioned to him.
It is said that there are a lot of gold and silver treasures hidden on the island, but for various reasons, this place has never been discovered.
Wu Xin had nowhere else to turn. So, why not give it a try? Perhaps there was still a glimmer of hope waiting for him.
As soon as the sun rose, Wu Xin immediately adjusted his course and headed towards the uninhabited island.
After sailing for several hours, Wu Xin finally saw a small island covered with dense forests.
From a distance, the entire island is surrounded by lush trees, as if isolated from the world.
Wu Xin's eyes were full of anticipation as he sped up and drove towards this mysterious uninhabited island.
As the island got closer, he began to feel an unknown breath coming towards him, which made him both excited and nervous.
After the boat docked, Wu Xin walked into the island with a knife.
The forest was very quiet. He walked carefully and suddenly heard a strange sound coming from the distance.
He looked towards the source of the sound vigilantly, only to find a wild boar in front of him.
It seemed to have noticed Wu Xin as well, and hostility was revealed in its eyes.
Wu Xin clenched the knife in his hand and prepared to fight back, but the wild boar suddenly turned and ran away.
Wu Xin was confused, but decided to follow it to see if he could find some clues.
Not long after walking, he came to a cave and found that it was full of wooden cabinets.
Wu Xin was very excited. It seemed that this was really the treasure place that Aqiang had mentioned!
He used a knife to pry open a wooden cabinet and found that it was filled with industrial raw materials.
He was unwilling to give up, so he pried open a few more wooden cabinets and saw that they were all filled with industrial raw materials.
Wu Xin opened the wooden cabinet with great joy, thinking that it would be filled with gold, silver and treasures, but he did not expect that what caught his eyes were some items that could neither be eaten nor worn and looked worthless.
This made him feel extremely disappointed and angry!
He kicked the wooden cabinet hard in anger, then turned and walked out of the cave, boarded the big boat and prepared to leave this place.
Wu Xin was unwilling to return empty-handed, so he decided to continue searching for the treasure.
After he had driven the large ship for dozens of nautical miles, he saw several small islands and reefs vaguely emerging from the eastern sea in the distance.
This discovery made him ecstatic, as if he saw the dawn of hope.
He immediately sped up and headed towards the islands and reefs.
Suddenly there was a loud "bang" and the whole fishing boat shook violently.
Wu Xin was too excited and did not notice the reef ahead, causing the fishing boat to hit the reef directly and run aground there.
The collision was so severe that the fishing boat began to tilt slowly, water entered the cabin, and it looked like the boat was about to sink.
Wu Xin fell into extreme panic, and the fishing boat was shaking in the turbulent sea.
The fishing boat tilted more and more, and the cold sea water poured into the cabin mercilessly, and the situation became more and more critical...
Wu Xin hurriedly packed some clothes, grabbed a piece of wood tightly, and swam hard towards the small island reef.
The waves were like ferocious beasts, rolling up and down, roaring, as if they wanted to swallow Wu Xin into an endless abyss.
Wu Xin used all his strength, gritted his teeth, and held on tightly to the life-saving piece of wood, refusing to let go.
Seeing that they were still a long distance away from the shore of the island, Wu Xin's strength was exhausted.
At this moment, another huge wave suddenly hit him. He couldn't help but scream, and then he fell into a coma...
After an unknown amount of time, Wu Xin felt a burning pain in his back and opened his eyes with difficulty.
He pinched his thigh hard and felt the pain, then realized that he was still alive.
Wu Xin struggled and climbed to the top of the reef with difficulty. He rested for a long time before he caught his breath.
Wu Xin looked around and found himself on a deserted island with dense vegetation and seemed to be sparsely populated.
He felt very disappointed and didn't know how to survive.
Suddenly, he saw the wreckage of a damaged ship in the distance, which seemed to be able to provide some supplies.
Wu Xin dragged his tired body towards the shipwreck, hoping to find something useful.
Wu Xin found some food and drinking water in the shipwreck, which made him feel a little relieved.
When he tried to repair the ship, he found that the hull was severely damaged and could not sail.
Wu Xin had to give up the idea of repairing the ship and look for other ways to survive on the deserted island.
He learned to gather wild fruits and catch seafood.
He found fire on the broken boat, which solved his problem of having difficulty in getting food.
He gradually adapted to life on the desert island.
He began building a simple shelter, using branches and leaves to protect him from the bad weather and attacks by wild animals.
He also learned how to make simple tools, using stone and wood to make stone axes and wooden forks so that he could better collect food and protect himself.
Wu Xin never gave up looking for an opportunity to leave the deserted island.
Every day he would climb to the top of the mountain and look into the distance, hoping to see a passing ship or plane.
However, Wu Xin waited anxiously, but no rescue ship arrived.
He began to despair, but a spark of hope still burned deep inside him.
One day, when Wu Xin climbed to the top of the mountain as usual, he was pleasantly surprised to see a ship passing by in the distance.
He was so excited that he almost jumped up, waving his hands desperately and shouting loudly, trying to attract the crew's attention.
However, the ship did not seem to see him, or chose to ignore his presence and sped away.
Wu Xin widened his eyes and stared blankly at the ship gradually disappearing into the distant horizon.
He couldn't accept what was happening before his eyes, and his anger and hatred surged like a tide.
He felt that he was abandoned by the world, and all this was because of Xiao Tuobang's arrival.
If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be trapped here and wouldn't suffer so much.
He blamed all the responsibility on Xiao Tuobang, saying that it was his arrival that led to his current predicament.
Wu Xin gnashed his teeth and secretly swore a poisonous oath: "If I can escape this disaster by chance, I will make sure my descendants find Xiao Tuobang and avenge him!
