Ran Mo's face paled. He quickly put on his clothes and went to check. Seeing no one on the other side, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Of course, she couldn't see. Qingsheng was now nervously clinging to the wall below the small window, half-crouching. He dared not breathe, even though his wound was being pulled.

He had absolutely no ill intentions. He was just curious and wanted to see what Ranmo was doing through the window, or maybe to scare her mischievously. But he hadn't expected to see such a slightly erotic scene.

It was strange. He was usually not ashamed to be shirtless in front of others, but the sight of this half-naked woman's shoulders made his heart beat faster. Worried about being mistaken for a scoundrel, he quickly hid before Ran Mo noticed.

Ranmo casually closed the small window. After a moment's thought, he piled a few more books in the empty space. Now, even with the window open, he couldn't see anything.

Wei Hua came back late and saw that there was no light in the room. She asked Qing Sheng softly if he could go to bed.

After Qingsheng agreed, Weihua asked if she could get up and eat some of the date cakes she had brought back. Qingsheng said it was late and they could eat them tomorrow morning. Weihua then packed up and went to bed.

In the middle of the night, Ran Mo was awakened by a bang from Qing Sheng's room. She was a light sleeper, so she didn't dare to ask loudly. She got out of bed, walked to the small window, and whispered, "What's going on?"

Qingsheng heard the noise and replied weakly, "Nothing." Ranmo returned to her bed and lay down. After a while, she heard two gentle knocks on the window. She stood up again and went over to ask what was going on.

Qingsheng mumbled over there, saying he needed to relieve himself. Ranmo suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to put a commode in his room. Since it was inconvenient to search for one right now, he opened the door and walked to the next room. The door was ajar, so he pushed it open and went in.

Seeing Qingsheng standing in the middle of the room, looking a little embarrassed, Ranmo helped him go to the restroom once during the day. It was really hard to walk in the dark. Without thinking much, she helped Qingsheng out.

Qingsheng snuggled up to her and walked to the courtyard gate, about to go to the toilet. Ranmo helped him straight to the vegetable patch. Qingsheng looked at her puzzled. Ranmo said, "Let's do it here." Qingsheng said that this was not a good idea. Ranmo glanced at him and said jokingly, "Who said we should fertilize the fields last time?"

Qingsheng gave an embarrassed smile and didn't insist. He just urinated, then turned his back and peed again. A mist rose from the seedlings.

After finishing the unbuttoning, he was about to turn around, but accidentally let his trousers fall down to his ankles. He couldn't reach it, and it was inconvenient to squat down, so he looked at Ran Mo eagerly.

Ran Mo sighed. He leaned over to help him pull up his pants and fasten his belt. His hands weren't injured, and he needed a good service. Qing Sheng just watched, dumbfounded.

Back at the door, Ranmo indicated that he could knock on the window and call her if he needed anything. Qingsheng nodded, and the two of them went to sleep separately.

Early in the morning, Ranmo was awakened by a series of knocks on the door. She opened her eyes and saw Weihua standing by the doorframe. Seeing Ranmo awake, she told her that she had met a man on the street yesterday who claimed to be Wu Shao's servant. He asked if she was from Ranmo's family and said that Wu Shao wanted to find out if Qingsheng had been to her house in the past two days.

Wei Hua was reluctant to tell Qing Sheng that he had been recuperating at her house for the past two days, so she simply said that they had met. The servant said that Young Master Wu might come to her house today to see if he could run into Qing Sheng.

Ranmo thought, well, this guy hasn't been back for a few days, and now he's showing up. Weihua said she was out doing something early in the morning, and if that guy shows up, Ranmo will handle it.

Ranmo thought it would be a good idea for Weihua to avoid the situation, so he agreed. Ranmo then woke Qingsheng up and told him that Master Wu might be coming over today, so he should be prepared.

Qingsheng was completely reluctant when he heard this. He could live wherever he wanted, no one else could control him. He looked like a sulking child. Ranmo couldn't do anything about him, so he just had to wait for Young Master Wu to arrive.

Sure enough, it wasn't long before Master Wu and Master Hua arrived. Ran Mo heard them and went out to greet them. The two entered the courtyard and looked around, saying that Ran Mo's courtyard was not big, but it was kept in perfect order. They walked around but didn't see Qing Sheng.

Just as I was wondering, Qingsheng came out from the kitchen carrying a rice washing basin, speaking slowly.

Young Master Wu and the other two couldn't help but gape in surprise. After not seeing him for a few days, he'd even learned to cook! He didn't act like a young master, but more like a househusband.

Hua Shao greeted him with a smile and asked him what happened to his leg. Also, is he going to treat everyone with Taomi?

Qingsheng just said he had accidentally scratched himself. They'd all have porridge and breakfast together later.

Young Master Wu took a quick look, stepped forward, and told him to stay still. He then lowered his head to examine his injuries. He then said, "Is your injury serious? If you take time to heal, it will take a long time to recover. You don't want to be unable to move around or practice martial arts for a long time, do you?" He then asked Qingsheng to go back with him and asked a doctor to come and intensively treat him.

Ranmo thought this made sense, so he asked Qingsheng to agree. Qingsheng hesitated for a moment, then agreed with a slightly depressed look on his face.

Ran Mo took the rice bowl from his hand and told Wu Shao that they could have breakfast together and it would not be too late to leave.

Young Master Wu nodded and praised, "I didn't expect Ranmo could cook. Let's try his cooking today." He turned to look at Qingsheng again, a meaningful smile on his face.

Ranmo went to the kitchen and worked hard, not only cooking porridge, but also frying eggs and mixing some side dishes. Together with the date cakes that Weihua had bought, a simple but nutritious breakfast was served.

Young Master Wu and Young Master Hua were enjoying their meal, even saying it was better than what their own chefs cooked. Qing Sheng, on the other hand, remained silent, as if he was used to the meal.

After dinner, they chatted for a while. Young Master Wu had wanted to bring up the poetry gathering, but considering Qingsheng couldn't attend for the time being, he decided to wait. Then, he said goodbye to Ranmo.

Qingsheng pouted and looked at Ranmo. Ranmo wanted to laugh but didn't dare to, and wanted to stay but couldn't. He could only watch him being dragged back by the two men like a prisoner.

Ran Mo recalled the time when his mother held him in her arms and took him to kindergarten unwillingly. No matter how much he hated to be separated from his mother, he had to compromise temporarily.

At this moment, she only hoped that Qingsheng's injury would heal and recover soon.

After they left, Ran Mo felt a pang of melancholy as he looked at the empty courtyard. Once you've been together and have longed for someone, a sense of loneliness will naturally arise when they're apart.

Seeing the piles of cloth in the courtyard, Ranmo decided to take advantage of this time to work hard and improve her legal practice. Weihua was working so hard, so she couldn't fall too far behind. She also couldn't be too—playful. She didn't dare use other words. She really couldn't indulge in her children's play.

The next morning, Ran Mo ate a quick bite and prepared to go to the lawyer's stall. He figured he hadn't been there in a few days, and the waiter probably wouldn't bring the tables and chairs. As usual, he grabbed the lawyer's playing card and went.

The sky was still a little foggy. The streets were sparsely populated. Even in the grove, the mist still hung thick, leaving few people visible.

Ran Mo yawned, feeling that he had arrived a little early. He could only find a place to sit down and rest while waiting.

At this moment, a woman appeared not far away, looking over here. Seeing that only Ran Mo was there, she slowly walked over, holding up her skirt and pants.
