"Tom, is this what you want to bring me to see?" Lamia stretched out her finger and poked the pale yellow snake skin. The snake skin, which originally looked quite solid, turned into a pool of powder under her touch.

Lamia withdrew her hand instantly and turned to look at Tom. Although there was no expression on her face, the slightly flickering pupils hinted at her panic.

"How is that possible, Lamia?" Tom patted Lamia's head in amusement. "This is just garbage. The real fun is further inside. It's dark out front. Do you want to come closer to me?"

Lamia had no right to choose. Before she could even open her mouth, Tom pulled her into his arms and they held hands.

Lamia took a deep breath. There was a magical smell on Tom that always made her feel at ease, even in an environment that she knew was very dangerous.

"Tom, will you be in danger?" Lamia asked obsessively, but she soon discovered her abnormality. What does Tom's situation have to do with her? There is no way they can have a result. Tom doesn't even exist. No matter how real this is, this place is just her dream.

"I won't leave you alone, Lamia." Tom was serious and held Lamia's hand tightly, as if this could keep her by his side.

"Impossible, Tom."

"Nothing is impossible, Lamia. There's nothing I can't do if I want to." Tom laughed at himself. "If there's one thing I can't do, it's you—you're the only one who can make me violate my principles again and again."

Lamia stopped talking. She began to feel the cold. It was a really novel experience. You know, in Lamia's previous world, let alone the cold, her body couldn't even feel the smallest touch.

Lamia could hold on for a while at first, but as time went on, her body began to tremble, and even the breath she exhaled began to turn white.

"Lamia, you are cold." Tom was wearing a thin robe, but he didn't look cold at all. On the contrary, his palms were warm like a stove.

Lamia couldn't help but tighten her grip a little bit and began to move closer to him step by step.

"Yes, Tom."

Lamia said.

According to Lamia's guess, Tom should have cast a few heat preservation spells or even warming spells on her, but he only asked one question and then stopped moving. Instead, he distanced himself from Lamia and slowly retracted his hand.

The passage was very long and there was no end in sight. Lamia didn't know what was ahead, and of course she would not let Tom pull his hand back. She increased her strength and tightly grasped Tom's warm and dry hand in her small palm.

Tom didn't say a word and didn't retract his hand, but his narrowed eyes and the involuntarily raised corners of his mouth showed how happy he was.

Lamia still felt very cold, but she had no magic power. Tom had not cast a spell on her now, and she was afraid that he would not cast one on her later. She could only hug Tom's entire arm in her arms, and then she felt better.

Tom was even happier, but his pace was getting slower and slower. It took them nearly 30 minutes to walk less than 500 meters. Lamia was shocked. "Tom, are you walking too slowly? It's very cold here."

After she finished speaking, she moved closer to Tom. For some reason, her temperature would rise a lot whenever she was close to Tom.

"Lamia, it's too dark ahead. I've tried my best to walk fast." Tom quietly put the wand in his hand back into his arms. He did not forget to look at Lamia who was hugging his arm with her face almost touching his. He was relieved to see that she did not notice his little movement.

The passage was indeed very dark. Lamia understood Tom, so she stopped talking and tried her best to get closer to him, hoping to draw warmth from him.

Soon after Lamia finished speaking, Tom sped up, but the temperature in the passage became even lower. Lamia felt that this place was colder than the coldest underground coffin in their tribe.

Tom glanced at Lamia from time to time, but still did not cast a spell on her.

Lamia couldn't bear it anymore and stopped, "Tom, let's go back, it's too cold here." Her nose was frozen red, she raised her pitiful little face, her eyes full of dependence.

Of course, this is what Tom saw.

The truth was, Lamia forcefully grabbed Tom's hand and leaned against the cold wall, refusing to move forward, appearing stubborn and obstinate.

"If you want to leave, then leave. Otherwise, come back with me. I won't leave anyway." Lamia became angry. She finally understood that Tom was lying to her. He had no intention of taking her to see the monster he raised. He was just taking revenge.

"That's not true, Lamia. How could I be like this?" Tom wanted to laugh but couldn't. He could only pinch Lamia's red cheeks. "There really is something up ahead. Come with me and you'll see. I won't lie to you."

Lamia looked back. There was no light behind her, but in front of her, she could at least see some traces of a building, which was something very large.

Lamia looked around Tom and suddenly opened his robe, revealing the thin shirt underneath. "I'm wearing thicker clothes than you, why aren't you afraid of the cold?" Lamia was puzzled.

"I'm not an ordinary person." Tom's mouth has never dropped since he came in. Lamia even wondered if he wouldn't get tired.

"It's tiring, but I'm very happy now." Tom couldn't help laughing.

Lamia thought of a solution. She pulled Tom's robe open completely and got inside. Although she felt warm immediately, Lamia felt it was not enough. She could still feel the cold wind penetrating into her bones.

Lamia then took off her coat inside Tom's robe, which was fortunately large enough for her to do whatever she wanted inside.

Tom let Lamia do what she wanted, and not only that, he even reached out to catch the coat she threw out.

"Lamia, how are you going to get out like this?" Tom laughed and put his chin on Lamia's head in front of him.

"It's okay if I don't come out." Lamia said casually, turned around and hugged Tom's strong waist tightly.

Sure enough, her method was very effective. There were only two thin layers of clothes between the two of them, and the heat generated by the friction between their skin warmed Lamia's cold and stiff body.

Lamia felt the benefit and held Tom tightly. She also realized that even if this was a dream, she could not let herself down.

Tom was very satisfied. He walked forward with Lamia in front of him. His speed was much faster than before. He finished the 30-minute journey in 10 minutes. The robe that was originally held tight by Lamia also opened with his movements.

Tom took a look and buttoned all the buttons tightly, not forgetting to pull them with his hands.

After they walked for a while, Lamia felt tired, so she simply stretched out her legs and hung them around Tom's waist. She grabbed his neck with both hands, put her head on his neck, and closed her eyes comfortably.

Tom was helpless. He only had one pair of hands, and not only did he have to pull the clothes, but he also had to hold Lamia's coat, and now he had to support her. Tom wished he could grow another pair of hands.

Although he could only think so, Tom still tried his best to support Lamia so that she would not be too tired.

Soon, before Lamia even opened her eyes, the two arrived at their destination—an underground space with a giant stone statue.

"Lamia, wake up, we're here." Tom whispered into Lamia's ear.

Lamia finally opened her eyes. Now she understood. Since Tom wanted her to depend on him, she didn't hate him, so she just let it go.

So Lamia had no intention of coming down and continued hanging on Tom.

It wasn't until Lamia saw the giant creature in front of her that she felt extremely grateful for her actions.
