Lamia sat on the edge of the bed, placed the items she had prepared long ago under her pillow, and cast a spell on herself - a spell she had accidentally discovered in Snape's office that could bring real objects into dreams.

Lamia was in a very bad situation in her dream, at least she couldn't accept it. Even Alaric had never been like this. "Tom, I will make you pay the price." Lamia lay down on the bed and closed her eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, Tom's face was almost overlapping Lamia's. "Go away."

Lamia pushed Tom away from her, then leaned against the wall, panting, as if she had just used up all her strength.

"Lamia, did you go back just now?" Tom smiled, taking Lamia's resistance as fun, playing with the hair on her forehead with his fingers, but his eyes looking at Lamia were serious.

"Didn't you already know that?" Lamia said calmly, as if she couldn't understand the danger in his eyes.

"Well, since you are unhappy, then I am not this anymore." Tom put the loose hair in his hand to his nose and sniffed it carefully, with a smile on his face.

"Don't you have classes today?" Lamia pulled her hair back impatiently, her voice very cold.

"Lamia, you've changed a lot since you went back." Tom didn't get angry, but just held the broken hair again. "Do you have a way to deal with me?"

Yes, Lamia didn't expect it to be so smooth. The things that were enough to restore her magic were hidden in her arms. Tom was really perceptive.

"I have nothing to say." Lamia knew that Tom was monitoring her thoughts all the time, and her heart was full of contempt.

"Lamia, do you think I really want to hear it?" Tom smiled sarcastically and applied force with his fingers, causing Lamia to frown.

"Let go." Lamia knew that Tom was angry, but she was not going to give in. She was always the one who gave in. Why?

"Because you need me, Lamia." Tom bit his finger and bright red liquid came out.

"Well, as a devotee, it's not wrong for you to bow your head to me." Lamia's throat was dry and she turned her head away.

"What do you want?" Lamia just wanted to fully recover her magic power and then lock Tom up, letting him endure the pain of being taken away until there was not a drop of blood left in his body.

"That won't do. You can lock me up, but you can't suck me dry." Tom's mood suddenly improved.

"Don't you have your own business?"

Lamia, who had been silent all this time, could no longer bear Tom's naked gaze and was forced to speak.

"Yes, it's our business. You need to accompany me to Professor Slughorn's dinner tonight." Tom pushed Lamia to the corner, his voice indescribably sexy.

"Why? I'm not a student of Hogwarts yet." Lamia raised her eyelids, her red eyes filled with confusion, looking very cute.

Tom didn't hide his love for Lamia and bit her cheek. "You're so cute."

"I'm asking you, why did you bite me?" Lamia covered her face in pain, and her legs kicked towards Tom's lower abdomen as she moved.

Tom quickly dodged and said, "Lamia, you are the boss now. As long as I am in school, no one will kick you out." Tom's eyes darkened, and when he thought of some stubborn old guys, the corners of his mouth rose cruelly.

"But I don't want to go." Lamia took this opportunity to walk to the bed, and while Tom was looking out the window, she quickly hid the things in her arms under the quilt.

Although she didn't listen carefully to what Tom said, she really didn't want to attend any ridiculous dinner party, a so-called celebrity's fan meeting, what was the point of going?

"It's different, Lamia. The people who go there are Professor Slughorn's favorite students. We need them."

Tom said.

"What does it have to do with me?" Lamia looked at her fingernails that were growing longer and longer without caring.

"Of course it does. You and I are one, and our goals should be the same." Tom rummaged through the cabinet, then walked to the bed and sat down.

"I need to be strong enough to protect you." Tom gently placed Lamia's fingers in his palm, picked up the nail clippers and carefully trimmed them for her.

"I don't need your protection," Lamia said sullenly.

She grew up in a world of competition. If she didn't work hard to gain her father's favor, she would be abandoned by her family. It was true that she was a pure-blooded aristocrat, but she was not the only descendant of her father.

Lamia recalled that she had done everything to get a little attention from her father, except relying on others.

"This is my choice, Lamia." Tom hugged Lamia lovingly and kissed her on the back of her neck, sincerely without a trace of desire.

For the first time, Lamia felt like responding to him, and she did.

Tom felt the slender arms climbing up from behind, and it was like a mine thrown into the sea. His mind was boiling violently. He trembled and hugged Lamia in his arms until they both fell into the soft bed in ecstasy.

"Somewhere else," Lamia said vaguely.

Tom didn't hesitate, picking up Lamia easily and walking towards the sofa.

It was not until night fell that Tom let go of Lamia's hand. "We have to get ready." He whispered in Lamia's ear.

"Or, go by yourself." Lamia rubbed her sore eyes and said dissatisfiedly.

"No, I can't leave you, Lamia." Tom picked up Lamia and took out the evening dress that had been prepared long ago - a black long dress embroidered with dark gold patterns, while he wore a straight tuxedo with the same dark gold cuffs as hers.

"Do you like it?" Tom carefully dressed Lamia and carried her to the mirror.

"Not bad." Lamia said casually, but her eyes were glued to the two people in the mirror.

Tom chuckled softly and didn't expose Lamia's crude lie, "As long as you like it." It was worth it for him to run all over Hogsmeade.

"There's also a wizard dress that I like very much. Come back and wear it for me." Tom pointed to the bag of clothes in the cupboard. It was the one he bought from Mrs. Binris.

"Whatever." Lamia fixed her long silver hair, pinned a dark red silk rose on it, and nodded with satisfaction.

"Very beautiful, Lamia." Tom hugged her, and the two of them looked like a sweet couple, so sweet that it was sickening.

Tom took out his wand and rushed to the dinner with Lamia.

Hogwarts was always quiet at night, but today, there were many more students around the Black Lake, and bright colors flashed across the sky.

Lamia had never seen such a wonderful sight before. "Lamia, it's still early. You can watch it for a while longer."

"What is this? I've never seen it before." Lamia looked up at the brilliant light in the night sky.

"Magical fireworks are brilliant but short-lived."

Tom followed Lamia's gaze and looked at the green pattern in the air, which was the Slytherin house emblem.

"Sometimes, beautiful things don't last forever." Lamia's red eyes reflected the green light in the sky, which Tom thought was more beautiful than fireworks.

"You're wrong, Lamia. Beautiful things should be held firmly in your hands. Only in this way can they belong to you." Tom stared straight at Lamia and said.

"Then do you want to hold the fireworks in your hand too? Don't be so stubborn."

Lamia said.

"You think it's impossible?" Tom flicked his wand, and green fireworks reappeared in his palm. "How is it?"

"Not very good." Although Lamia was curious about how Tom did it, she didn't want him to be so proud.

"It's just a trick." Tom smiled and lifted the spell, and the fireworks appeared in the night sky again.

"But I did, didn't I?"

"You're cheating."

"That's what I caught. And you, Lamia, are you willing to be caught by me?"
