"Of course, Hermione, how could I say no to you."

Lamia smiled and smoothed down Hermione's shaggy hair.

The two looked at each other, the sunlight falling on their bodies, bringing a late warmth, weak but warm enough.

"Lamia," Harry didn't even change out of his competition clothes. He ran towards the two people in the audience with a broom in his hand, looking excited. His nose was red from the cold, but he was smiling happily.

Lamia turned around, waved, and smiled happily, but Hermione opposite seemed not to notice Harry running over, and was still staring blankly at the silver-haired girl covered in golden light.

"My Merlin, Harry, you're so good! You have no idea how worried I was down there—Snape and Quirrell cast a spell on you!"

Ron appeared out of nowhere and squeezed himself in between Lamia and Hermione.

Ron was indeed full of malice towards Snape, even though he knew it was Quirrell who cast the curse on Harry.

"Harry, I'm glad you're okay. Congratulations." Lamia said with a smile.

"Thank you, Lamia." Harry touched his head shyly, then frowned as if he had thought of something. "I just saw Snape walking over. He was limping. I have a feeling he was bitten by the three-headed dog on the fourth floor. The wound looks like... maybe he was the one who let the troll in."

"Then why did he do that?" Ron was puzzled. "Who would provoke such a monster?"

"I know! It's something guarded by the three-headed dog, and Snape wants to get it!" Harry became excited instantly and felt that he had discovered the truth.

"Not necessarily. Lamia and I both saw Quirrell cast a spell." Hermione, who had been silent for a long time, spoke slowly.

"That's different, Hermione. Professor Quirrell is such a coward, how could he possibly go looking for the three-headed dog?"

Ron shouted back.

"I don't believe Snape did it. After all, he is a professor."

Hermione's eyes widened and she gestured for them to look at Lamia standing to the side.

The three of them looked at each other in unison, and Lamia's face remained calm, as if the person they were talking about was not the dean of her academy, but an unrelated stranger.

"It's okay, you don't need to worry about me."

Lamia said lightly.

"I think we still need to investigate. It's best to find out what they are guarding so that we can understand their purpose."

Hermione said, and the two people beside her nodded.

The three of them unanimously decided to ask Hagrid, because Harry suddenly remembered the mysterious object that Hagrid took away from the wizarding bank at the beginning of the school year.

Lamia originally wanted to go back and rest, but Harry and Hermione pulled her back, "No, Lamia, if you don't go, the team will be incomplete."

Hermione held onto Lamia's arm and wouldn't let go.

Lamia didn't even know when she joined them. A squad? It sounded like a Muggle game of pretend.

Helpless Lamia was dragged to Hagrid's hut.

"How do you know Lu Wei?"

After Harry explained the truth, Hagrid put down the teacup in his hand and asked loudly.

"Lewley?" Ron frowned and asked doubtfully.

"Yes, it's mine. I bought it from a Greek chap I met in the tavern last year. I lent it to Dumbledore to look after it..."

"What?" Harry asked eagerly.

"Nothing, come on, stop asking," said Hagrid gruffly. "That's Top Secret, got it?"

"But Snape wanted to steal it," Harry persisted.

"Nonsense," said Hagrid again, "Snape is a teacher at Hogwarts, he would never do such a thing."

"But he and Quirrell wanted to kill Harry!" cried Hermione. "Someone or other cast a spell on Harry's broom, and he nearly fell out of the air!"

"That's impossible! They are all professors, they won't do anything to Harry." Hagrid didn't believe it at all.

"But they all stared at Harry without blinking. I read in a book that only curses would do that!"

Hermione slammed the table.

Hagrid was startled. "Okay, stop talking now. Forget about the big dog. This is none of your business. This is a matter between Dumbledore and Flamel."

"Who? Flamel?"

Harry grasped the key at once.

But Hagrid was obviously angry and pushed several people away, not even forgetting Lamia who had been standing behind as a background.

The people who were kicked out came to the library area, and Hermione felt like she seemed to have seen this name somewhere.

"He's not in 'The Great Wizards of the Twentieth Century,' nor in 'A Directory of Famous Contemporary Magicians.' Furthermore, his name can't be found in 'The Great Discoveries of Modern Magic' or 'A Study of the Development of Modern Witchcraft.'"

Ron said desperately, it seemed that he was fed up.

"Okay, Ron, we'll definitely find it. I swear, I've seen it in a book somewhere." Hermione said without raising her head as she flipped through the thick book in her hand.

Even Lamia was given a book, but she felt that their search would be fruitless. After all, she had read most of the books here - in search of a way to restore her magic power.

"Perhaps there will be clues there?" Harry unknowingly walked to the restricted area. The books here required the professor's autograph before they could be read.

"Forget it, Harry, this is against Hogwarts rules."

Hermione said.

But Lamia's eyes lit up. She had never been to the restricted area, and maybe there really was the solution she needed there.

The few people who found nothing walked out of the library. Hermione was still chattering, "I really saw it. Where was it?"

"Yeah, yeah, you've read everything. All the books in Hogwarts are eager to be read by you." Ron said sarcastically. He had read 10 times more books today than he had in the past.

There are fewer people in Hogwarts tonight. Christmas is coming soon, and many students choose to go home tonight in order to catch breakfast the next day.

"I feel sorry for some people who have to stay in school for the holidays because their families don't want to see them." As they walked into the hall, Malfoy's mocking voice reached their ears.

Malfoy was becoming increasingly annoying, and he had been sullen since the Quidditch match. Many people admired Harry's ability to keep his balance on the lost broom and catch the Golden Snitch; even Lamia applauded him, which made Malfoy jealous and angry, and he could only mock Harry's family.

Harry completely ignored him as he saw Hagrid carrying a huge fir tree.

"Do you need help?" Ron came forward.

"No, thank you, Ron," Hagrid gasped.

"Are you so poor that you want to earn Hagrid's money, Weasley?" Draco's sarcastic voice came from behind them. "Indeed, Hagrid's hut looks like a castle compared to yours."

Goyle and Crabbe scoffed in unison.

"That's enough, Draco."

Lamia said.

"Lamia, are you going to join them in opposing me?" Draco's face flushed with anger. "I just didn't keep an eye on you for an afternoon, and they kidnapped you?"

"You're so rude." Lamia walked forward and pulled Draco with her without question. "Apologize to Ron."

Draco felt the sudden softness in his hand, and the panic in his heart slowly calmed down. He actually said sorry stiffly. Although it was insincere, everyone present opened their mouths wide with disbelief.

Ron only came to his senses after Lamia dragged Draco away.

"Did I hear you right, Malfoy? You actually apologized to me just because of something Lamia said?" He pointed at himself, his red hair shaking slightly, as if to say that he heard you right.

Having said that, Ron was obviously feeling quite proud, and even had a better impression of Lamia.

Harry, however, looked at the direction they left with a serious expression, his fingers clenched secretly, and there was an imperceptible loss and jealousy in his green eyes.
