After HP shared the dream, Lao Fu was conquered by me
Chapter 257: Competition (4)
There were at least thirty wizards on the field, with seven or eight of them responsible for dealing with a fire dragon. They pulled the chains, trying desperately to subdue the four dragons. The chains were connected to the thick leather belts that tied the dragons' legs and necks.
Not to mention Harry, even Lamia was completely speechless. They had never seen these horrible creatures that only existed in books.
Lamia raised her head and saw the black dragon's eyes from high above. Its pupils were vertical like a cat's, and it was unclear whether it was out of fear or anger, but its eyes bulged. The black dragon made a terrible sound, a shrill and piercing wail.
Lamia suddenly felt a surge of sadness in her heart, and she suppressed the discomfort and looked away.
At this moment, the wizards suddenly screamed, and they seemed to be unable to control this horrible creature.
"Don't come over here, Hagrid, stay right there!" shouted a wizard near the fence, tugging at the chain. "They can blow fire twenty feet, you know! I've seen this Horntail go forty!"
"How beautiful!" said Hagrid softly, his specially manicured face reflecting the flames of the dragon's breath.
"Be careful!" another wizard shouted. "Quick! Cast the Stunning Spell on the count of three, all at once!"
Everyone in the room saw all the dragon trainers draw their wands simultaneously.
"Stupefy!" they cried in unison, and the Stunning Spell shot like a rocket into the black night sky, sending sparks raining down on the scaly hides of the four dragons.
Then the dragon nearest them staggered to its hind legs, its mouth wide open in a silent roar, the fire in its nostrils suddenly extinguished but still emitting blue smoke.
Then, very slowly, it fell, the multi-ton, powerful, black-scaled dragon crashing to the ground with a crash that Lamia thought would shake the trees behind her away.
The dragon tamer put down his wand and walked towards the giant dragons lying on the ground. Each dragon was like a small mountain. The dragon tamer hurriedly tied the chains and tied them firmly to the iron pillars. He then used his wand to nail the iron pillars deep into the ground.
"Want to take a closer look?" Hagrid asked Madame Maxime excitedly, and they both walked towards the fence, Lamia and Harry following of course.
The wizard who had just warned Hagrid not to come near turned around, and Lamia recognized him almost immediately. It was Charlie Weasley.
"Well, Hagrid?" he gasped, coming over to speak to them. "They should be all right now. We gave them a sleeping potion, and they were asleep all the way here. We thought they'd feel better if they woke up in the quiet of the night, but, as you can see, they're not happy. Not at all."
"What kinds have you got here, Charlie?" asked Hagrid, gazing at the nearest black dragon with something almost worshipful.
The black dragon's eyes were still slightly open, and Lamia could see a thin glint of yellow light beneath its wrinkled black eyelids.
"So that's how it is," Lamia said thoughtfully.
"What?" Harry lowered his head and listened attentively to Lamia's next words, but Lamia did not speak again. She just stared silently at the black dragon in the field.
"This is the Hungarian Horntail," Charlie introduced, "The smaller one over there is the common Welsh Green Dragon, the silver-blue one is the Swedish Short-nosed Dragon, the red one is the Chinese Fireball, and that one--" Charlie's tone suddenly became serious. He looked at the dragon lying quietly in the only cage. It seemed to be asleep and made no sound.
"The most dangerous..."
Hagrid muttered.
Charlie looked around. "Yes, it's not as docile as it looks. We stumbled upon it on the road. There were just five of them. Who says this isn't fate? Merlin, it's the most brutal one I've ever seen..."
Charlie said with lingering fear.
"So, you young people were all killed by it..." Hagrid said cautiously.
"Yes, it's a demon!" Charlie's face was filled with fear that could not be wiped away. "There has never been a dragon like it. Maybe it's not a dragon at all, but another kind of creature we have never known..."
"It combines all the advantages of snakes..."
"Charlie!"
Just as Hagrid and Lamia were listening intently, another dragon trainer got up from the ground and scolded Charlie sharply.
"Okay, okay, I can't say much more. Anyway, everything is..."
Lamia looked at the dragon that curled up and was about to fall asleep, and couldn't help but feel a little worried. If it was really as Charlie said, Lamia just hoped that she would not be the one to draw it.
While everyone's attention was on the unknown dragon, Lamia happened to notice Madame Maxime strolling along the grounds, staring at the stunned fire dragon.
"I didn't expect you'd bring her along, Hagrid," Charlie said again, frowning. "A warrior shouldn't know what he's up against. She'll definitely tell her students, won't she?"
"I just think she is willing to come and see it." Hagrid shrugged his shoulders, still staring at the dragon infatuatedly.
"What a romantic date, Hagrid," said Charlie, shaking his head helplessly.
"These dragons, are they what the first task is about?" Hagrid said. "What does each warrior need to do, fight a dragon?"
"I think we'll just have to pass by the dragon," Charlie said. "If things get bad, we'll be ready to rush forward and cast an extinguishing spell on the dragon. They only want female dragons brooding on eggs. I don't understand why, but I can tell you that no dragon is easy to fool. Take the Hungarian Horntail, for example. It won't show mercy. Look, its back is just as dangerous as the front."
Charlie pointed at the hornet's tail. Lamia could clearly see the long, bronze-colored stingers sticking out every few inches from the tail. "Of course, the most dangerous one is the one..." Charlie nodded at the cage.
At this time, Charlie's four dragon training companions walked towards the hornet, one step high and one step low. They were carrying a blanket with a nest of huge, granite-colored dragon eggs in it. They carefully placed the dragon eggs next to the hornet.
Hagrid groaned, unable to suppress his inner desire.
"I counted them, Hagrid," said Charlie sternly. Then he added, "How about Harry and Lamia?"
"Not bad," said Hagrid, still staring at the dragon egg.
"I really hope they're safe after facing this danger," Charlie said thoughtfully, looking at the area where the dragons were kept. "I don't even dare to tell Mom what they're about to face."
