"No, sir, I have something else to do." Lamia still wanted to find out about Hagrid, although she had guessed that Dumbledore could handle it.

"I'll take care of it. Hagrid won't be expelled, and I'll make good use of the evidence you gave me."

Only then was Lamia willing to leave. She took the lead and walked out of the principal's office. Harry kept calling her name behind her, but Lamia completely ignored him.

"Lamia, please don't be angry, okay?" Harry made a bitter face and ran very fast, and soon came to Lamia's side.

"Harry, I have something else to do. I have to go first." Lamia said casually. She didn't even turn her head and walked ahead. Of course, Harry couldn't give up like that. He kept chasing Lamia, as if he would not leave until she listened to his explanation.

"Shut up, Harry!" Lamia was really starting to get annoyed with him, and her words were inevitably filled with emotion, which made Harry immediately let go of her hand, and he was stunned, completely unaware of what to do next second.

……

The next afternoon, Lamia came to Hagrid's hut early. She wanted to tell Hagrid that everything was resolved and he would not be expelled, but before she got close, she saw members of the school committee. They were holding a notice in their hands and reading it to Hagrid.

"…The Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures has determined that Buckbeak the Hippogriff, hereinafter referred to as the Condemned Person, shall be executed at sunset on June 6th…"

Lamia found it difficult to describe her current mood. She had done everything, but nothing changed. Buckbeak was still going to be executed, and Hagrid was still poisoned.

It seemed as if everything was already doomed before she used the Time-Turner; if they had succeeded, Hagrid wouldn't have been poisoned and Buckbeak wouldn't have hurt Draco.

Lamia suddenly felt that she was too insignificant, especially in this huge world in the book. She had always looked at everything here with the arrogance of a time traveler, but she didn't know how stupid she was.

But Lamia was not defeated by her predetermined fate. Her fighting spirit was rekindled. No matter what, she was determined to save Buckbeak this time.

Lamia hid behind a rock and quietly approached Hagrid's hut. The committee members were still reading aloud the extremely long and biased notice.

Kill them all!

An extremely evil thought rang in Lamia's mind, and she was even startled by herself.

Lamia always knew that she was not a good person, but this thought in her heart made her feel scared.

But now was not the time to think about that. Lamia moved back to Hagrid's pumpkin patch, where Buckbeak was tied to the fence.

Lamia waited until they had finished reading, and one of the wizards took a step forward from the crowd. Even in his robes, Lamia could see the muscles all over his body and feel the murderous aura around him.

"Where's the beast?" McNeill asked in a cold voice.

"Behind…behind," said Hagrid hoarsely.

McNeill crossed Hagrid's hut and craned his neck toward the pumpkin patch. He glared at Buckbeak, and then they heard another wizard's voice. "We... oh... have to tell you about the procedure, Hagrid. You and McNeill will have to sign. You should listen too, McNeill. It's the procedure."

McNeill disappeared in the pumpkin patch and saw Buckbeak tied up, so he walked back to Hagrid's hut with peace of mind.

Lamia knew the time was now, and she sprinted out from behind the tree, around the fence into the pumpkin patch, and approached Buckbeak.

Buckbeak had been terrified ever since Lamia arrived, digging his claws deep into the earth, not even daring to look at Lamia, as if that would cost him his life.

Lamia quickly cut the rope around Buckbeak's neck. "Go, get out of here!" Her voice was soft, but loud enough for the giant to hear.

Buckbeak didn't move. He covered his head with his wings and fled like an ostrich.

"Go! Go!"

Lamia patted Buckbeak on the back and kept looking at Hagrid's hut. Through the thin window, Lamia saw Hagrid signing. Time was running out.

But here, Buckbeak did not take off, and it kept backing away, as if it regarded Lamia as something extremely terrifying.

"Go!"

Lamia didn't dare to delay, so she could only climb onto Buckbeak's neck, lie on its back, and control it to fly into the sky as before.

The moment she flew up, Lamia saw the people coming out of Hagrid's hut. McNeill was holding a huge machete in his hand and walking towards the pumpkin patch. The people following him moved very easily, as if they were going to watch a good show, except for Hagrid.

Even in the sky, Lamia could still sense Hagrid's stagnation. He didn't want to go over, especially to witness Buckbeak's execution.

The group walked sparsely to the pumpkin patch, but they were all stunned. The place where Buckbeak was tied was now empty.

Lamia saw McNeill drop the machete in his hand, holding his head and turning behind him. They seemed to be talking about something. Suddenly, Lamia noticed that this group of people began to raise their heads towards the sky.

She quickly grabbed Buckbeak by the hair on the back of his neck and sent him flying again. This was undoubtedly correct, as the committee members could not see clearly at all at high altitudes.

Lamia had no idea what happened next. Buckbeak took her to an unknown lake.

After just getting along, Buckbeak was no longer afraid of Lamia. It flew for a long time and was very thirsty. It tucked its wings and walked to the lake, and began to drink the lake water in big gulps.

Lamia didn't know where this place was, nor did she know how far she was from Hogwarts. She only knew that she had been hanging on Buckbeak's neck for a long time. Fortunately, she could fly, otherwise she would not be able to withstand such a long high-altitude flight.

Just as Lamia was stunned, a large group of hippogriffs came out from the woods behind. They looked at Buckbeak who was still drinking water curiously. One of them was so bold that he threw the meat in his mouth to him.

Buckbeak froze for a moment, pausing his drinking. Then he chirped sharply and looked back at Lamia, his eyes seeming to be saying goodbye.

The next second, Buckbeak picked up the piece of meat and followed his unfamiliar compatriots into the depths of the woods.
