"But I need to add one thing." Lupin smiled. "It's probably this: the Boggart sitting in the darkness inside the wardrobe hasn't taken on any form yet - it doesn't know what will frighten the people outside. No one knows what a Boggart looks like when it's alone, but when I let it out, it will immediately become the thing that scares each of us the most."

"What this means," Professor Luhu continued, ignoring Draco's calculatedly humorous scream of terror, "is that we have a huge advantage over the Boggarts before we even begin. Have you noticed this advantage, Harry and Ron?"

The two people whose names were called raised their heads and looked at Lupin in front of them with confusion. They seemed to be completely out of shape, which disappointed Lupin. He even sighed. Hermione, who had been jumping up and down with her hands raised, was even more lost. She didn't understand why the professors were unwilling to let her answer the questions.

The situation was already very embarrassing, and Harry had to answer, "I think - maybe, there are too many of us? They don't know what kind of shape they will become to scare us?"

Lupin didn't respond, but looked at Ron on the other side, as if waiting for his answer.

"Professor, Harry and I think the same thing." Ron lowered his head, not daring to look at the people around him. He had already heard Draco's unscrupulous and sarcastic laughter.

Even Lamia couldn't guess Lupin's next move, simply because he looked so calm, neither confirming nor denying the answer.

After a long while, he finally spoke: "That's right."

"When dealing with a Boggart, the best way is to have more people. When there are more people, it will be confused." Lupin smiled and put his wand into his waistband. He changed the direction and continued, "What should it become? A headless corpse, a flesh-eating slug? Or a ghost without a body?

I once saw a Boggart make that mistake – trying to scare two people at once, he turned himself into a half-slug. Not scary at all.”

Lupin's joking teaching style easily won the students' attention. Even Ron, who usually dozed off in class, now listened very attentively.

"He talks much better than Snape, I guess you think so too, don't you, mate?" Ron bumped Harry's shoulder excitedly, but the latter didn't seem to forgive him completely and just rolled his eyes at him.

Lamia glanced over accidentally and saw Ron spreading his hands at her, his eyes full of helplessness.

Lamia turned her head away. She didn't want to care about the conflict between the two at all.

……

"The spell to repel a Boggart is simple, but it requires willpower." Lupin drew his wand and tapped the desk in the faculty lounge. "You know, what really scares a Boggart away is laughter. It has to come from the heart. When you face a Boggart, you have to force it to assume the most ridiculous image you think."

The whole class had never heard of this theory before, and they all started whispering to each other, their words full of doubts about Lupin.

"Don't be anxious, everyone." Lupin cleared his throat and pointed casually at himself. "Be sure to look carefully below."

Just when everyone thought Lupin would demonstrate it himself, he turned around and looked at Lamia at the back of the crowd.

"Miss Nocturne, you are listening so attentively. Why don't you be the vanguard for everyone? Don't worry, it's just about releasing the Boggart from the closet." Lupin smiled, and Lamia read a funny look in his eyes.

"Okay, sir." Lamia walked to the front of the wardrobe without being humble or arrogant, and pushed open the seemingly heavy door with just one push.

Everyone stretched their necks, wanting to see what horrible thing would come out of it, but after a long time, Lamia, who was closest to the cabinet, did not see what was inside.

She looked at Lupin puzzledly, wanting an explanation from him.

"Don't be anxious, kids, let me see, oh, maybe it's too shy - of course, I'm just kidding, um -" Lupin moved closer, his head getting closer and closer, even completely immersed in the dark wardrobe.

At this moment, a wisp of thick black smoke entered Lamia's nostrils. Her pupils shrank sharply, and she quickly pulled Lupin's arm and led him away from the wardrobe.

The next second, a huge werewolf, three meters tall, came out of the closet door. Its eyes were bloodshot and it roared as it rushed towards Lamia and Lupin. The stench that hit them made Lamia frown.

"Wow! Help!" The students in the classroom were stunned for a moment and then started running around.

"Please stop! Everyone!" Lupin raised his wand and walked among the crowd. He faced the ferocious-looking werewolf without fear, and then loudly recited a series of spells, so fast that even Lamia, who was closest to him, could not hear it clearly.

Then Lupin put his hands on his hips and laughed at the top of his lungs.

Lamia hid behind the wall, observing everything in front of her, and then she found that the Boggart was like paper, constantly retreating as Lupin approached. Although it still opened its bloody mouth wide enough to swallow him in one gulp, it did not make the next move.

It was not until the Boggart turned into a little girl wearing a red hat that Lupin drove it back into the closet and closed the door, and the staff lounge returned to its previous silence.

The noise of discussion became more pronounced, and most of it was praise for Lupin and comparison with the previous liar professor.

"Alright everyone, please be quiet. Let us thank Miss Nocturne for her cooperation. Now please listen to me introduce this spell."

"Please tell me... funny funny!"

"How funny!" the whole class said in unison.

"Well," said Professor Lupin, "very good, but I'm afraid that's just the easy part." He wiped the sweat from his forehead, and although his expression was calm, Lamia could still see that his face had just recovered.

"You know, just saying this spell is not enough. We also need a warrior who dares to be the first to challenge the Boggart. Gryffindor, please let me see your spirit." Lupin looked in Harry's direction expectantly.

"Professor, I want to try it." Harry adjusted his glasses, and through the lenses, Lamia saw his determined eyes.

"Very good, let's give him some encouragement." Lupin led the applause, and sparse applause soon followed in the classroom.

Lamia had come out from behind the wall and was now standing in the crowd looking at Harry.

The wardrobe began to shake again, but Harry showed no sign of flinching. "Well, Harry," said Professor Lupin, "first thing: what in the world are you most afraid of?"

"Professor, I don't know." Harry shook his head honestly. It's not that he didn't know that he was afraid of many things, but he didn't know which one he was most afraid of.

"It doesn't matter, we'll know once you open it." Lupin moved to the side leisurely. He also wanted to know what his good brother's son was afraid of.

Lamia could clearly see every expression on Harry's face from where she was standing. Harry took several deep breaths before slowly pushing open the still shaking cabinet door.

At this moment, everyone's eyes fell on the Boggart inside. As a puff of white smoke dissipated, a pair of rotten feet covered with disgusting maggots slowly stepped out from inside.

All the color drained from Harry's face. He was the closest and could see it most clearly. The Boggart inside had turned into a dead Lamia.

Harry would never forget that dazzling silver hair and iconic red pupils, but now there was little silver hair left, the red pupils were dull, and the once fair and translucent cheeks were covered in filth.

"Lamia, Lamia, no, no!" Harry retreated repeatedly and collapsed on the ground. His forehead was covered with cold sweat, which was now dripping onto the ground in big drops.

The Boggart in the closet enjoyed the fear on Harry's face so much that it even broke its own arm in order to get further. Of course, in Harry's eyes, it broke Lamia's arm.

Everyone was shocked by this scene. Even though they were not familiar with this strange-looking girl, it did not prevent them from covering their mouths and screaming. After all, this scene was too creepy.
