Lamia looked in the direction of the loud noise, and saw two faces that she was very familiar with. They were Harry and Ron, and Harry was covered in water stains, as if he had just crawled out of the water, but fortunately, the white spots on his body were gone.

"Look, here come two little guys." Lupin didn't seem angry at all. Instead, he looked at Harry and Ron with interest. "You're late for the first class? You really have personality."

"Sorry, Professor, I, we encountered an emergency on the way." Harry lowered his head. He didn't think Lupin was praising him. No professor would like a student who was late for the first class.

"What's going on, Pot, you can't be used to walking on land, so you plan to show off your power in the water." The crowd made way for him, and Draco walked over from behind with an arrogant look, his chin held high, like a proud white peacock.

"None of your business, Malfoy!" Ron was the first to rush forward, grabbing Draco by the collar and raising his fist to hit him. Lamia thought he looked even angrier than Harry.

Although Draco was grabbed by the collar, he looked like the abuser. He had no fear of being threatened at all, and his face was full of ridicule.

They all stood up and followed Professor Lupin out of the classroom. He led them down the deserted corridor and turned a corner.

There, the first thing they saw was Peeves, the Poltergeist, floating upside down in the air and stuffing gum into the nearest keyhole.

"It's Peeves!"

The students all took out their wands. You know, most of them had been fooled by Peeves before, or even if they hadn't, they had heard of his reckless jokes.

"Oh, annoying Lupin, stupid and confused Lupin." Peeves sang loudly, hiding and poking his head out from time to time, as if observing Lupin's reaction.

Peeves was always rude and unruly, but he usually had some respect for teachers. Everyone turned quickly to see how Professor Lupin would react, and to their surprise, he was still smiling.

"Peeves, if I were you, I would get away from you as soon as possible and take the gum with me."

But Peeves completely ignored Lupin's words. Instead, he made a face even more ferociously and sang even more shrilly.

"There's no other way. I can only use you to demonstrate to my students." Lupin was not angry. He took out his wand with a smile and muttered, "Wadi Wasi!" Then he pointed at Peeves.

The small piece of gum shot out of the keyhole like a bullet and went straight into Peeves' left nostril. Peeves immediately turned away and flew into the depths of the corridor screaming.

Everyone had never seen Peeves so embarrassed before, and they all applauded. Lamia was also surprised at Lupin's methods. He won the students' love in just his first class.

"Thank you, everyone," said Professor Lupin, putting away his wand. "Shall we continue walking?" He turned and walked ahead, and they walked down again. The whole class looked at the tattered professor with increased respect.

As they entered the second corridor, Lupin stopped outside the staff room.

"Come in," said Professor Lupin, opening the door and taking a step back.

The faculty lounge was a long space filled with mismatched old chairs, some of which were covered in cobwebs. Lamia herself didn't want to go in, but there was nothing she could do; she couldn't be too eccentric.

"Now, like this," said Professor Lupin, waving the class to the end of the common room.

Lamia looked over too. There was nothing there but a huge old wardrobe where the teachers kept their extra robes. Professor Lupin walked over to this wardrobe and stopped. Suddenly the wardrobe shook and banged against the wall.

Several timid students were so frightened that they took a few steps back and stepped on the shoes of the people behind them.

"Don't worry," said Professor Lupin calmly, a faint light emanating from the tip of his wand. "There's a Boggart in there." He tapped the wardrobe with his wand.

"Boggarts like dark, enclosed spaces," Professor Lupin said. "Wardrobes, the space under beds, the cupboard under the sink—once I found one hidden in an old ancestral clock." Lupin was very pleased with the surprised expression of the student in front of him. He took a few steps to the side. "This one was moved in yesterday afternoon. I asked the headmaster if the teachers could leave it alone to give my third-year students some practice."

"So, the first question we must ask ourselves is, what is a Boggart?"

Hermione raised her hands high, her face full of excitement.

But Lupin didn't ask her to answer the question. Instead, he waved his palm up and down at Lamia, asking her to answer.
