I taught the villagers how to make vermicelli and also gave the team leader some advice on how to process the vermicelli. I believe that with this vermicelli business, the villagers' lives will definitely get better and better!

The villagers looked at Mo'er with gratitude and admiration. They were grateful that she taught them how to make vermicelli. They admired that Mo'er knew so much at such a young age!

When she got home, her grandmother had already prepared dinner and was waiting for her to eat. After dinner, the two girls went back to their rooms to sleep. Mo'er took her grandmother into the space. Mo'er, holding a few skewers of lamb, inspected the various supplies in the space. She felt a sense of accomplishment. This is all the empire I built!

The next day, she went to the county and collected many old items from Chen Zhihao's yard. Unexpectedly, Chen Zhihao received several very valuable antiques and left a large amount of supplies before heading to the black market. After putting on makeup, she found Brother Liu and told him that today was the last time they would trade before the Lunar New Year and that they would talk about it again after the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. Brother Liu readily agreed!

Faced with the mountain of supplies, Brother Liu was petrified again! He sighed inwardly, "You guys are really amazing. You can get so many supplies. I'm impressed!" Of course, Brother Liu was also very generous. Mo'er took away two trucks of old items, including many fine products. There was also a lot of Moutai and Wuliangye!

When I got home, I started preparing New Year's goods. Pork, chicken, beef, and mutton all had to be prepared. Fish, mantis shrimp, and crabs could be scooped up when they were eaten. Vegetables were also ready. It was freezing outside, with the north wind howling. It felt like a knife scratching your face. The temperature was as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius, which was like a natural refrigerator. Of course, Mo'er had space, and all kinds of meats could be stored there without spoiling. They could also keep them warm and fresh. Other people's meats were stored outside, and they had to be thawed when they were eaten. Mo'er saved this process. After the food was prepared, he prepared a set of outerwear and woolen sweaters for everyone, all new from the inside out. Clothes for Uncle San's family of four were also prepared!

The elderly people in the cowshed also each got a set! Of course, Zhao Yunting was definitely included! A set of the most popular Zhongshan suits of the time, which she had bought in modern society. She had more than one set, more than ten sets in various sizes. Back then, she bought clothes by the cartload.

On the twenty-fourth day of the twelfth lunar month, Mo'er took Li Jun and Xiaohu to do a thorough cleaning to clear out the filth in the house, symbolizing getting rid of the old and welcoming the new.

On the 26th day of the twelfth lunar month, people would cut up the New Year's meat. In the past, rural areas had the custom of slaughtering the New Year pig, especially in the northern regions. Every household would raise a few pigs and slaughter them on the 26th day. Of course, the meat in Xiaoli Village had been distributed a few days before!

On the 28th day of the 12th lunar month, people start decorating their houses to make them look more festive. They usually go to the market to buy spring couplets, New Year pictures, and various auspicious portraits.

Mo'er and Li Jun sat beside the old lady and learned how to cut paper-cuts. Pieces of red paper were transformed into beautiful paper-cuts of various shapes in the hands of the old lady. Mo'er said to Li Jun: I must learn this from grandma. This will be an intangible cultural heritage in the future. The traditional craft cannot be lost!

On the 29th day of the 12th lunar month, people offer sacrifices to their ancestors and gods, hoping that they can bless the whole family with peace and happiness and that their descendants will have a bright future.

Mo'er brought Li Jun and Li Xiaohu, incense, candles, paper money, and other offerings, to the foot of Dongshan Mountain, where their parents were buried. They first cleared the weeds on and around the grave, then placed the offerings. They opened a bottle of wine and poured it around the grave, lighting the incense, candles, and paper money. They chanted, "Dad and Mom, it's New Year, come home for the New Year. Bless our family with good health!" Finally, Li Xiaohu lit a string of firecrackers. After a burst of crackling, the three siblings finally descended the mountain and returned home!

On the 30th day of the twelfth lunar month, people will gather together to stay up all night and pray for a safe night. This custom has been passed down to this day and is called "guarding Tai Sui". People hope that they will be able to stay away from disasters in the new year and have good luck every year.
