The sun was setting, its afterglow casting a shadow over the village path. The air was slightly cool, carrying the scent of early autumn. Ye Wan and Xie Linchuan walked side by side along the village path. The farmland behind them had been dyed a warm golden hue by the sunset glow, and the shadows of the village's wooden houses were lengthened in the sunset. Everything around them was immersed in an atmosphere of tranquility, as if the entire world had slowed down.

During this quiet time, Ye Wan and Xie Linchuan walked with ease and leisure. Occasionally they would stop, look down at the grass at their feet, and listen to the rustling of leaves in the breeze, their hearts filled with peace and contentment.

"How are the fields today?" Ye Wan asked softly, her voice particularly gentle in this quiet environment.

Xie Linchuan looked at the outline of the distant mountains with a far-reaching gaze, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. "Everything is fine. Although there are some minor problems, they can be solved." He turned to look at Ye Wan, his eyes revealing a hint of tenderness. "Thank you for working hard with everyone every day. The progress of the farm is inseparable from your hard work."

Ye Wan looked up at Xie Linchuan, feeling strangely moved. She smiled softly and replied, "This is what I should do. Everyone's efforts are the most important. Besides, you've always led everyone in the workshop. Everyone likes you. Without you, I wouldn't be able to accomplish these things."

The two walked side by side, navigating each path in tacit understanding. As they spoke, a gentle breeze blew between them, bringing bursts of coolness. Ye Wan casually tossed her hair, her eyes softly fixed on the horizon. "We always work together, and sometimes I feel like every effort we make is for a common dream," she said with a smile.

Xie Linchuan nodded slowly, a firm look between his brows: "Yes, although things are sometimes tedious, being able to do this together and seeing everyone gradually adapt to this kind of life, my heart is filled with strength. You and everyone's efforts have given me a lot of confidence."

They walked to the small bridge at the entrance of the village. Ye Wan stopped and looked at the stream flowing slowly under the bridge. The water surface reflected the afterglow of the setting sun, like a mirror inlaid with gold, sparkling and gurgling.

"Sometimes, I wonder, if one day our village becomes bigger, what will our home look like?" Ye Wan said softly, her eyes gentle, and her tone filled with a hint of longing for the future.

Xie Linchuan also stopped, his eyes narrowed slightly, watching the afterglow gradually disappear into the distant sky. "Perhaps there will be more people, more children, and the village will be more lively. However, no matter how much it changes, I hope we can always maintain the peace and tranquility we have now."

Ye Wan turned her head and looked at Xie Linchuan's face, her eyes full of gratitude and warmth: "Yes, life doesn't have to be full of ups and downs. Ordinary happiness is the most precious. As long as I can be with you, everything is worth it."

Xie Linchuan looked at her quietly, a gentle light flashing in his eyes. He whispered, "If I could walk on this land with you and everyone else, the future would be what I look forward to most."

Their eyes met, and it was as if everything was self-evident. No fancy words were exchanged, just a simple glance, a tacit understanding that transcended words. Ye Wan's heart gradually calmed down. She had never imagined that this land and these people would bring her such a profound sense of belonging.

After crossing the small bridge, they continued forward, walking along the path beside the village, gradually sinking deeper into the night. The mountains in the distance were already shrouded in darkness, and twinkling lights shone through the houses in the village. Looking through the windows, the lights were dim and warm, and the atmosphere of life inside the houses was overwhelming.

"You know what? Sometimes, I really feel like a guardian." Ye Wan said softly, her tone a little low, yet with a hint of determination, "I don't want anyone to get hurt, and I don't want any fields to be wasted because of our mistakes."

Xie Linchuan was touched when he heard this. He gently held Ye Wan's hand and said warmly, "You've done a great job. You are the pillar of support in all of our hearts. No matter how difficult it is, you always lead us forward."

Ye Wan was slightly stunned, then turned her head to look at him with a touch of emotion in her eyes: "You always say that, but I know that this responsibility cannot be borne by me alone. Everyone's support is the most important thing."

Xie Linchuan smiled and said, "You don't realize that you are actually a very strong pillar. You give everyone confidence and courage." He paused and added in a low voice, "I don't think of myself as just a casual person. You are someone I have always trusted."

They stood under a small tree by the roadside, surrounded by the gentle night breeze and the soft rustling of leaves. The night sky was deep and dotted with stars. Ye Wan's heart seemed to be gently enveloped by this gentle night. She looked into Xie Linchuan's eyes and suddenly felt shy: "Since when did you start to think that I was someone you could rely on?"

Xie Linchuan smiled lightly, with a hint of cunning: "You have never given up on me from the beginning. I know you don't give up easily, whether it's on yourself or us."

Ye Wan's heartbeat quickened. She looked deeply into his eyes, her gentle smile tinged with shyness. "What about you? Since when did you start to feel that I was so important?"

Xie Linchuan was silent for a moment, looking up at the starry sky, his smile gradually softening. "From the moment you appeared in my life, everything no longer seemed so hopeless." He finished speaking and gently held her hand. "You are not only my partner, but also the most important person in my life."
