"Dark Wizard?" I was startled. I had seen this name before in the original novel. He was a notorious evil wizard, known for his cruelty and bloodthirstiness. I didn't expect Wei Qing to find him!

A chill ran from my feet to my head, and I subconsciously tightened my grip on Hao Yang's hand. He sensed my nervousness, held my hand in his, and gave me a reassuring look.

Wei Qing raised her chin triumphantly, as if she had won. "Wei Yao, you didn't expect this, did you? Do you think you're safe hiding here? Today is the day you die!"

Hao Shuang and Wei Xue also looked at me with a gloating expression, their eyes full of hatred and jealousy.

The dark wizard took a step forward, his cold gaze sweeping over Hao Yang and me before finally resting on my face. "Are you Wei Yao?" His voice was hoarse and low, like a whisper from hell.

I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "It's me."

"Hmph!" The dark wizard sneered, "The aura on you is very special..." He narrowed his eyes, a trace of greed flashing in his eyes, "It seems that you have many secrets..."

My heart sank. He knew that I was a time traveler?

Before I could think about it, the black wizard suddenly made a move! He raised his skinny hand, muttered something, and a black energy gushed out from his hand, heading straight for Hao Yang!

"Hao Yang!" I exclaimed and wanted to push him away, but it was too late.

The black energy instantly enveloped Hao Yang. He groaned, his body trembled violently, and his face instantly turned pale as paper.

"Hao Yang!" I rushed to his side and called his name anxiously.

He opened his eyes weakly, looked at me, and moved his lips, but no sound came out.

I felt his body getting colder and colder, and his vitality was fading quickly!

"You...what did you do to him?!" I glared at the dark wizard angrily, with fire almost spitting out of my eyes.

The dark wizard smiled sinisterly: "I just taught him a little lesson. Now, it's your turn..."

He raised his hand again, and the black energy surged again. This time, the target was me!

My heart is filled with fear, but I can't retreat! I must protect Hao Yang!

I mobilized all the spiritual power in my body and used the magic weapon.

"Go!" I shouted, and the magic weapon turned into a golden light and shot towards the black wizard.

However, the dark wizard simply waved his hand lightly, and the golden light was easily dispelled by him.

"A mere trifle!" He sneered, and with a backhand wave, an even more powerful black energy attacked me!

I felt a powerful force knock me away and I fell heavily to the ground...

Darkness enveloped me, and Wei Qing's shrill laughter reached my ears...

Then, I heard a voice, deep and cold, as if it came from the depths of hell... "Your power... is mine..." The dark wizard's taunts were like poisonous needles, piercing my eardrums and, moreover, my heart. Hao Yang's painful gasps were right beside my ears, but I was powerless, only to watch him tortured by the power of darkness. I struggled to stand, but the dark power was like a cancer in my bones, tightly holding me, preventing me from moving.

"Puff..." A mouthful of blood gushed out of my mouth, staining the ground in front of me red. I felt my strength rapidly draining away, and my body growing weaker and weaker. Could it be that Hao Yang and I were really going to die here today?

"Haha, you're overestimating yourself!" Wei Qing's sharp laughter echoed in my ears. "You think you can fight the Dark Wizard? You're really tired of living!"

Hao Shuang and Wei Xue also walked up to me proudly. They looked down at me with mockery and contempt in their eyes.

"Sister, you'd better surrender yourself." Wei Xue said hypocritically, "Don't worry, after you die, I will take good care of Brother Hao Yang."

"It's useless, you're finished!" The dark wizard's voice was like a death knell from hell, announcing my fate, "Now, I will take away everything from you, including your life!"

He approached me step by step, and each step seemed to step on my heart, making me feel suffocated. I closed my eyes in despair, waiting for death to come...

A familiar voice suddenly rang out, and I snapped my eyes open. Elder Wei had appeared before us without me noticing. His hair and beard were unfurling, and in his hand he held a longsword radiating golden light, like a deity descended from heaven.

"Elder Wei!" I shouted in surprise, as if I had grabbed the last straw.

Elder Wei's eyes were as sharp as a torch as he scanned the crowd, finally landing on the dark wizard. "How dare you act so recklessly on my territory!"

The dark wizard snorted disdainfully, "Who the hell are you, old man? Get out of here if you know what's good for you, or don't blame me for being rude!"

"Hmph, arrogant brat!" Elder Wei shouted angrily, swung his sword, and a golden light flew straight towards the black wizard. The black wizard did not dare to neglect and quickly waved his staff to resist.

With a loud bang, the golden light and the black mist collided with each other, erupting into a powerful energy wave that shook the surrounding trees.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Elder Wei quickly came to Hao Yang and me and untied us. I quickly helped Hao Yang up and asked anxiously, "How are you?"

Hao Yang's face was pale and his breath was weak. He forced a smile and said, "I'm fine, don't worry."

"Elder Wei, thank you." I looked at Elder Wei gratefully. If he hadn't appeared in time, Hao Yang and I would probably have died long ago.

Wei Qing, Hao Shuang and Wei Xue smiled triumphantly when they saw that the dark wizard had gained the upper hand again.

"Wei Yao, do you think you can escape? Today is the day you die!" Wei Qing said viciously.

Hao Shuang also echoed: "That's right, just wait for your death!"

Wei Xue smiled sinisterly, "Sister, don't worry, I will take good care of Brother Hao Yang."

Their words hissed in my ears like venomous snakes, making me feel sick. I clenched my fists tightly, my nails digging deep into my flesh, my heart filled with anger and resentment.

At this moment, the dark wizard finished chanting the spell, and the staff in his hand burst out with dazzling black light, and a powerful dark force swept towards us like a wave.

Elder Wei's face changed drastically, and he shouted, "Not good, get out of the way!"

However, it was too late. The dark force instantly engulfed us. I felt a black screen before my eyes and lost consciousness...

When I woke up again, I found myself lying in an unfamiliar cave. Hao Yang and Elder Wei were gone, and I was lying here alone.
