Legend of Mir 2: Seeking the Truth in Marfa

Chapter 64 Rainbow Scorpion Guard

The two entered the Nether Corridor. The entrance was well-placed, with only three monsters surrounding them. However, their eyes were fixed on a vicious venomous snake not far away.

There's a Vicious Viper here? This boss is even higher-level than the White Boar. Previously, on the 7th floor of the Stone Tomb, it only spawned once every four hours. It's a relatively rare boss, and its drops are quite good.

Their position was perfectly safe. Bayin laid down a wall of fire to burn the monsters, while Brook used poison and soulfire to kill the viper. Once the monsters were incinerated by the wall of fire, Bayin used lightning to attack the viper, quickly killing it and causing a massive explosion.

1 copy of "Ice Roar," a level 35 mage skill book. 1 bottle of blessed oil. And 1 piece of top-grade War God armor, which adds 2 points of defense. Perfect for Xiaobai.

The two continued to clear the monsters. They started by roasting a pig in a corner. Once it was almost done, they used collective invisibility to slowly move forward. After more than 40 minutes, they finally reached the exit of the Nether Corridor.

This exit was different from the previous ones. Previously, there was a small door, but this time, it was a large wooden door. The door was stained with blood, making it look quite creepy. Hanging from the door frame was a massive skull, the head of some unknown creature. Around the door were rows of thick, sharp bones, making their scalps tingle.

Entering from here is the Zongheng Road, which is considered to be the deepest part of the Demon Sealing Cave. This gate is equivalent to the inner courtyard gate of the Rainbow Demon Sect Leader.

As a religious leader, the Woma Temple is much more elegant. Even dung beetles are not allowed to enter the hall of the Woma Temple, let alone such a horrific head decoration.

This shows the cruelty of the Rainbow Demon Leader.

We must not allow its leader to descend. We must repair the Kuilong seal as soon as possible.

Brooke looked serious and slowly opened the wooden door.

The two entered the Zonghengdao. There were no monsters at the entrance.

The map of this Path of Paths alternated between horizontal and vertical paths, twisting and turning. The path wasn't wide, but it was incredibly long. If they were to run, it would probably take them an hour. Fortunately, this map allowed for random teleportation. Like the Thunder Road, the Path of Paths also had four exits. Three of them led to connecting passages, and only the topmost path led to the next level of the Demon Soul Palace.

Brook used the teleportation ring and tried several times to fly to the center of the vertical and horizontal path. This place was not far from the Demon Soul Palace, and it would take no more than 10 minutes to run.

Their target was the Rainbow Scorpion Guard. While there was a Rainbow Scorpion Guard on the Crossroads Path, the route was too long, and there was no telling where it would spawn. Therefore, Brook decided to head directly to the next level, the Demon Soul Hall, where it would be easier to find the target.

Brook observed the surroundings, confirmed that it was safe and in the correct location, then used his memory kit to pull Bayin over, then ran forward, aiming for the path on the upper right.

There weren't many monsters on the road. The two men passed one monster after another and came to the end of the road. They turned left and soon saw the exit in front of them.

Unfortunately, they hadn't encountered any Rainbow Scorpion Guards along the way. The Longitudinal and Horizontal Path was too vast, and even if they searched separately, it might take them half an hour to find the Rainbow Scorpion Guards.

There is only half an hour left until the bet ends.

Brook was the first to enter the Demon Soul Hall. He appeared at the entrance again, then made himself invisible. A wedge moth happened to be nearby, and upon noticing Brook, it immediately attacked him with saliva. His invisibility wore off, and another wild boar and a scorpion snake also pounced on Brook. The densely packed demonic beasts outside all became restless, circling the entrance.

Brooke took his medicine while attacking the wedge moths beside him. With only three monsters able to attack him, he felt less pressured. His attention wasn't on the small monsters beside him, but on a large, dark green monster not far away that resembled a scorpion and a lobster.

Rainbow Scorpion Guard: HP 2000, Attack 45-65, Defense 25, Magic Defense 25.

The wedge moth was about to be killed, but suddenly its luck kicked in, and it used its abdomen to spray saliva with force, directly turning Brook into stone.

Brook was wearing a full set of magic defense equipment, but he still got hit. His current defense was only 5-16, and he was surrounded by the black boar and scorpion snakes beside him. Together, they could knock off more than 30 points of his health each time, which was quite painful.

For a full five seconds, you can't take medicine, use skills, or even speak. While not life-threatening, it's still quite dangerous. If you're petrified again, it'll be terrible.

Brooke thought and ordered Xiaobai to come in to help. With a whoosh, Xiaobai landed in a corner in the distance.

Xiaobai didn't come from the door. He was originally resting, and when Brook ordered him to attack, he tried to teleport to Brook's side. However, surrounded by monsters, he landed on an empty spot in the corner.

Xiaobai was immediately surrounded by monsters and couldn't get out for a while. Unless Brook used Summon Skeleton to forcibly summon it to the side. But Brook was petrified and couldn't use any skills.

"Brook?" Bayin, who was in Zonghengdao, saw that Xiaobai was missing and immediately asked in the team.

Brooke was petrified and unable to speak.

The team was still there, but there was no response. Bayin immediately realized that Brook was in danger and walked in without hesitation.

Bayin glanced around and saw the situation clearly. He immediately unleashed a level 30 group skill, Hell Lightning. The surrounding monsters were numbed by the shock and paused for a moment. The black boar and scorpion snake also slowed their attack on Brook.

But the Wedge Moth didn't seem to be afraid of the Hell Lightning and continued to attack Brook with saliva.

Bayin unleashed another group attack skill, Exploding Flame. She wasn't aiming to kill the surrounding monsters, but rather to quickly divert their aggro towards herself, thereby minimizing Brook's damage. Unexpectedly, the wedge moth, with only a sliver of health left, was incinerated by the Exploding Flame.

A black evil maggot squeezed up from the side and filled the vacancy left by the wedge moth.

The three nearby demonic beasts were indeed drawn to Bayin, turning their attention to him. Bayin held his ground with his magic shield. As long as he wasn't petrified or had a wedge moth, he could easily withstand three demonic beasts in a short period of time.

The petrified state ended, and Brook recovered, immediately using a collective invisibility spell. He actually only lost more than 100 HP, less than half of his health.

"Look, the Rainbow Scorpion Guard." Brook first cast a healing spell on Bayin, then cast one on himself, and then drank a bottle of high-level golden wound medicine.

"Yeah. Burning?"

"burn."

Bayin began to release a wall of fire around him, while Brook attacked the Rainbow Scorpion Guard.

The raging fire quickly obliterated all the surrounding monsters. Aside from the three demonic beasts surrounding Bayinbuluke, only the Rainbow Scorpion Guard remained. Its magic defense was high, and the fire wall inflicted only a pitiful single-digit damage. It hissed and paced anxiously within the fire wall, unable to reach the two men.

At that moment, the Rainbow Scorpion Guard spotted Xiaobai in the corner and, abandoning the two at the door, charged directly at him. Brook didn't use his collective invisibility spell on Xiaobai, but instead let him charge forward. He wanted to see how the Rainbow Scorpion Guard attacked.

The Rainbow Scorpion Guard raised a pair of crab claws and emitted a strong blue light at Xiaobai, magnetic~magnetic~, which shocked Xiaobai so much that he fell back repeatedly, and his blood and energy were drained away rapidly.

This guy actually used lightning magic to attack, and it was blue lightning. It looked very powerful, but it was a melee attack.

Each blow from the Scorpion Guard could knock over 50 HP off Xiaobai, and Xiaobai couldn't hold out for much longer. Brook ordered Xiaobai to rest and gave it a collective invisibility spell. The Rainbow Demon Scorpion Guard's hatred was once again drawn to Bayin and the others, and it twisted its body back to the door.

It seems that this is just an ordinary leader monster. It is not very intelligent, cannot counter invisibility, cannot attack from a distance, and poses no threat.

The Rainbow Scorpion Guard was killed without any suspense. A Bone Jade Scepter and an Iris Ring were unexpectedly dropped.

Bone Jade Scepter: Magic 2-6, Requires Level 35

Rainbow Demon Ring: Attack 0-4, Required Level 33

Bayin picked up the Bone Jade Scepter and felt it was just average, not as good as her top-grade wand 2-8. She'd put it aside for now.

Brooke picked up the Rainbow Demon Ring. It seemed to be part of a set with the Rainbow Demon Bracelet in his backpack, but he didn't know what special effects it had. They were only level 31, so they couldn't wear it yet.

Putting away the Rainbow Demon Ring, Brook cut off the tail scales of the Rainbow Demon Scorpion Guard.

The goal had been achieved, so the two did not linger any longer and flew directly back to the Demon Sealing City.
