Three Women in the Cage

Chapter 41 Elopement

After Yang's father arranged the marriage, he still did not allow Yang Su to leave the bedroom, waiting for the wedding date to be set.

Several days had passed and she hadn't seen her brother Chi, so she couldn't help feeling a little overwhelmed.

"Aunt, I saw that handsome big brother," Huanhuan suddenly ran in that day and whispered to Yang Su.

"Where is it? Has it been discovered by others?" Yang Su became excited.

Huanhuan shook her head, then opened her hands, revealing a note.

Yang Su immediately took it and opened it, "I'll wait for you at the old place at 8 o'clock in the evening. I will always be here waiting for you."

Yang Su held the note in his hand, feeling excited. But then he realized that he was ordered not to go out. He turned to look at Yang Yu helplessly.

"Sister, what should I do? I want to go out and see him and explain things to him."

Yang Yu frowned and glanced at his panicked younger sister, "How are you going to explain to him? Explain that you are not engaged?" Yang Yu obviously couldn't understand.

Yang Su panicked. "You know, I didn't get engaged willingly. Dad forced it on me. Big sister, I really need to see him now. Can you help me one more time?"

Yang Yu thought for a moment and said, "I can help you, but you have to promise me that once we meet and talk it over, you will come back quickly. You can't delay and you can't stay out all night. I'll give you one hour, and you must come back before nine o'clock." Yang Yu said without giving way to refusal.

Yang Su was a little embarrassed, but after thinking about it, she felt that she would be satisfied if she could see Brother Chi now, so she agreed, "Okay, I will be back before nine o'clock, thank you, elder sister."

After dinner, Yang Yu asked Huanhuan to keep her grandparents company so that they would not have time to take care of Yang Su, and let Huanhuan sleep there at night.

Then Yang Yu turned up the volume of the radio in the bedroom to the highest, so that her parents would think that she and her younger sister were listening to the radio, and she locked the door from the inside.

Under Yang Yu's cover, Yang Su took the opportunity to slip out and came to the place where he had agreed to meet the boy. Seeing Chi Mu waiting there, he ran over and excitedly shouted, "Brother Chi!"

The boy turned around and saw the girl running in front of him. He hugged her in his arms because of missing her, "You are here, I finally see you again, I missed you so much, Susu."

"I'm sorry for making you worry. My parents caught me when I went home that day. They wouldn't let me go out and even arranged a marriage for me. Brother Chi, we're already engaged now, what should we do?" Yang Su raised her head from the boy's arms and looked at him with tears in her eyes.

When the boy heard that the girl was engaged, he panicked and hugged her tightly, saying in a trembling voice, "Susu, you can't get engaged. You can't leave me. You are mine. You said you would always be with me."

Yang Su was held so tightly that she couldn't breathe. She struggled to push the boy away and said, "Brother Chi, calm down. If I didn't want to be with you, I wouldn't have sneaked out to see you today," Yang Su said breathlessly.

The boy immediately stepped forward to help her breathe, while bowing his head to apologize, "I'm sorry, Susu, I shouldn't have hugged you so tightly, making it difficult for you to breathe. It's all my fault. I was just too afraid that you would leave me."

Yang Su didn't expect that such an unruly man would be afraid that she would not want him. All along, she was the one who was worried that the boy would not want her. It turned out that they both liked each other so much.

After they calmed down, they hugged each other and sat on the stone pier. After a long silence, Yang Su had to speak, "Brother Chi, I came out today because my eldest sister covered for me. I promised her that I would go back in an hour. I came out today just to tell you that I didn't get engaged voluntarily, and I will not be with anyone else."

The boy felt that the girl was about to leave and became anxious, "Susu, you can't go back. If you go back, your parents will lock you up and then they will marry you off soon. Maybe they have already set the date for the wedding. You can't go back at this time."

"But if I don't go back and my parents find out, they will beat me to death, Brother Chi, I'm scared, and I promised my elder sister that I would go back," Yang Su frowned in embarrassment.

"Come to my house, your parents won't find you. Think about it, if you go back you can't be with me. If you go back with me, no one can stop us from being together in the future. Susu, you have to think about it carefully," the boy said seductively.

Yes, it would be difficult to come out again if she went back. She would have to follow her parents' wishes and marry someone she didn't like. Yang Su thought about it and realized that even if that person treated her well, she wouldn't be happy. Instead of being unhappy later, it was better to enjoy the happiness now. So she made up her mind and agreed to the boy's request.

The boy happily hugged the girl and then took her hand and walked home.

Yang Yu was still anxiously waiting for her younger sister to come back. The radio in the room was still playing Focus Interview. Yang Yu didn't hear anything and kept listening to the noise at the door. She was waiting for the sound of her younger sister knocking on the bedroom door. This was the second time. Yang Yu didn't want her younger sister to lie to her again. She felt insecure and waited in panic.

Yaya in her arms was already fast asleep, her body had not yet fully recovered. Looking at the clock on the wall, it was already twelve o'clock, and the time they had agreed on had passed. Yang Yu no longer cared about lying in bed. She got out of bed, stood at the window, looking at the pitch-black night outside, hoping that her little sister's figure would come out of the darkness.

However, she didn't know how long she stood there, so long that her legs had lost feeling, but she was oblivious and continued to wait stubbornly. But in the end, she still didn't wait for her little sister to return. Only then did she realize that her little sister had deceived her again.

An indescribable sadness washed over her, not because of her younger sister's deception, but because she was so desperate for that boy. She had disregarded her reputation, her parents' disapproval, and the fact that she was already engaged, and resolutely ran towards him. Seeing her younger sister so easily handing over her future to someone else, she was filled with unspoken sadness and worry.

Since she has made her choice, she will have to bear all the ups and downs in the future by herself.

Yang Yu turned around, turned off the radio, opened the quilt, lay down, and began to meditate with his eyes closed.

The next day, Yang's father and mother discovered that the younger sister had not returned home all night. They blamed Yang Yu, the eldest sister, for not persuading the younger sister properly and for following her in making trouble. However, considering that she was still in confinement after childbirth, they were reluctant to blame her any more and just said a few words before stopping.
