The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm
Chapter 60 Space Rift Adventure (1)
Space Rift Adventure (I)
Like a group of fearless interstellar explorers, Carl and his teammates, having weathered countless hardships and dangers, finally arrived at this mysterious realm suspected of harboring a dimensional rift. It felt like a forbidden, enchanted region of the universe, space like a soft dough, kneaded and twisted by an invisible, playful hand, transforming it into a dizzying and bizarre form. The surrounding landscape resembled a painting shrouded in mist, every contour appearing and disappearing in this dreamlike spatial fluctuation, as if playing a game of hide-and-seek with intruders, or like a shy girl veiled behind a hazy veil, revealing only the occasional blur of lines, tempting us to peek inside its secrets.
"Wow, this place is like a painting scribbled by a drunk abstract artist with a mop. I even wonder if there's something wrong with my eyes. I can't see anything clearly!" Tom's eyes widened, almost popping out of their sockets. He blinked hard, trying to make out something in this chaos, but he looked like a little hamster lost in a maze. "I feel like my eyes can't keep up with the rhythm of this space. It's like it's doing a crazy, endless dance, twisting here, then there. It makes me dizzy."
"Don't be distracted, Tom. There are dangers everywhere here that can eat us alive. If you continue to be so unreliable, be careful that this space crack will treat you as an appetizer." Lucy glared at Tom unhappily. Her eyes, which were originally as gentle as autumn water, were now like the brightest cold stars in the night sky, sharp enough to penetrate the thick fog. She held the wand tightly in her hand, as if holding the last ray of hope. Every pore of her seemed to exude an aura of vigilance.
"Lucy's right. Everyone, keep your nerves on edge, like a fully drawn bowstring. One misstep and we're all doomed," Carl whispered. His steady voice weighed like a heavy ballast in this eerie space, bringing a sense of reassurance to his teammates. He walked at the front of the group, taking each step with extreme caution, as if he weren't treading on solid ground, but a bottomless abyss filled with deadly traps, like walking on thin ice. One misstep would send him plummeting into endless darkness. He was like a fawn foraging in an ancient jungle riddled with thorns and traps, cautiously exploring the path ahead.
However, they had barely moved forward when, suddenly, a suction force as powerful as a cosmic black hole swept in from the front like a surging tide. Like a hungry, insatiable prehistoric beast, it opened its bloody maw, capable of devouring the heavens and earth, mercilessly sweeping everything around it into its endless, dark abyss. The force was so violent that the air around them shredded, producing a sharp whistling sound, as if composing a dirge for impending destruction.
"Ah, what the hell is this? I feel like I'm being sucked away, like a light feather!" Jerry's eyes widened in horror. His body leaned forward uncontrollably, his feet leaving two deep, plowed grooves in the ground, as if an invisible hand was pulling him tightly, dragging him into a place of no return. His hair flew backwards under the suction, like a black flag fluttering in the wind.
"It's the spatial cracks that are sporadically absorbing the surrounding objects. Everyone, hold steady!" Carl shouted, his voice audible over the whistling wind and the powerful suction, like a battle horn. Before he finished speaking, he swiftly waved his wand and muttered an ancient and mysterious spell. In an instant, a golden light as dazzling as the sun burst from the tip of his wand. Like a warm and resilient golden shield, like a mother's gentle and strong embrace, it enveloped his teammates tightly, stubbornly resisting the demonic suction.
"Hey, it feels like we're being targeted by a giant cosmic vacuum cleaner. We can't become its garbage!" Tom struggled mightily to keep his composure, yet at the same time, he tried to crack a joke, using humor to ease the tense, almost frozen atmosphere. His face flushed red from the exertion, like a ripe tomato, veins bulging on his forehead. His expression was comical yet also tragic. "I feel like a warrior tug-of-war with a tornado, but this one's a little too strong!"
"Tom, stop talking nonsense and focus your magic to steady yourself. If you get sucked away, no one will save you, you idiot!" Lucy shouted, beads of sweat already forming on her fair forehead. These beads of sweat, illuminated by the strange light of this space, shimmered with a myriad of colors, like dazzling gems inlaid on her smooth skin. She waved her wand faster, like a female general commanding a battle. The magic power gushing from the tip of her wand was like a well-trained soldier, continuously injecting more power into Carl's magic, attempting to strengthen the stability of this defensive spell, like adding bricks to a crumbling city wall.
"I'm trying my best, Lucy. Do I look like a brave and fearless knight, fighting this evil suction demon for three hundred rounds? I won't be defeated easily!" Although Tom was still joking, his hands did not slacken at all. His magic power was like a rushing river, pouring out of his body, blending with the magic power of his teammates, gathering into a more powerful force, forming a rock-solid line of defense, like a lighthouse standing in the stormy sea, stubbornly holding on in this chaotic space.
In this breathtakingly tense moment, the tacit understanding between the teammates reached its peak, like an intricate machine. Carl sensed the fiery intensity of his teammates' efforts, and his gaze grew even more resolute, like a burning star. He chanted a more complex incantation, a mystical, ancient hymn, each syllable imbued with the mysteries of the universe. As the incantation cascaded, the golden light grew ever more dazzling, like ten suns descending simultaneously upon this chaotic space. The radiant light seemed to dispel the endless darkness and distortion. The powerful suction force seemed intimidated by the light, and though it continued to pull like a mad dog, it could no longer drag them forward, like a chained wolf, howling in vain.
"Everyone hold on, we can't be defeated by this space crack. We are here to save the world, and we still have to find the last material! That is the light of hope for us to break through the barriers of the world, and we can't fall here!" Carl encouraged. His voice echoed in this space that was twisted like a pretzel, with an unquestionable power, like a lighthouse that never goes out in the darkness, guiding the direction for his teammates, allowing them to maintain hope and courage in the face of this suction that is as dangerous as the abyss of hell, as if they had grabbed the last straw in the stormy waves.
Inspired by Carl, his teammates, like a shot of chicken blood, strengthened their resolve. They glanced at each other, seeing in each other's eyes a thirst for victory and a mutual trust. That look, like a sharp arrow that could pierce time and space, carried warmth and strength through this chaotic space. They were like a group of closely connected gears, operating in an orderly fashion in this life-or-death struggle against the suction of the spatial rift. Each gear played its indispensable role, collectively resisting this terrifying threat from an unknown world, like a Great Wall of Steel forged by faith and friendship.
"We can do it. This little suction is nothing. We are superheroes who have defeated the Lord of Fire! Just like the song goes, 'We are the cockroaches that can't be killed!'" Jerry shouted loudly, his eyes burning with a flame of fighting spirit as hot as the sun. The flame seemed to burn away all the distortions in the surrounding space and restore everything to normal. His voice echoed in this empty space, like the sound of a victory drum.
With everyone's concerted efforts, they finally managed to stabilize themselves and successfully resist the sudden suction attack from the dimensional rift. But they knew this was merely the prelude to this thrilling adventure. Ahead lay even more treacherous challenges, filled with unknowns and dangers, like towering peaks. They must summon the courage of a lion or tiger and continue on, heading deeper into the dimensional rift. For within the endless darkness lay their last hope of breaking through the barriers of the world—the final ingredient, the Holy Grail in their hearts, the ultimate goal they would pursue at all costs.
"Alright, everyone, take a break and recharge your magic, just like reloading our magical weapons. Get ready! We'll continue our advance, charging deep into that mysterious dimensional rift," Carl said. His gaze, like a sharp arrow piercing the fog, gazed into the still-twisting, shimmering depths of the dimensional rift, like a sleeping beast. His heart was filled with awe for the unknown and a dedication to his goal. His eyes were like a devout believer looking upon his sacred place. His teammates nodded in agreement, knowing that this brief respite was like a peaceful harbor amidst a storm. Once they set sail again, even more turbulent adventures awaited them.
