The winter vacation is neither long nor short.

After frequent visits to relatives and excessive eating, the holiday is coming to an end.

That afternoon, Xia Qing's mother helped Xia Qing pack her luggage while muttering to herself.

"The clothes are in this bag. These two cans contain pickles and fried meat sauce made by Mom. Your socks are in this bag. I put them in the box. The skin care products are here..."

Xia Qing suffers from insufficient vacation balance syndrome and feels sad when she thinks about leaving home to study in another city.

I couldn't muster up the energy and forgot everything my mother told me.

Suddenly, two messages came in on the phone, from my roommates Zhao Linlin and Jiang Shao.

During this holiday, apart from Jiang Shao, Xia Qing contacted Zhao Linlin frequently. They both returned to school on the same day, but Linlin arrived in the afternoon, so Xia Qing estimated that it would be evening.

Jiang Shao habitually sent her messages every day. Xia Qing replied to Linlin's message, and then looked at Jiang Shao's message. He had sent several messages in a row.

"Baby, the morning train arrives at Beijing Station at noon? And then goes to Beijing West Station?"

"Are you still going to play in Beijing? Or are you going to transfer at Beijing West Railway Station as soon as you get there?"

Xia Qing simply told Jiang Shao the departure and arrival times of the two journeys, and didn't ask whether he wanted to play or not, because she thought Jiang Shao was just making conversation and asked casually.

Because Xia Qing knew that Jiang Shao took the morning bus and would be at school in two hours, arriving before noon.

I guess he wanted to pick her up and confirm the arrival time at City B Railway Station.

Xia Qing's mother saw that Xia Qing didn't respond after she talked for a long time, and then she looked at her daughter playing with her mobile phone.

She shook her head, packed her luggage and put it aside while she went to cook.

Xia Qing watched her mother cook. Why was she thinking about what else she hadn't taken? She quickly checked. She had to get up early tomorrow, and it would be too late to clean up tomorrow.

The hot pot made by my mother is one of the favorite dishes of the whole family.

After a hearty meal, Xia Qing's mother asked her to pack up the things she would take with her tomorrow. "Please take important things like your cell phone, battery, charger, and ID card!"

"Well, everything is ready, don't worry." Every time before school starts, her mother is more anxious than she is when she goes to school.

I tossed and turned all night and never slept well the night before returning to school.

In the morning, the alarm clock rang on time.

She immediately got up, washed, had a simple breakfast made by her mother, and then followed her father to the road at the entrance of the village to wait for the bus to the city.

Even the buses in the village are crowded.

After arriving at the county town and getting off the bus, the father and daughter took a small three-wheeled motorcycle to the train station.

Arriving at the train station, I checked my ticket and waited for the train to arrive.

Because the train had not arrived yet, they were waiting in the square. While waiting, her father went to the small supermarket next to the train station and bought her some snacks and drinks for her to eat on the way.

In fact, she had already packed a lot of snacks in her backpack, including food and drinks, and it was a very heavy bag.

But her father still bought it for her, and she didn't refuse, but she felt like crying...

Seeing that it was time to enter the station and the train was about to arrive, she hugged her father tightly.

Dad laughed and joked, "You're already this old, but you're still acting like a child."

"Your daughter is still a child now." He said with a sad and nasal voice, "Dad, you should go back. I have to go to the station. The train will be here soon."

"Okay, then go in. Dad will go back after seeing you go in. The bus leaves at noon, so there's no rush."

Xia Qing went through security and entered the station. After getting her things, she turned around and waved goodbye to her father through the glass in an empty place nearby.

The train is coming!

When Xia Qing went inside, he couldn't see his father anymore, but he knew that his father was still outside.

I lowered my head and silently pulled my luggage, but I still couldn't help but shed a few tears.

He cursed himself for being useless and quickly wiped it off.

After getting on the train, I watched the scenery outside the window slowly recede into the distance. The train started moving, and I finally left home again.
