Legacy: Miracle

Deep within the vast Cuiyun Mountains lies a small mountain village called Yunyin. It is picturesque year-round: in spring, flowers bloom in profusion; in summer, greenery shades the sun; in autumn, maple leaves blaze; and in winter, snow blankets the air. Yet, its secluded location makes it little known. It is in this tranquil and lonely land that Yunyi, a young boy of only sixteen, grows silently, like a weed in the mountains.

Having lost both his parents at a young age, Yun Yi's memories are filled with only vague memories of them and the warm care of the villagers. He became the village's only orphan, without siblings or close relatives, relying on the villagers' support and his own hard work to eke out a living. Despite this, he never complained, always treating everyone who helped him with gratitude.

On a spring morning, sunlight filtered through sparse clouds, dappling the winding mountain road, casting a golden veil over this path into the unknown. Yun Yi, carrying a bamboo basket on his back and a sickle in hand, set out into the mountains to forage for food. His steps were steady, each one firm and resolute, as if to tell the world that he, Yun Yi, was a man who would not give up easily. His eyes revealed a perseverance and composure beyond his years, a dedication to life and an expectation for the future.

The clear, melodious chirping of birds in the forest was like the music of nature, cheering the lone, courageous young man on. A gentle breeze, carrying the freshness and fragrance of the forest, caressed Yun Yi's face, allowing him to feel nature's tenderness and care. He took a deep breath of the fresh air, his heart filled with love and awe for the forest.

Deep in the forest, Yun Yi's steps suddenly stopped. A faint, strange cry shattered the surrounding silence. The sound seemed to carry a mixture of pain and helplessness, filling Yun Yi with a strange sense of worry. He followed the sound, passing through a dense forest. The scenery suddenly opened up. In a wide open space, a slender crane with colorful feathers crouched beside a boulder. A horrifying wound pierced its wing, and the blood stained the surrounding grass red, making it particularly glaring.

Yun Yi's heart tightened. He quickly stepped forward, crouched down, and carefully examined the crane's injuries. He gently stroked the crane's feathers, which were soft and smooth, as if comforting a wounded friend. His movements were gentle and skillful. He took the herbs and cloth strips he had brought with him from the bamboo basket and began to bandage the crane's wound. His eyes were filled with tenderness and care, as if he were treating a precious work of art.

"Don't be afraid, I will heal you." Yun Yi whispered softly, his voice gentle but firm, as if he was making a promise to Ling He and also comforting himself.

The crane seemed to sense Yun Yi's kindness and concern. It raised its head slightly and gazed at him with its clear, watery eyes. A glint of gratitude gleamed in its eyes, as if to say, "Thank you, kind young man." Suddenly, the crane spoke, its voice clear and melodious, like a mountain spring, refreshing and soothing. "Thank you, kind young man. I am an envoy of the crane tribe, and I was injured after accidentally falling into a hunter's trap. You saved me, and I am willing to tell you a secret in return."

Yun Yi was surprised and even more curious when he heard this. He quietly waited for Linghe's next words. He watched as Linghe slowly spread its uninjured wings. Those wings were broad and powerful, as if they could soar across thousands of mountains and rivers. It pointed to the depths of the forest, where clouds and mist shrouded it, seemingly hiding endless secrets. "In that forgotten valley, hidden are the relics of the gods. There, ancient wisdom and power are hidden, a sacred place coveted by countless cultivators. If you can find it, perhaps you can change your destiny."

Yun Yi's heartbeat quickened. The ruins of the gods? That was the place he had always dreamed of. He had heard legends about the ruins of the gods from the village elders since he was a child. It was a place filled with mystery and miracles, said to hold ancient wisdom and power that could transform a person and bring their dreams to fruition. He looked at Ling He, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I'm willing to give it a try. No matter the outcome, I won't regret it." His voice was firm and powerful, as if to express his resolve to Ling He and to encourage himself.

The crane looked at Yun Yi's determined eyes and couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration in its heart. It nodded and said in its clear and pleasant voice, "Okay, I believe you. I'll be here waiting for you to come back. I wish you good luck!" Its voice was full of encouragement and expectation, as if it was cheering Yun Yi on.

Yun Yi glanced at Ling He with gratitude, then stood up, took a deep breath, and prepared to embark on his journey to find the divine relics. He knew it would be a road filled with unknowns and dangers, but he also understood that only by bravely pursuing his dreams could he change his destiny. He glanced at the distant valley, his heart filled with anticipation and longing, and then he took a firm step forward.

The Linghe quietly watched Yun Yi's back, its eyes gleaming with blessing and hope. It knew this brave young man would face countless challenges and difficulties, but it also believed he would overcome them all, find the divine relics, and realize his dream. So, it silently prayed, wishing this brave young man a safe journey.
