"Green Shadow said in a low voice."

As Elwin attacked, he strode forward, the light from his staff illuminating Akalitha's arm.

Sure enough, the skin around the bitten area lost its normal color, turning a grayish-brown similar to sand, and this discoloration was spreading outwards at a visible rate.

"I feel... a little cold,"

Akalitasa gritted her teeth as sweat dripped from her forehead.

Elwin cursed. He knew that the little red dragon was fine even in the frigid Winterspring wearing only a single layer of clothing, but now it was feeling cold. This corpse poison was too domineering!

"It is indeed poison. Green Shadow, can you remove it?"

Green Shadow quickly took out a small bottle of medicine from her waist pouch.

"This toxicity is too potent, and my antidote spell might not work. Luckily, I picked some earthroot and moon mushrooms along the way. These are extracts that can slow down most undead toxins. I don't know if they will be effective in this situation."

She poured the pale blue liquid onto the wound; the medicine hissed and emitted a wisp of smoke as it came into contact with the grayish-brown skin.

Green Shadow brought her hands close to Akali's wound and quickly chanted a spell, causing green natural energy to flow from her fingertips into Akali's wound.

"We need to get out of here first. My Undead Lock isn't working! These guys turned into sand and floated away! Holy magic doesn't seem to do much damage to them either, these damned zombies!"

Elwin waved his staff, unleashing various spells, but the shattered zombies were instantly reforged by sand and split into even more, moving slowly but already very close to the three of them.

"Mantra: Barrier!"

As Akalitha spoke, she breathed fire from her mouth, shattering a troll zombie.

But instead of retreating, they rammed the barrier even more frantically.

This simple tactical coordination shows that these monsters do not rely entirely on instinct; these creatures either possess intelligence or are being commanded by someone.

"The controller must be nearby,"

Alvin said, panting.

"Such precise manipulation could not have occurred without a source."

"You mean someone deliberately set up these zombies to block our way?"

"It's normal,"

Elwin added, "Zul'Farrak is just ahead, the stronghold of the Sandfury troll tribe. They must have noticed us."

Alvin's heart skipped a beat.

According to those goblins, the sandstorms and zombies only appeared recently. Did they know I was coming?

I don't have any grudge against those trolls, wait... could it be that they've joined forces with Cho'gall?!

"Brother Elwin! The barrier is cracking!" Akalitha shouted.

"I know!"

Alvin gritted his teeth and persevered. He couldn't afford to think too much at this moment. To make matters worse, the consequences of excessive mental energy consumption began to appear: his head was throbbing and his vision was blurry.

"Seed of life, grow!" she cried out in the ancient Elven language.

Several seeds fell into the sand and instantly sprouted and grew, growing into a giant thorny vine at an incredible speed.

Thorny vines entangled the nearest zombies, restricting their movement.

Even more amazingly, the plant roots penetrated deep into the sand, seemingly absorbing some kind of energy from the soil, and more and more vines sprouted from the sand, entangled all the zombies around them.

Alvin stared in disbelief at the vast expanse of green vines that had sprung up in an instant, marveling at the natural magic of the green shadows.
