Chapter 59: Disguise and Sneaking into Durnholde Castle

Alvin's heart trembled, and the ancient castle appeared in his mind.

He remembered that this was the place where Sal was rescued.

Back then he was just a spectator, but now he will personally participate in this adventure.

"In that case, let's go and save him." Alvin said firmly.

Valeera was surprised by Alvin's courage.

"How much do you know about this castle?" Alvin asked.

"This is the layout of the castle that I scouted." Valeera took out a map from her cloak, spread it on the ground and pointed.

"The guards are mainly concentrated in the east wing and the north tower. The south gate is a relatively weak link."

"The castle is heavily guarded. I heard its owner is a cruel man. I strongly suspect he's a member of the Syndicate! Otherwise, they wouldn't have imprisoned Mylox here."

Alvin looked at the map carefully and found that the terrain was similar to his previous impression.

A plan gradually formed in his mind.

"We can sneak into the castle and split into two groups. One of us can set fire to the prison cells below. When the guards are drawn there, the other can take the opportunity to sneak into the castle and rescue Mylox."

Valeera gave a slight nod of agreement, but she still looked worried.

"How are you going to get in? The guards aren't blind!"

"Of course we'll go after disguising ourselves! I can go back and ask Alyssa—the girl you knocked out—to see if she has any good ideas, like disguising herself as someone delivering goods to the castle."

Valeera's expression instantly fell, and she angrily said, "Are you going to see your fiancée again? I thought I just warned you that if you meet her again, I will stab you to death ten thousand times!"

"Isn't this a special case? Or do you have a better idea?" Alvin sighed helplessly.

Valeera hesitated, thought for a moment, and then said, "Okay, I'll listen to you for now. But you'd better not play tricks!"

Although Valeera Sanguinar is stubborn, she is an elf with strong execution ability. After making a decision, she asked Alvin to act immediately.

So the two of them quietly left the ruins and headed towards Elisa Baggio's residence.

On the way, Alvin felt a little complicated. He knew that the success or failure of this operation was not only related to the life and death of Maloxus, but also to the fragile cooperative relationship between him and Valeera, and even the overall plan for the future.

They came to Alyssa’s residence, and Alvin knocked on the door gently.

After a while, the door opened.

Butler Sebastian appeared at the door. Seeing Alvin and Valeera, whose face could not be seen clearly due to the cloak, a hint of surprise appeared on his face.

"Mr. Priest, what happened to you? The young lady came back alone early in the morning and said that you were attacked and she is gathering people to look for you!"

“Ah! It’s all a misunderstanding. I came here to explain the situation to Alyssa. Where is she?”

"Wait a moment, I'll go inform the lady right away!" Sebastian turned and went in. After a while, the sound of "dong dong dong" footsteps was heard, and Alyssa came running over with worry written all over her face.

Before Alyssa could ask, Alvin hurriedly took her aside and whispered to the girl what had just happened.

Alyssa nodded as she listened.

Valeera looked at Alyssa coldly from a distance, her eyes full of vigilance and distrust.

Alyssa also glanced at Valeera and frowned, as if she was still angry at Valeera for knocking her unconscious.

"My beautiful and cold-blooded elf lady, although you are quick with your hands, I hope you can understand that we are now in the same boat. Please do not suddenly strike someone and knock them unconscious again!"

"We're just working together temporarily, so you'd better not play tricks, or I'll beat you until you never wake up again."

Sensing the increasingly tense atmosphere between the two, Alvin quickly said, "Alyssa is a trustworthy friend. She'll help us. Same with Valeera. Stop being so sarcastic!"

"Hmph!" Valeera snorted coldly and turned to the side, but said nothing more.

Alvin briefly explained their plan again and asked for Alyssa's help.

"The castle's owner, Blackmoore, is a cunning guy. He controls Durnholde Castle." After listening to this, Alyssa pondered for a moment and nodded.

"The security there is very tight, but your suggestion is a good one. The person who was originally responsible for delivering food to the castle is our tenant, Old Jack. You can pretend to be his nephew and go in with us. I can help you prepare some disguises. You can wait for me in the hotel room!"

Alyssa smiled slightly and turned to prepare disguise supplies.

Not long after, Alyssa came back with a large bag of disguise supplies. She explained in detail how to use these items and helped Alvin disguise himself.

Alvin looked at himself in the mirror and could hardly recognize himself. He looked like an ordinary country boy that could be seen on the roadside!

“That should be enough.” Alyssa nodded with satisfaction. “You look like an ordinary farm boy now!”

"Thank you, Alyssa." Alvin said to Alyssa gratefully, then turned to look at Valeera.

"Why don't you disguise yourself quickly?"

Valeera looked at Alvin coldly as if he were a fool, then leaned down and disappeared into the shadows.

"I'm a thief, you idiot. I can just go in stealth!"

Valeera's voice was heard in the air, and then her figure reappeared in front of the two of them.

Alvin slapped his head and thought, "Yeah, how could I have forgotten about this!"

It's so convenient for a thief to sneak in and kill the boss directly while completing a mission!

The next morning, the sun shone through the mist onto the earth.

Under Elisa's arrangement, Alvin followed Old Jack to Durnholde Castle.

Old Jack is a tenant of Elisa's family, responsible for delivering vegetables to the castle regularly. The old man has worked in the Baggio family all his life, and has watched Elisa grow up, and he obeys Elisa's words.

Alvin pretended to be his nephew, sat in the car, and prayed in his heart that the operation would go smoothly.

Their carriage slowly approached the castle, whose high walls and towers looked particularly gloomy in the sunlight.

Several guards were patrolling in front of the castle gate. When they saw the carriage approaching, they immediately stepped forward to stop it.

"Old Jack, who is this young man?" a guard asked with a frown, his eyes full of vigilance.

"Haha, this is my nephew. He just came from the countryside and came to learn some skills from me." Old Jack replied with a smile.

The guard looked at Alvin with suspicion. Alvin tried to remain calm and pretended to be stupid and gave the guard a silly smile.

"He doesn't look like someone who does this kind of work. He looks a little stupid!" said the guard.

Old Jack quickly explained, "He's still young and not very sensible, but he's very hardworking. I brought him here today to see the world."

The guard nodded.

"Okay, but you have to be careful. Things are not peaceful in the castle lately."

Alvin and Old Jack breathed a sigh of relief and continued to drive into the castle.

Valeera easily sneaked into the castle under the guards' noses.
