Fall in love with summer flamingos
Chapter 22 The Brother I Love and Hate
That was the time when Gu Shiye was angry with him and was in a cold war with him. Only at that time would he not bang on his door frantically outside and keep yelling at him until he opened the door and let the person in.
Later, he found out that he had found the other person's weakness. Every time Gu Shiye played tricks on him and bullied him and was discovered by his mother and was caught by his mother and came to apologize, as long as he didn't smile and tell his brother that it was okay, he would give him the cold shoulder and would not bother him for at least two or three days.
Later he always used this method, and they did so until they graduated from elementary school.
Later, his mother died unexpectedly, and his father became less willing to go home. When he came back, he no longer smiled at his beloved son. Gu Shiye cried for several days and did not speak for a long time. Later, his personality was different and he seemed not as bad as before.
After entering junior high school, it was difficult for him to find such an opportunity to exchange for his own private space, because Gu Shiye seemed to no longer tease him or play harmless pranks on him.
I don't know if it's the family changes that made him grow up, or if he's just grown up and become sensible. I usually do homework with him, walk the dog with him, and always stick to him. But sometimes I'll suddenly ignore him for a few days for no reason. He doesn't care, as he just wants some peace and quiet.
He thought that Gu Shiye’s personality was really strange. It had nothing to do with good or bad, but there was a sense of disconnection.
He opened the door and locked it, and the familiar bedroom came into view. The sunlight shone on the light green quilt. The window was open, and the champagne-colored tassel curtains swayed in the wind. The hourglass on the desk was still in its old position, and there was a European-style table lamp with tassels. There was a sunflower mural on the wall opposite the bed, and a family photo on the bedside table.
Gu Shiye walked slowly around the room and finally realized that he was home. He looked at the familiar room, which had been away for just over a month, but he actually felt a little strange.
He took off his clothes, opened the closet and took out his usual pajamas, then went to the bathroom to take a good bath to relax. After coming out, he planned to go to bed to rest for a while. Not long after he lay down, there was a knock on the door, and along with the knock was a voice.
"Brother, are you asleep?"
You open the door
beep, beep...
I know you are not asleep, I want to tell you something.
Brother, if you don’t open the door, I’ll go get the key.
Gu Shiye frowned and stood up to open the door. The people outside had already squeezed in. He walked straight to the bed and sat down.
Gu Shiye closed the door and stood there looking at him. "What?"
The man sat on the bed with his legs stretched out, his long legs spread out like that, looking a little funny. He stretched out his slender arms, pouted and said coquettishly, "Brother, come and hug me."
Gu Shiye walked towards him. He lowered his head and looked at the person on the bed. In an instant, he was hugged by the waist. The person holding him did not say a word and did not move. From time to time, he tightened his grip a little, making him feel uncomfortable. He patted the head of the person holding him to signal him to let go, and then asked him softly:
"What’s wrong with you"
"It's nothing, I just miss my brother a lot," Gu Shiye said sullenly, still not letting go of his hand, but loosening it a little.
He pulled Gu Shiye's hand away, lifted his chin, hooked his fingers and scratched the tip of his nose, looking into his slightly misty eyes.
"I'm back." He walked out, took off his shoes and got into bed. He reached out and pulled the curtains beside the bed, blocking the sunlight from shining on the quilt. Then he turned his head and looked at the person beside the bed. "I want to sleep for a while, you go out first."
"Then I'll sleep with my brother." Before he could refuse, Gu Shiye had already taken off his outer clothes and shoes, crawled into his bed, curled up, and lay down with his back to him.
He glanced at the back of the head, sighed softly, and lay down. He pulled the quilt to cover them both. The sunlight at the end of the bed warmed his feet. He smelled the familiar scent emanating from the light green quilt and slowly relaxed.
Gu Shiye's feelings towards his younger brother are very complicated, especially after what happened that year and after he accidentally overheard the conversation between his parents. He can no longer treat his younger brother the same way as before he was seven years old. This made him taste the greatest hurt from family affection too early in his childhood. He will never forget the look in his eyes when he closed the door, cold and strange, and he can't feel without grudges.
His younger brother lied to him and locked him up, his father didn't love him, and his mother was caught in the middle and helpless. These things dealt a great blow to his young heart. Before he could learn how to be a happy child at such an innocent age, he already tasted the greatest harm from his father and younger brother. At that age, he learned to be cautious, observe people's words and expressions, learn how to be on guard against others, and learn how to stay away from people.
Many things happened later, such as the stains on his school uniform, the missing other shoe, the red scarf that disappeared out of thin air, the homework that he couldn't find after finishing it, and so on. Whether they were unintentional or intentional, although they did not cause serious consequences, they made it impossible for him to get close to his younger brother.
But because of the potential blood relationship in their bones, perhaps twins have so-called telepathy. Sometimes he can feel that his younger brother is sad because of his alienation and indifference, which makes him feel a deep sense of guilt in his heart. He almost forces himself to fulfill his responsibilities and obligations as an older brother by instinct.
He spent many years trying to understand why things were like this between him and his brother.
He didn't understand why his brother who loved him hated him so much, wanted him to be with him all the time, but also really wanted him to disappear completely.
He was confused, entangled, in pain, and struggling, but he loved him, the love of a brother who was connected by blood and could not be separated. He was afraid of him, which came from his body's instinctive fear of the evil of human nature.
As he thought about this, his head started to swell. He was about to take a nap when the person next to him turned around and hugged him, putting his legs on him. He frowned and moved his legs down, barely adapting to the bear hug from the adult boy. The person next to him rubbed his shoulder and muttered in a whisper, "Brother, go to sleep." After saying this, he fell asleep again without a sound.
Gu Shiye looked at his innocent sleeping face, gradually closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
