Chapter 6: The Showdown That Shocked the Sea World

"Have the guts!"

Barrett swung his fist again, and the strong wind blew up Teya's hair.

Teya took a stance, leaned sideways with his right foot pressed against the ground, lowered his center of gravity, gathered power in his right fist, and activated his Armament Haki hardening.

Feeling Thea's power, Barrett laughed wildly and punched Thea.

Teya also threw a punch, and the two were about to collide like meteorites.

"stop!"

After two angry shouts, the two men stopped moving. Garp and Roger returned and looked at their subordinates with serious expressions.

boom--

thump—

Barrett was punched in the abdomen, while Teja was hit in the head.

The dispute was settled.

Thea didn't know what Garp and Roger were talking about, but since he had returned, he thought it must have come to an end.

Witnessing Garp grabbing Thea by the ear, Roger suddenly asked, "Marine, what's your name?"

Seeing Roger looking at him with a smile, Thea broke free from Garp and replied, "Thea."

"Boy, you are unique. I have heard your fiery heart and may be able to change something. However, you are not a king."

Hearing this, Teya couldn't help but frown.

A king's talent? What does this mean?

Teya chuckled, looked directly at Roger, and replied:

"Roger." Teya looked at Roger and smiled slightly. "So far, have you given up on the path you've chosen just because you don't have the qualities to be a king?"

"A king's talent? I only do what I want."

Roger was stunned, then burst into laughter.

A powerful aura surged out of Roger's body, and under this pressure, Teya broke out in a cold sweat.

Is this the domineering aura of a king?

However, Teya's eyes were firm, he was not frightened by the aura, instead he smiled mysteriously.

Roger restrained his aura and said, "Interesting boy, but unfortunately, I can't see your future."

"Do your best to move forward, young sailor. The world is still full of wonders."

After saying this, Roger waved and left.

Thea suddenly called his name, and Roger stopped without looking back.

"Roger, I prefer to call you an explorer rather than a pirate."

Roger said nothing, but his laughter rang out as he gradually approached his boat.

The two ships went their separate ways, gradually moving farther and farther away until they disappeared into the horizon.

Near the New World Calm Sea.

Two warships of the same size were anchored side by side. Sengoku stood on the deck, staring at Garp and Thea with an expression of disbelief on his face.

"That's it?"

Zhan Guo looked at Garp in confusion, only to see Garp scratching his nose with an indifferent look on his face. Behind him, Teya held his head with both hands and whistled leisurely.

Faced with this "unemployed" old and young couple, Zhan Guo was helpless.

You came all the way here, only to be dismissed with just a perfunctory word?

That being said, as long as Golden Lion and Roger hadn't joined forces, the mission would have been accomplished. It was a shame that Garp hadn't been able to capture them.

Garp explained that a sudden storm hit the sea, and Roger and the Golden Lion suffered heavy losses, and escaped in the chaos.

This explanation was reasonable, so Zhan Guo did not ask any further questions because he still had to report to Marshal Kong when he returned to headquarters.

So, Zhan Guo returned to his ship, and the two ships returned to headquarters one after the other.

Inside the cabin.

Garp sat on the chair and looked seriously at Thea who was leaning on the sofa with a leisurely expression.

"Boy, Roger actually told me that he admires you. Did you two have any friendship before?"

Facing Garp's question, Teya looked up and said with a look of a fool, "Do you believe it?"

"But the last few words you said to him were..."

"I'm just speaking my mind, and besides...eh?"

"Snoring——"

Karp fell asleep during the conversation, with snot bubbles coming out of his nose.

Thea rolled her eyes and slumped down on the couch, contemplating her conversation with Roger.

The talent of a king, the voice of my heart.

Teya knew that Roger's observation Haki could hear the sounds of all things. Could it be that he was different from others because he came from another world?

Perhaps Roger knew that Thea had a heart to change the world, and so he felt she was special. However, that was unimportant. Thea still had much to do, and words alone were not enough; action was needed.

If you want to get something, you must act first.

If there is any way, I will push...

"Broo-Broo-"

The sound of Den Den Mushi awakened Toya who was lost in thought. It was a Den Den Mushi given to him by Crane. He had kept it and brought it with him on this trip.

Is it Sister He calling?

Thea left Karp's office and returned to her room.

"Hello? Is this Teia?"

"Teacher Zefa? Why is it you?"

The caller was Zefa. I seemed to hear He's voice and some noises, and there seemed to be quite a few people around.

Maybe it's the headquarters.

Zefa asked about Teya's condition and was relieved to know that she was not troubled. After a few pleasantries, he hung up the phone.

Teya seemed to have something to say but hesitated, and he tried to speak twice but stopped himself.

However, I am already on my way back. We will discuss this matter after I return.

Teya opened the notebook on the bedside and read what was written there.

"It is now 1495, and there are only two years left until Roger becomes the Pirate King."

The great pirate era is coming.

That night, on an island in the New World.
