HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 44 He Doesn't Need Reward

When Ron saw Harry sitting alone at the dining table in the auditorium, he sighed knowing the outcome.

Hermione was speechless. What else could she say? Should she expose the fact that Nariel had given up Harry and chosen Hufflepuff?

That would be too cruel to Harry.

After having dinner with Ernest and Justin, Nalilian made an appointment to study in the library.

She was pleasantly surprised to find that Justin, like her, liked to fall asleep by reading.

As if she had found a companion, she couldn't help but fall asleep on the table with Justin on the book.

So when Ernest raised his head from the textbook, he saw two heads buried in the textbooks and burst out laughing.

He reached out and picked up the outer robe he had taken off and covered Nalilian with it. He then picked up Nalilian's homework that she had put aside and began to look through it, helping her correct a few grammatical errors.

At this moment, a shadow enveloped him. Ernest raised his head and saw a tall and handsome black-haired boy standing beside their table, looking at Nalilian who was sleeping soundly on her textbook.

Then he reached out and tucked the robe he had gently draped over the girl's shoulders under her arms.

Ernest stood up, and Kerston looked at him, tilting his head towards the outside of the library, indicating that he had something to say to him.

"Thank you for your help, McMillan," Kerston said as he walked out of the library.

He knew that his sister was spoiled by the people around her, including him.

"It's my pleasure, Senior Ende," said Ernest.

Facing this senior who was two grades older than him, he didn't have the courage to say that the other's sister would cause him trouble.

Besides, this couldn't be called a trouble, and he wasn't unwilling to do it.

Kerston looked at Ernest for a while, then said, "Ced and I are writing a book about Quidditch formation changes and recommendations for diet and training for the players."

Keston had discovered that the latest work on Quidditch in the entire wizarding world was "Quidditch Through the Ages", but that was written several years ago.

As a member of a Muggle family, he had been exposed to football and basketball since childhood, and noticed the similarities between them and Quidditch, realizing that this was a great opportunity.

After all, Muggle society updates and iterates faster. Due to the large population, more impossibilities are created, so the formations and tactics in ball sports are more innovative than those in the wizarding world.

If he applied the Muggle world to Quidditch, he was pretty sure he would become popular, and that he could use it to gain fame and fortune.

It's not that he was short of money, but he found that fighting against Malfoy was not as easy as he thought. The other party's family power and status had been rooted in the wizarding world for hundreds of years.

But it will be soon, because according to the attitude of Headmaster Dumbledore, a very important figure in the wizarding world, towards the Malfoy family, this deep-rooted rotten tree should also fall.

What he needed to do was to present a sharp blade made of gold Galleons to Headmaster Dumbledore. After all, the Weasley family who supported him was not that rich.

"Although there is no guarantee that it will become a hit, at least it can be published, and I will add your name to it," he said to Ernest.

He knew from a young age that asking for help requires a price.

Especially when it comes to taking care of Nalilian.

"I am very grateful for Senior Ende's kindness."

Ernest felt flattered that the other party told him such a big secret.

"But if I accept this, it would be very shameless."

"Senior Ende has helped me a lot."

"Besides, being with Miss Nalilian is a pleasure in itself."

Kersten narrowed his eyes at the blond boy in front of him, who was a head shorter than him, "I'm not testing you."

Ernest also looked at him seriously and replied, "What I said came from my heart."

"Even if there are no results," Kersten asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes," Ernest nodded, "I am satisfied to be able to get along with Miss Nalilian."

"Okay, remember what you said," Kersten saw his sincerity, "If you regret it, you can always come to me."

"Thank you, Senior Ende," Ernest responded.

Kersten glanced into the library and turned to leave.

Ernest went back to the library, sat next to his two sleepy friends, picked up Nalilian's homework and continued to check it.

When night fell, Ernest finished checking Narillien's homework and woke her up, as she would easily suffer from insomnia if she went back to sleep.

Waking up to Ernest's call, Nalilian felt the outer robe on her body in a daze. Her cheeks felt hot and she began to thank Ernest.

After all, Justin fell asleep before her, so it definitely wasn't Justin who put the blanket on her.

But she found that the corner of her robe was pressed under her arm.

Keston was here.

"Thank you," Nalilian pulled down the robe and returned it to Ernest, who took the robe and put it aside, then smiled and said it was okay.

Facing Ernest's calm face, Nalilian hesitated for a moment, but still asked, "Did Kersten come to see me?"

She wasn't used to not seeing Kerston for almost the entire day.

Ernest was startled, then nodded in agreement with Nalilian's guess, and was very curious, "Please forgive my impoliteness, but I'm curious, Lilian, how did you know that Senior Ende was here."

Nalilian looked at his robe with a helpless expression, "Although Kerston looks fierce, he always has a cold face."

As she spoke, the helplessness on her face took on a touch of warmth, "But he is very careful and does everything very meticulously."

For example, if I put a coat on her, I will definitely tuck in the corners for her.

"I don't think you're any less meticulous than he is, but he's too meticulous."

I want to help her accomplish everything and don't want her to worry about anything.

"In short, he's an overly meticulous old woman."

A typical Virgo who demands perfection in everything.

Old maid? Ernest was stunned, then laughed, "I didn't expect that Senior Ende was like this in Lillian's heart."

"Yes," Nalilian nodded. Seeing Ernest's slightly indulgent smile, she narrowed her eyes at him. "You can't tell Kersten, otherwise I will be in trouble."

"It's our secret, Ernie."

Faced with the girl's slightly playful smile, Ernest was stunned for a moment, his ears were so hot that he felt helpless. He quickly lowered his head to respond, and when he heard Nalilian's chuckle, his face also felt a little hot.

As expected, Senior Ende, he doesn’t need any reward.
