HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 42 They All Caught Her

The afternoon class was Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Hermione was very excited on the way to class.

She admired the new Professor Lockhart very much and even fluently recited a few paragraphs from Lockhart's autobiography that modestly praised himself. However, those sentences that were filled with the aroma of tea made Na Lilian feel nauseous.

"Don't you think he's charming? More charming than anyone I've ever met," Hermione said seriously.

"How many layers of reader filters do you have on?" Nalilian asked helplessly.

Please forgive her, she really can't appreciate Professor Lockhart's peacock-like temperament.

Professor Lockhart always dressed in a gorgeous and exquisite manner and spoke in a fancy manner, as if he was imitating an aristocrat.

But true aristocrats are very low-key and will not proclaim themselves as aristocrats everywhere, but their temperament is revealed in their every move.

For example, the pure-blooded Ernest.

He seldom tells others that he is a pure-blood, and he does not discriminate against Muggles, but he deserves the title of pure-blood aristocrat.

Think about it, there are a lot of pure-bloods around her, but the Weasleys are a bunch of wild kids, Neville is a fool, and Malfoy is an arrogant and domineering second-generation rich kid. None of them really fits the definition of nobility in Narilean's mind.

So when Ernest appeared, her eyes lit up.

“What filter?”

Hermione didn't understand, so Nalilian explained that it was a beautification, which made Hermione a little angry.

"Lillian, if you don't like reading, don't make random comments!"

Nalilian was scolded by her and became more disgusted with Professor Lockhart.

When she entered the classroom, Nalilian saw Ernest and Justin sitting together, and then she realized that they were also taking this class with the Hufflepuffs.

"Lillian!"

Justin, who was dozing off over his textbook, noticed her and immediately sat up and waved to her, but shrank back when he saw Hermione next to her.

The girl who interrogated him was also there.

Ernest, who was flipping through the textbook, also turned his head to look at Nalilian.

He had originally wanted to see the bastard Justin, because he had called Nalilian by her nickname without even asking her wishes.

But after meeting Nalilian's gaze, he couldn't help but smile and greet her with a tentative and inquiring look.

Do you want to sit with them?

Narilean looked at Hermione, who immediately took her arm and, ignoring the two handsome Hufflepuff boys, pulled her forward. "The seat up front is empty."

Nalilian only showed an apologetic expression to Ernest, who shook his head slightly at her, indicating that it was okay.

Not long after, many people came into the classroom. Nalilian sat in the front with Hermione and didn't see what was happening to other people.

Soon Professor Lockhart came into the classroom. Hermione looked at him with admiration, her eyes sparkling with stars, which made Narellean experience the feeling of having a crazy fan as her roommate.

Seeing that almost everyone had arrived, Professor Lockhart began the class. He first introduced himself and the honors he had received, and then handed them a test paper.

The test paper was full of questions about Professor Lockhart, such as Professor Lockhart's favorite color, Professor Lockhart's birthday, and Professor Lockhart's achievements, which made Nalilian almost throw it away.

Isn't this just treating people as his crazy fans? Not everyone is Hermione.

Because she had not read Professor Lockhart's book, Narilean could not answer any of the questions, so she wrote something random and handed it in.

After receiving these questionnaires, Professor Lockhart began to comment, mentioning that his secret ambition, which only Hermione answered, was to eliminate all evil from the world and to buy and sell his shampoo.

This shocked Nalilian. She found that the professor not only thought they were all his fans but also wanted to take advantage of them.

Anyway, she would never buy any of his shampoo.

Although Hermione looked eager to try.

When Narilian thought that the professor would not do anything more annoying, Lockhart lived up to expectations and opened the cage he brought -

It was full of Cornish pixies, a kind of blue-gray, winged pixie.

Professor Lockhart told them that it was a very evil and vicious elf, which made the boys present laugh.

To them, these little elves were just toys like scarabs. The professor used these creatures as teaching materials in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, which was tantamount to teaching them how to kill insects.

The boys were laughing like crazy.

Amid the boys' laughter, Professor Lockhart blushed and retorted that it was a very evil creature.

But everyone is past the age of listening to fairy tales and will not be scared by him.

But when the professor really released the group of scarab elves, they were really scared.

This group of iron-blue elves rushed out of the cage, with Narilean and Hermione being the first to be hit. Narilean was so scared that she picked up her wand and cast a fixing spell, freezing a large group of elves. She quickly pulled Hermione away from her seat.

"Lillian!"

When she ran to the back seat, Nalilian was grabbed by two hands. She opened her eyes wide and saw clearly that one hand was Ernest's and the other hand was Harry's.

Meeting Harry's green eyes, she saw the worry and surprise in them, but he immediately let go and pulled Hermione back.

Nalilian was pulled over by Ernest, and Hermione was pulled over by Harry.

"Are you okay, Lillian?"

Ernest protected her and hid under the table, while Justin squatted beside her and asked her worriedly.

Nalilian forced a smile and said, "Just now I thought I was going to hell."

She dislikes reptiles, especially small humanoid creatures, which terrify her.

"It's okay now," Ernest protected her back and comforted her gently.

He had noticed from Nalilian's timidity with the mandrakes when she was carrying them before that she seemed to dislike this humanoid creature.

Nalilian looked at him and saw the comfort in his eyes, and her expression relaxed.

On the other side, the group of elves were frantically demolishing the classroom. They smashed the window glass, smashed all the ink on the table, and even caught Neville and hung him on the chandelier.

"Don't worry, everyone. Let me deal with them." The only one brave enough to stand outside the table was Professor Lockhart.

He picked up his wand and pointed it at the elves, casting a spell, "Pesky Pixie Pesternomie!"

It didn't work at all, and the elf even took his wand away from him, scaring him so much that he screamed and hid under the podium.

Justin looked frustrated, "I never expected Professor Lockhart to be like this."

Nalilian had the honor of witnessing the fan withdrawal scene, and she couldn't help but look at Ernest. She received his insightful smile, and then she smiled relaxedly.

Fortunately, the bell rang at this time, and everyone left Professor Lockhart and ran out. Justin led the way, and Ernest pulled Nalilian and successfully ran out the door.

"What about our textbooks?"

After going out, they were protected by Ernest and Justin and ran downstairs. Nalilian couldn't help but speak. They fled in such a hurry that they didn't even take their textbooks with them.

"Let's get it later, Lillian," Ernest had already thought about it. "Let's wait until the professor cleans up the classroom before we get it."

"Alas," Justin sighed, looking particularly pitiful.

They just lost the textbook, but he also lost the heart of an innocent fan.
