HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob
Chapter 4 So, which college are you going to?
Most men have similar hobbies and cannot avoid ball sports. Quidditch is a fusion of various ball sports in the wizarding world, such as basketball, football, badminton, etc. No wonder almost all wizard boys love it.
So, even if her brother and his friends left her at Florin's Ice Cream Shop to look at things and went to the Quidditch Gift Shop with their arms around each other's shoulders, Nalilian should understand them.
After all, it’s not convenient to squeeze with a group of children in the store while carrying things.
Sitting near the floor-to-ceiling window, with piles of things on the seat next to her and an owl cage on the nearest seat, Nallilian ate the ice cream bought by Kerston and opened the new book "Hogwarts: A History".
The book was chosen by Kerston himself for her to read.
This book praises Hogwarts in detail. If Narilian had not read the biographies of the four giants in the game, she would have thought that Hogwarts was the result of the hard work of wizarding families, who selflessly dedicated their knowledge just to pass it on to the next generation.
In fact, the emergence of Hogwarts was accompanied by blood and tears. The four giants' public imparting of knowledge infringed upon the interests of the wizarding family.
If Hogwarts hadn't been able to alleviate the fears of a dwindling wizarding population and the drawbacks of inbreeding, it might have ceased to exist.
Although Hogwarts now appears to be open to accepting children from Muggle families with magical abilities, it is actually controlled by the Board of Trustees.
The Hogwarts board of directors is composed of wizards who have status in the wizarding world, and there is no specific standard for assessing this status.
To put it bluntly, the Hogwarts board of directors is still controlled by the ancient wizarding family, which means that Hogwarts is always under the rule of the wizarding family.
Nalilian read more than ten pages in a row and stopped reading because she felt it was ironic. She looked up from the book and wanted to eat some ice cream to relieve her mood, and then she met a pair of bright eyes.
The little girl with thick brown hair sitting opposite her seemed to look at her for a long time.
"Are you also a student about to enter Hogwarts?"
The other party asked directly, his eyes jumping from her face to the books, robes, wand and the snowy owl beside her.
"What kind of owl is that? Why don't I see it in that pet store?"
Nalilian looked at her in surprise.
Hermione, her ten-heart target.
As for her, Nalilian had already thought of how to approach her. She just needed to enter Gryffindor house and become friends with Hermione.
It would be better if we knew each other in advance.
Narilean pushed the white owl that Hermione had been looking at over to her and said, "I am indeed a student enrolled at Hogwarts this semester. This is a Snowy Owl."
The white owl looked at her because of the shaking cage, and its round yellow eyes seemed to say don't abandon it.
Nalilian simply ignored it.
Hermione came over, or rather sat down in the pile of books next to her.
She looked at the white owl in the cage with curiosity and said, "I wanted to buy an owl, but no one in my family knows how to raise it."
Nalilian paused, then remembered that she didn't know how to raise an owl, so she said, "My brother should be able to help me raise one." After all, he was the one who bought it.
"Brother?" Hermione looked up at her curiously and asked, "Is your brother also a wizard?"
Hermione's eyes fell on her clothes. It was a small goose yellow dress worn by Mrs. Ender, but it told everyone who saw it that Narelle's family was not a wizarding family.
After all, wizards all wear loose wizard robes.
"Well, he and I are the only wizards in my family," Narilean nodded. She noticed Hermione's eyes lit up, so she continued, "My name is Narilean Ender. What's yours?"
"My name is Hermione Granger," Hermione said, looking down. Seeing the book in front of Narilla, she became even more interested. "This doesn't seem to be a textbook?"
"My brother asked me to read the History of Hogwarts," Narilla pushed the book over. "I recommend you read it too."
Hermione took it and flipped through the cover. "Hogwarts, a history of the school. I haven't seen it in the bookstore."
She explained the reason for her interest and turned to the place where Nalilian had just been looking and read it with interest.
She seemed to be a polite girl who didn't want to disturb the place she was looking at just now.
Realizing this, Nalilian scooped a spoonful of ice cream and held it to her mouth and asked, "Would you like some ice cream?"
Hermione refused without even looking up, "No, I just ate one portion and I'm afraid I'll get diarrhea if I eat too much."
There was a hint of impatience at being interrupted in her tone.
What a pity, thought Nalilian, stuffing the ice cream into her mouth, and looking out the window boredly, just in time to see Kerston and Cedric who had returned.
The two men stood there holding a bunch of things of different sizes, looking at her with strange eyes. After she stared at them for a while, the two men actually turned around and left.
Nalilian's mouth twitched.
The care they gave her, as if leaving her space to communicate with her friends, made her feel like they were taking care of her like a little sister.
Fortunately, Hermione realized that it was not a good idea to abandon her new friend. She looked up from her book reluctantly and said, "It turns out that Hogwarts has four more houses. After entering, we need to be sorted."
"Yes," Narilean replied. Feeling that the other party would be very interested in this matter, she said, "My brother is a Hufflepuff."
"Hufflepuff?" Hermione frowned and said bluntly, "I feel this house is very ordinary. You can tell from the description in the book."
"Well..." Nalilian wanted to agree with her, but when she thought of Kersten, she didn't say anything. She decided to touch upon the topic lightly and changed the subject, asking, "Which college do you want to go to?"
"Gryffindor is great. In the book I was reading just now, many famous people were from Gryffindor."
Hermione looked at her sincerely and said, her effortful expression made Narilian feel that she was craving for recognition.
Nalilian had also decided to go to Gryffindor. After all, there were many high-value targets there. She naturally agreed and said, "Gryffindor is great. You have good taste."
Hearing this, Hermione smiled and her cheeks turned pink. She rarely received praise from her peers.
She happily chatted with Nalilian about her analysis of the wizarding world based on a book she had just read, "Modern History of Magic".
Nalilian listened to her quietly, nodding in agreement from time to time, and inexplicably thought of the article she had read before traveling through time, which said that making friends requires learning to listen.
Hermione seemed to really enjoy having a friend who listened to her.
No wonder she ended up with Ron Weasley, a guy with a softer personality.
Not long after, Hermione's mother, Mrs. Granger, came. She had gone to Gringotts to exchange currency, but there were too many people there, so she left Hermione there.
Next, Hermione went to the wand shop with Mrs. Granger to buy a wand, and had to say goodbye to Narielian with regret.
After Granger and her daughter left, Kerston and Cedric popped out from somewhere, perhaps they had been hiding nearby and eavesdropping.
But the two of them began to help her pack up in silence, and the atmosphere felt a little off.
Narilean quickly realized that they might be angry after hearing Hermione say that Hufflepuff was ordinary. This was the same as how she could talk about her alma mater freely but not allow others to do so.
"Lillian prefers Gryffindor?"
When Nalilian was struggling with how to break this situation, Cedric offered a thoughtful suggestion, pushing her into a more dilemma.
Nalilian glanced at Kerston, who had a sour look on his face, but was secretly looking in her direction.
Instead, she calmed down and said, "Gryffindor is indeed good. After all, Headmaster Dumbledore is also from Gryffindor."
Kerston's face turned even uglier when he heard this, but Nalilian's next sentence made him raise his eyebrows, "But if I had to choose, I would choose Hufflepuff."
Cedric smiled at her and asked, "Why, Lillian?"
Meeting Cedric's eyes, Nalilian, who had already thought of a response, was startled when she saw his brown eyes scattering golden light in the sunlight coming in from the window, and her cheeks suddenly became hot.
She quickly avoided the other person's gaze and said in a low, embarrassed voice, "Because you are there."
Although her voice was low, the two boys heard it clearly.
The corners of Kerston's mouth were already raised. Cedric saw Nalilian's two red ears raised because she lowered her head, and he couldn't help but touch the girl's furry head.
"Come to Hufflepuff, Lillian," he said with a smile, but his expression was more serious than before, "We'll be waiting for you."
