HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 3: Sister as a Creature

Kirsten Ender, a fourteen-year-old third-year student at Hogwarts Hufflepuff School.

At an age when other children might get lost while shopping with their parents in the mall, he was asked by his parents to take his younger sister to buy school supplies.

Or supplies from the magic academy.

You have to know that Kxton has not been here many times. When he first received the admission letter from Hogwarts, he was taken to Diagon Alley by his own head teacher, Professor Pomona Sprout.

But in the blink of an eye he was able to do what the professor did.

But Nalilian was different from him at that time. Not only was she quiet, she also didn't like to get close to people. She followed him from a distance, like a little tail.

Keston, very upset.

This irritation reached its peak when his friend Cedric Diggory showed a surprised expression when he saw the little tail behind him.

The two were roommates and teammates on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. They had a very good relationship and had made an appointment before the end of last semester to go to Diagon Alley together during the summer vacation to buy items for the next semester.

But this agreement did not include that he would bring his sister.

"Na Lilian, come here," he called his sister's full name impatiently.

Realizing her brother's anger, Nalilian was confused, but walked over to Kerston and smiled at Cedric.

He smiled back at her, his eyes were dark brown and looked very gentle.

He looked at her and said, "Hello, Nallylian, I'm your brother's friend, Cedric Diggory."

The tone sounded like coaxing a three-year-old child, and Nalilian sighed inwardly.

She now regretted following Mrs. Ender's arrangement to follow her stepbrother to Diagon Alley. Perhaps she should have been alert when she heard Kersten say he had an appointment with a friend.

But she really didn't expect that Kerston's friend would be the ten-heart target on her strategy list: Cedric Diggory.

Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff's house idol, future prefect and Quidditch captain, later became the legendary student representing Hogwarts in the Goblet of Fire.

The most important thing is that the other party’s girlfriend is Qiu Zhang, the Asian Ravenclaw.

His preferences are definitely more towards the dazzling and outstanding types.

At least it won't be my friend's sister.

"Hello," Nalilian responded, but she had actually given up on this strategy character.

Because a favorability value of 60 is the liking stage, then to reach a favorability value of 50 is generally the ambiguous stage above friendship but below lovers.

If the other party defines her as a friend's sister, it would be difficult to meet this condition.

She looked at Kerston again and met his eyes.

The other person was startled, touched her head and ruffled her hair, which startled Nalilian and she subconsciously wanted to step back.

But before she could retreat, Kerston pushed her behind him.

"Come on, Seth, don't worry about her, just buy her something later," Kersten said, hugging his good friend.

Cedric turned around and gave Nalilian a reassuring smile, then was pushed forward by Kerston.

Nalilian, with her messy hair, looked at Kerston's back with a disheveled face. What was the difference between him touching her and touching a puppy?

She scratched her hair and kept up with the two boys.

Despite this, the two boys went ahead and bought robes, textbooks, supplies, and other difficult-to-carry items.

The only thing Nallylian held was a snowy owl that Kersten had pressed into her hands.

This white owl made the little wizards passing by look at her with envy.

After all, this is a snowy owl that needs to be pre-ordered from Ella Owl Shop a month in advance and the starting price is the same as two screech owls.

Nalilian was a little dumbfounded when she got the snowy owl. After all, when Kerston gave it to her, it seemed like an ordinary barn owl.

If she hadn't seen in Hedwig's introduction that snowy owls needed to be ordered in advance, she would have had no idea how much Kerston cared about her.

So when she was taken to the wand shop, Nalilian felt very uncomfortable and even a little scared.

Would Kersten resent himself if he knew she had replaced his sister?

When they arrived at the wand shop, Kerston came to pick up her owl cage, and she subconsciously took a few steps back.

Kerston's raised hand hung in the air, and the smile on his face disappeared. He stared at her blankly for a while, then withdrew his hand.

Nalilian's action just now was subconscious. When she realized that she had done something wrong, she quickly looked at Kerston and keenly caught the hurt in his eyes. She stopped there at a loss, looking at him eagerly.

The air between the two of them seemed to be frozen.

Watching the brother and sister standing as if in confrontation, one with an expression of "How could she be afraid of him" and the other shrinking in fear realizing that he had done something wrong but didn't know how to comfort her, Cedric laughed instead.

He quipped, "Does Lillian like this owl too much?"

These words were like a life-saving straw, and Nalilian quickly grabbed them and responded with a "Yeah."

After answering, she felt that it was not enough and continued to add, "It looks very good. I like it very much."

She finished, looking at Cedric gratefully.

The other person smiled gently at her.

"Okay, I'm not a devil, why should I be so scared? And I'm saying things against my will," Kerston snorted, refusing to admit that he was being coaxed.

He walked over and took the owl cage from her arms. This time, Nalilian didn't move obediently, and her hair was ruffled by her cheap brother.

"Go buy your own wand."

After touching her, he said something like, "I don't recognize her," and stuffed his wallet into her arms, pushing her towards the door of Ollivander's Wand Shop.

Standing at the door, Nalilian looked at the shop's dated interior, then turned back to look at the two older boys, receiving an urging glance from Kerston and an encouraging look from Cedric.

She had no choice but to walk in carrying Kersten's heavy wallet.

After witnessing Nalilian's figure disappear in the store, Kerston looked away and met his friend's teasing gaze.

"What?" he asked uncomfortably.

"Just follow along if you're worried," Cedric suggested.

"What are you worried about? She's already eleven years old, why would she be afraid of buying a wand? When I was brought here by Professor Sprout, I went there by myself, and there's nothing dangerous in a wand shop," Kerston said with a frown.

It's clear that he has thought of everything he needs to worry about.

Cedric smiled and looked at the white owl he was holding and reminded, "Lillian may not know that this is the back-to-school gift you prepared for her."

Instead, Kersten became alert and asked, "So?"

"Do you need me to help you talk? You mentioned in your recent letter that Lillian is very restrained at home, and perhaps a relative stranger like me can have more topics to talk about with Lillian," Cedric suggested sincerely.

"Goodbye, Thad, Lillian and you won't have anything to talk about," Kerston shook his head with a stiff face.

He didn't want Cedric to expose all his secrets to his younger sister.

After getting this answer, Cedric wanted to say something, but Kersten was already looking towards the door of the wand shop.

Nalilian came out with her wand.

"How come so fast?" Kersten asked in surprise. He looked at the wand in her hand and asked, "What type?"

"Hawthorn wood, phoenix feather, about 10 inches long. The old man said it was too fast, so I don't remember clearly. The reason it was fast was that the wand flew over on its own, so I didn't have much time to choose."

Nalilian answered Kerston's questions one by one and handed over the wand and wallet.

Kerston took the wallet but not the wand and scolded, "The wand is a very personal item. Don't give it to others casually."

Even so, he stared at Narielian's hawthorn wand.

"Phoenix feathers are a rare material for wands. What we usually see are unicorn tail hairs." Cedric also looked at Narilian's wand and explained the two people's behavior.

He then praised, "Lillian will surely be a very powerful wizard."

"Is that so," Nalilian tried to agree.

But she was not used to Cedric's coaxing tone, which was similar to Mrs. Ender's, so she changed the subject and asked, "Where are we going next?"

This made Keston and Cedric perk up. They looked at each other and said in unison, "Quidditch Gift Shop."
