HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 246 Powerless, Only 1

When she woke up in the morning, Nalilian sat up in her bed and remembered the nightmare she had last night.

Last night she confessed to Seth about her and Kston, but Seth insisted on coming to her house. She saw the two of them lying on either side of her bed at night. After she got out of bed, she quarreled with Kston and asked him to get rid of Seth.

She covered her face.

This must be a dream, right?

Then she got up and went down to the living room, where she saw Cedric making breakfast in the kitchen and Kirsten peeling a grapefruit while reading a newspaper at the dining table.

Nalilian: "..."

It’s not a dream, I feel so powerless.

She chose a seat far away from both of them.

Kersten looked up from the newspaper at Narielian, who was sitting at the corner of the table.

Cedric laughed as he came out of the kitchen and placed breakfast in front of Nalilian, "Lillian, why are you sitting so far away?"

"..." Nalilian looked at the breakfast in front of her and said, "Sed, aren't you going back?"

"I told Mom and Dad that I'd come to your house to take care of you for a few days. They were very happy."

"..."

"Nakston, aren't you going out today?"

"No, I've already taken care of things over there and will be home for the next few days."

"..."

Even more powerless.

Nalilian even felt that they were just making fun of her by confessing their feelings to her.

She couldn't help but ask, "Are you two doing this to me just to be together?"

"What are you talking about," Cedric said helplessly, placing the hot milk that had been poured on the table next to her plate.

Kersten passed her a peeled grapefruit on a plate and replied, "Eat."

Nalilian felt even more aggrieved.

After dinner, Kerston took out the crystal ball and TV and started discussing the next improvements with Cedric in the living room.

Nalilian was doing her homework nearby, glancing at them as she finished some of her homework.

They were discussing how to use magic to transmit data between two devices using an optical cable.

The professionalism of the discussions and the use of vocabulary that she completely didn't understand made Na Lilian feel like she was from that old era.

Is the wizarding world's industrial revolution about to be born before her eyes?

When she took another peek, Kerston stood up suddenly. Nalilian quickly lowered her head, but she saw his figure getting closer and closer from the corner of her eye. She tensed her body and prepared to be yelled at, until Kerston walked to her and touched her face with the back of his hand.

"...I'm sorry, I shouldn't have peeked. I'll go back to my room and do my homework right away."

Nalilian immediately picked up her homework and ran away, not even daring to look at Said.

Kersten watched her run back upstairs to her room.

Cedric also watched her run, and waited until Nalilian closed the door before saying, "Don't scare her like that."

Kersten looked back at him, "Do you care?"

"Of course I care," Cedric said, looking at the fiber optic cable sample in his hand. "When I saw you touching Lillian, I really wanted to curse you."

"You took her away from me and you still show off in front of me."

"If it wasn't Lillian's choice, I would have taken her away from you."

But what he feared more was that between him and Kersten, Lillian would not choose him.

Kersten lowered his eyes, "She won't leave me."

He has been confirmed.

"Do we have to sleep together tonight?"

When she finished washing up in the evening and lay down on the bed to get ready for sleep, with Kerston and Cedric sitting beside her, she raised her hand and asked this question.

Kerston was reading a newspaper and Cedric was reading a professional book on optical cables. When they heard her words, they looked at her.

Cedric looked at her and asked, "Who do you want to sleep with then?"

Kerston also spoke up, "The bed in my room is empty."

Nalilian: "...Don't you feel embarrassed? Like seeing each other's faces or something."

Cedric shook his head, "It's nothing. Have you forgotten that we were in the same dormitory before?"

Keston: “I don’t think so.”

Nalilian silently put her hand down and stated her purpose with a sullen face, "I want to sleep alone."

"You sleepwalk in the middle of the night," Kersten gave an excuse to dismiss it and continued reading the newspaper.

"Ah?" Nalilian was shocked.

"Sleepwalking is dangerous, Lillian," Cedric continued, stroking her hair. "What if you accidentally bump into something and get hurt?"

"You still need someone to be with you."

"You must be kidding," Nalilian didn't believe it.

Will she sleepwalk?

"Actually, I saw it before in the hotel," Cedric said, feeling a little hot behind his ears.

This was the first time he deceived Lillian for his own purposes.

"Really?" Narilean asked, still unconvinced. "Then why didn't Hermione and Parvati ever tell me?"

If she was sleepwalking, they would definitely warn her.

“It started at the end of last semester,” Kersten said.

Nalilian subconsciously wanted to refute, but when she thought of what happened at the end of last semester, she stopped talking, curled up in the thin blanket and closed her eyes.

Cedric paused and looked at Kerston thoughtfully.

After Nalilian fell asleep, Cedric put down his book, looked at Kersten and asked, "What happened at the end of last semester?"

Why would Lillian care enough to stop dwelling on whether she was sleepwalking when Kersten mentioned this?

"At the end of last term," Kersten began, putting down the newspaper and giving Lillian a soundproofing charm, "she started losing her magic."

Also started to lose the system.

Cedric was stunned and frowned, "How could you lie to her in such a way?"

Lillian was already concerned about this matter and tried every possible means to hide it from him, but here he was, exposing her scars.

"Ced," Kersten said, without answering his question, "Lillian told me that she felt she was no longer worthy of you after losing her magic—"

"Don't be ridiculous," Cedric interrupted him and said seriously, "I'm not leaving Lillian."

"This is something I decided when I knew she was starting to lose her magic."

It will never change.

Kersten looked at him and said, "Your feelings are incomprehensible to others."

"I can't understand you any more," said Cedric.

How could he fall in love with Lillian?

Kerston: "Lillian is by no means the best choice for you to be around."

"There are many admirers of yours who are better than Lillian and more beneficial to you than Lillian."

Cedric was so angry that he laughed, "You really are worthy of being called an investment expert. You are so good at choosing and comparing."

"What about you? Why don't you choose from among your suitors?"

Lillian had to come and stare at him.

Kerston didn't answer, but looked at Nalilian who was curled up towards him and grabbed the corner of his clothes after falling asleep.

Because she was his only choice.
