Marvel: Spider-Man Begins Spoilers
Chapter 803 Mutant Race
The Avengers were unaware of the Eternals' situation; they were rushing back to Earth in their spaceship.
A bald-headed figure appeared on the screen inside the spaceship, narrating about the Celestial Clan cubs.
Tony was completely bewildered. Thanos had obtained the Soul Stone, increasing the threat level once again, while they themselves were barely able to protect themselves.
If what the Ancient One said is true, then they are indeed in big trouble, because human power is insignificant to the Earth and nature!
This time, if things go wrong, 99% of humanity could really die, and only a small percentage of those who are prepared will be able to live longer.
This is even more terrifying than Thanos snapping his fingers, since Thanos only randomly wipes out 50%, while the will of Earth can wipe out at least 99% of humanity.
Gamora asked, "Strange, did the Ancient One say the exact location of that Celestial child?"
On the screen, Strange's head peeked out from the side.
"No! She doesn't know either. We'll have to find out for ourselves!"
"God! This is like looking for a needle in a haystack!" Banner sighed and couldn't help but shake his head.
The man with the bald head said, "I've activated all the satellites in the world to search, hoping to find a clue! How much longer until you're back?"
"One day! This damn planet Vormir is so remote!" Rocket heard the voice and turned around to shout.
"We'll search with all our might and return as quickly as possible!"
Rod looked at Wanda beside him.
"Wanda, if you team up with Strange, can you open a portal?"
Wanda shook her head.
"No! The distance is far too far; it's beyond my capabilities."
"Okay! Then we'll have to go back the way we came. Hopefully, humanity will still exist when we get back..."
While everyone was discussing, Sharon Carter knocked on Baldy's door.
"Sir! I think you'd better take a look at this!"
"What?" The man with the bald head turned around and took the tablet from her hand.
"what is this?"
"We've discovered some strange creatures in northern Alaska! And they've wiped out all the humans in the surrounding area!"
Sharon Carter explained, and the man with the bald head narrowed his eyes and projected the image onto the big screen.
On the snow-white ice plains of the polar regions, some monsters were captured on satellite images.
"We originally wanted to see if there were any signs of melting in the Arctic ice caps, but we had an unexpected discovery."
"What is this? It doesn't look like a creature from Earth!" Baldy looked at Strange, hoping the magic master could offer some insight.
Strange frowned. He had never seen this creature before, and the satellite images were not clear enough.
"Aren't there any high-precision satellites over there? This photo is too blurry!"
He examined it carefully and realized he couldn't tell what it was, so he asked a question.
"They are being deployed. The satellites in the North and South Poles are mostly weather satellites, and it will take some time for satellites with high-resolution imaging capabilities to arrive."
Hill suggested, "Should we go take a look? Maybe it's a new species created by the Earth's will. If extreme disasters can't wipe out humanity, then it might rely on this kind of creature."
"Inform Natasha, I need her help!"
Strange felt he couldn't just leave a group of strange creatures on Earth unattended; he'd better go and check on the situation.
Meanwhile, Icarus brought Ajak to the northernmost part of Alaska.
They arrived at the edge of the cliff and saw a group of revived mutants.
"These mutants have been frozen underground for hundreds of years. Now, due to the awakening of the gods, the earth's crust is warming up and the glaciers are melting, breaking free of their seal and killing all the oil workers in the surrounding area!"
"I tracked them here, and now you're telling me, are you really going to help humanity?"
Ajax turned to look at him, his eyes filled with unwavering determination. "Yes!"
Upon hearing this, Icarus's eyes showed some regret, but then his resolve hardened.
“I suspected before that you had changed your mind and wouldn’t carry out the plan. I can’t let you betray Arithm!”
Ajax asked, "Why don't you kill me yourself?"
Icarus looked up at the sky. "He reminded the Avengers that if our people unite with the Avengers, we might actually be able to prevent the birth of Tiamuto. So I need to find them something to do!"
"When they realize something's wrong with Earth, they'll come looking for you. They'll find your body and know they've returned. That will keep them busy until the Awakening of God ends!"
He slowly walked up to Ajax and stared into her eyes.
“I have always been loyal to you, Ajak! I have kept your secrets for centuries, deceiving everyone I cared about! But I have never doubted my mission to serve the Celestials!”
"Oh! Icarus!"
Ajak's eyes reddened slightly as he reached out and stroked his cheek. "I led you astray!"
"This is the only way I know!"
After saying that, he forcefully pushed Ajax off the cliff.
Compared to other Eternals, Ajak's ability is healing, a support-type ability, and she has no ability to fight directly. Facing these terrifying mutants, she has no chance of winning!
Icarus stood atop the cliff, watching Ajak desperately flee below, pursued relentlessly by the mutants.
But Ajax never expected that there was a mutant in the cave, and that it was their leader, Kro.
Caught off guard, Ajax was pierced through by several tentacles.
Icarus was watching this scene from afar, but the next second he keenly sensed movement ahead and immediately hid behind a tree.
A golden portal opened above the cliff, and Strange and Natasha, wielding Mjolnir, emerged.
"What happened here?" Natasha stepped out of the portal, not noticing Icarus not far behind her, and focused her gaze on the bottom of the cliff.
"Wait! Look over there!" Christine spotted Ajak immediately, who was being captured and having his energy drained.
Natasha's pupils contracted, and without hesitation, she swung out the Meow Hammer.
Strange drew circles with his hands to open a portal, through which Mjolnir passed and slammed into Crow's head, sending him flying.
Having had most of his energy drained, Ajak collapsed to the ground, barely breathing.
"Rescue her!" Strange gave the order without turning his head. The Levitation Cloak automatically carried him into the air, where he began to gather magic to deal with the mutants below.
Christine didn't hesitate either, decisively using the portal opened by Strange to bring the dying Ajax over with a magical rope.
A mutant tried to pounce, but had one of its claws severed by the closed portal.
