Marvel: Spider-Man Begins Spoilers

Chapter 799 The Crowd Scattered with the Wind

The next second, Thanos returned to reality. The Infinity Gauntlet was emitting wisps of white smoke and showed obvious signs of burning damage, clearly indicating that snapping his fingers had been a significant burden on the gauntlet.

Thor, watching Thanos's actions, demanded, "What have you done? What have you done?!"

Thanos was also somewhat bewildered. Looking at the severely damaged Infinity Gauntlet, he ignored Thor's questions and decisively used the Space Stone to teleport himself away, leaving only Stormbreaker on the ground.

Looking at Stormbreaker, its blade still stained with Thanos's purple blood, Thor had no idea what Thanos had done.

Captain America emerged, clutching his ribs, and looked at Thor, asking, "Where did he go?"

He looked around but couldn't see Thanos. "Thor! Where did he go?"

Thor looked up at him, but before he could speak, Bucky called out from the other side, "Steve?"

The two turned to look at him and saw Bucky's body dissipating in the wind, collapsing to the ground and turning into dust. His gun also fell to the ground.

Captain America walked in disbelief to the spot where Bucky had disappeared, knelt down, and touched the ground.

Meanwhile, large numbers of Wakanda warriors began to dissipate on the battlefield, leaving everyone somewhat bewildered as they watched this scene unfold.

T'Challa, the Black Panther, rushed to Okoye's side and cried out, "Get up! General! Get up! You can't die here!"

[Okoye had just grabbed his hand when T'Challa's arm turned to dust. The sudden turn of events caused her to lose her grip and fall to the ground, watching helplessly as T'Challa disappeared before her eyes.]

Okoye stared wide-eyed at the dust that T'Challa had turned into, dispersing in the air, his face filled with disbelief.

"Your Majesty?"

"I am Groot!" Rocket Raccoon watched as the little tree Groot, clinging to the tree trunk, drifted away.

"No! No! No! No! No!" Rocket couldn't believe his eyes. He staggered towards Groot's location, his repeated "No!"s revealing his panic.

"Groot! No!!!" Rocket tried to grab him, but Groot vanished into thin air.

Wanda, who was grieving as she examined Vision's body, also began to dissipate. She said nothing, only sighed and looked up at the sky.

[Just as Falcon Sam tried to get up from the ground, he turned to dust. Behind him, Rhodes was searching for him.]

"Sam? Sam! Where have you been?"

On Titan

The defeated group regrouped. Star-Lord helped Mendis up, and Spider-Man helped the injured Tony up from the ground.

Suddenly, Mandis sensed something: "Something's happened!"

Tony looked up at her upon hearing this, only to find that she had suddenly vanished into thin air.

Before anyone could react, Drax's arm also began to turn to dust.

He only had time to glance at Star-Lord and say, "Quill?" before vanishing from his spot.

Star-Lord was panting heavily, unaware of what had happened.

Tony reassured him, "Calm down, Quill!"

[“Oh man!!!” Then Star-Lord disappeared as well.]

"Tony!"

Tony turned to look at Strange behind him, hoping to get some answers from him.

Unfortunately, Strange didn't tell him anything, only shook his head and said, "We have no other choice!"

He then vanished.

Before Tony could figure out what was going on, Spider-Man's spider-sense started alarming wildly.

"Mr. Stark?"

Tony turned his head and saw Spider-Man hugging him tightly, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. His spider-sense had alerted him to his impending disappearance much earlier than others.

"I feel terrible!"

He stumbled toward Tony and collapsed into his arms.

"I...I don't know what happened? I don't know...you have to..."

Spider-Man clung tightly to Tony, his voice trembling with tears, "I don't want to die! I don't want to die! Sir! Plesae! Please! I don't want to die! I really don't want to die!"

Tony knelt down, pulling him close, and laid him flat on the ground.

Spider-Man glanced at Tony one last time and said, "I'm sorry!"

[Then, right before Tony's eyes, he turned to dust.]

Tony was devastated that Spider-Man was dead; he sat there, frozen, unsure what to do.

Nebula, who had been silently observing everything, finally spoke up: "He succeeded!"

Upon hearing this, Tony lowered his head, slightly distraught, and covered his mouth with his hand, seemingly lost in thought.

"This must be the Scintillation Incident! They disappeared for five years, and then we brought them back!" Captain America took a deep breath.

Tony downed his drink in one gulp. "The important thing is! How did we do that?"

"Find Thanos! Take the Infinity Gauntlet back from him, then snap your fingers and bring everyone back!" The bald man squinted.

Banner said, "Yeah! That guy can't keep his eyes open all the time. He has times when he sleeps or relaxes. Scott doesn't seem to disappear in the footage. Maybe he's the key to getting the glove back!"

Rhodes nodded in agreement, "That makes sense! Thanos won't notice an ant-like thing approaching him on the ground, which might be one of the factors that led to our success!"

Sam said, "You mean we spent five years devising a plan to successfully retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos, and then Banner snapped his fingers to bring everyone back?"

"Yes! Then we started a new war, but in the end we still lost. In desperation, Tony sacrificed himself and snapped his fingers to destroy Thanos! That makes perfect sense!"

Barton asked in bewilderment, "But that doesn't explain why Natasha needed to sacrifice herself to obtain the Soul Stone. Did Thanos return the Soul Stone? That shouldn't be the case!"

Natasha nodded. "Yes! That doesn't make sense. There might be other factors we don't know about. After all, it took five whole years. This plan must be flawless. Thanos wouldn't just sit idly by. There might be some things we can't predict in the meantime."

Captain America's expression was serious. "But this plan is useless now. If Thanos makes a move, he will never give us any chance to turn the tide, so we absolutely cannot lose!"

Star-Lord comforted him, "We're not the only ones who're worried right now; other civilizations are too. They definitely won't let Thanos succeed so easily!"

Upon hearing this, everyone glared at him. Although they knew that whether Star-Lord intervened or not would not affect the outcome, they were still somewhat resentful of his incompetent behavior.

Star-Lord shrank back, momentarily speechless.
