Gold Medal Sweetheart

Chapter 59 Take a Walk with Me

Although they had chosen the restaurant randomly, the food was good, so Jin Taize and Tang Xin finished their meals almost immediately. They packed up their belongings and walked to the counter to pay. Tang Xin spoke first, "Table A06, check."

The cashier smiled and said, "This week is our store's tenth anniversary. Customers whose license plates end in 9 can get a free meal."

Tang Xin smiled and politely declined the cashier's kind offer: "Thank you, I don't have a car, so I'll just pay the original price."

"Is this okay?" Jin Taize's pleasant voice made Tang Xin turn around in surprise. He took out the vehicle license from his suit pocket and handed it to the waiter, who quickly checked it and said, "No problem, you can get it for free."

Tang Xin couldn't believe her ears. This was too lucky. Her eyes were filled with excitement, "This is also possible!" She never knew what kind of car he drove, and she had never noticed the last license plate number of his car. Now she looked at Jin Taize excitedly, "You are so kind!"

Although Tang Xin's unprocessed flattery was simple and crude, it pleased Jin Taize very much and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

Tang Xin said somewhat embarrassedly, "I'm sorry. I said I was treating you to a meal, but I still owe you so much credit. This time doesn't count. I'll treat you again next time!"

"It's settled then," Jin Taize said as he put his driver's license into the inner pocket of his suit and walked out of the restaurant. "But next time you want to treat me, it's up to me what you want to eat." His tone was joking but there was a hint of seriousness in it.

Tang Xin followed with a smile, patting her chest and saying, "No problem, leave it to me." Seeing that she was speaking sincerely, Jin Taize's steps became lighter. "Are you willing to do it?" Jin Taize didn't seem to want to end the topic easily.

"As long as it's within my ability, I will make sure you're satisfied." Tang Xin made an OK gesture with her hand.

"It's definitely within your ability, but you have to save some money first," Jin Taize walked towards the elevator, "I want a big one." The angle of his lips curled up in an unusually seductive way.

Want a full banquet? Tang Xin trotted over to catch up.

Walking to the elevator, Tang Xin pressed the down button and looked at the changing numbers. She suddenly seemed to remember something and looked up at Jin Taize with a smile, "But how come you have your driving license with you?" Although she had doubts, she did not delve into it. She felt that they were too lucky today, so she was not eager to know the answer.

Jin Taize didn't expect that the outspoken Tang Xin would ask such a question, but he remained calm on the surface. "There was a traffic police inspection on the road, and I put it in my pocket." After saying that, he walked into the elevator.

"That's really lucky." Tang Xin followed him into the elevator and had no doubt about Jin Taize's calm explanation.

The cashier in the restaurant held his chin with one hand, looked at the direction where the two people walked away, and said with infinite melancholy: "When can I meet such a handsome and considerate man?"

The waiter who had just been serving the food came over and craned his neck to look out. "He's handsome, sure, but how considerate was he when it came to paying the bill?"

The cashier rested her head on her raised wrist. "That man just came over and arranged with me that there was a free meal promotion for those who showed their driver's license, but he had already paid for it."

The elevator descended silently.

Tang Xin felt a little guilty, "This guest is a bit of a name without substance."

"Isn't it real to have enough to eat and drink?" Jin Taize put his hands in his trouser pockets, lowered his head deliberately, and bent over to look at Tang Xin's full stomach.

Tang Xin felt even more embarrassed. Before she could reply, the elevator had already reached the first floor. It was right at the entrance of the mall, and Tang Xin thought, since it was such a coincidence, why not just say goodbye? Just as she was about to say goodbye, Jin Taize, looking at the still bustling crowd outside, suggested, "If you want to repay the favor, why not come shopping with me?" Tang Xin looked at Jin Taize with wide eyes, seemingly filled with question marks.

"The Lan River is not far away. I haven't come here for a walk and enjoy the night view for many years." Jin Taize retracted his gaze to the distance, and looked at Tang Xin with a pair of deep eyes engraved in his bones, as if he could decipher all her questions, and the pressure he brought with him made it impossible for her to say a negative answer.

The Lan River is full of lights at night, and the arrival of spring has brought new life to the river.

Boat tours are now open again.

In the middle of the river, a few sightseeing boats, adorned with charming lights, cruised leisurely. Along the shore, streetlights with a distinctly Chinese charm spoke volumes about the city's history and culture. In the distance, the striking contrast between the uniquely designed modern buildings and the streetlights on the shoreline created a striking visual impact, signaling that this is a city that keeps pace with the times.

On the pedestrian street across the river, there are some stalls selling snacks and amusement rides. It is crowded and very lively.

Tang Xin and Jin Taize strolled along the sidewalk by the river, neither of them speaking.

On the sidewalk, people were walking their dogs, fishing, and jogging. Seeing the relaxed expressions of the people on the road, and the gentle breeze, neither too warm nor too dry, Tang Xin suddenly felt calm and peaceful. She clasped her hands behind her, turned around, took two steps back, and faced Jin Taize. She raised her head and took a deep breath, "It feels so good."
