God's Gift

Chapter 551 Reunion (2)

After lying in the pile of ginkgo leaves for a long time, Yu Youyou felt an itch on her neck. She looked at Lu Keming's arm, which was tightly holding her, his fingers clenched, and she endured it.

After a while, the itching became more and more obvious, and even began to crawl up her back.

Yu Youyou's eyes widened, and she suddenly sat up, reaching behind her to scratch.

Lu Keming was still lying on the ground, his eyes still somewhat vacant, his gaze unconsciously following Yu Youyou.

A few seconds later, Yu Youyou pulled a gecko out of her clothes.

“…You naughty guy.” Yu Youyou smiled and squinted her eyes, greeting the gecko in her hand before tossing it into the ginkgo leaves.

She took Lu Keming's hand and pulled him up from the ground.

Lu Keming's gaze was fixed on Yu Youyou. At this moment, he seemed to have become Yu Youyou's personal puppet, and he only knew how to follow her wherever she did.

Yu Youyou brushed the ginkgo leaves off her clothes and then turned around to pick a leaf from Lu Keming's hair.

Lu Keming bent down, buried his head in Youyou's neck again, and took a deep breath.

How do I get back?

Yu Youyou looked at Lu Keming, who was pressed tightly against her, and took a step back. Lu Keming followed her and took a step forward.

Yu Youyou's eyes lit up, and she stepped back again.

The two of them awkwardly took several steps back.

After walking several dozen meters, Lu Keming asked in a muffled voice, "Youyou, what are we doing?"

"Going home," Yu Youyou answered matter-of-factly.

Seeing Yu Youyou retreat, Lu Keming realized what she was doing. His ears turned slightly red, and he quickly wrapped his arms around her waist. The black mist beneath their feet rose with the wind, and a black hole appeared along with the mist.

The two stepped into the black hole and appeared inside the Lu family castle the next second.

Yu Youyou stared at the marble floor beneath her feet, her eyes wide with surprise. "Ke Ming, you've already mastered the power of Dark Star."

“Yes…” Lu Keming was still holding Yu Youyou, and murmured softly, “After all, it has been a long time.”

Yu Youyou paused slightly, her gaze softening as she gently stroked Lu Keming's back.

Her gaze swept around, taking in the familiar decorations of the Lu family castle, before finally settling on a boy who was staring at them in astonishment.

Ye Yucheng's mouth was agape, big enough to fit an apple. He stared intently at Yu Youyou and uttered in a daze, "Fairy Sister."

Yu Youyou's gaze swept over his silver armor, and her eyes lit up: "Wow...so cool."

Lu Keming turned his head to look at Ye Yucheng, who was sitting upright, narrowed his eyes, and turned to block Yu Youyou's figure.

Unexpectedly, Yu Youyou became interested in Ye Yucheng. She stepped out of Lu Keming's embrace, walked up to Ye Yucheng, bent down, and asked:

"Kid, what's your name?"

"My name is Ye Yucheng, Fairy Sister!" Ye Yucheng quickly straightened her crooked armor and continued her introduction:

"I am the youngest psychic at the Songbird Academy, and the youngest warrior in the world. I am about to embark on an adventure to Utar..."

He paused, bowed in a knightly salute, took Yu Youyou's hand, and prepared to kiss it: "My esteemed fairy sister, would you be interested in embarking on an adventurous journey with me?"

Lu Keming slapped Ye Yucheng's chubby hand away with a whoosh, "Stay away from my wife."

"The fairy sister is the divine messenger's wife!" Ye Yucheng's eyes widened as she looked at Yu Youyou in disbelief, then at Lu Keming:

"But Your Excellency, you are already so old, how can you marry such a young and beautiful fairy sister?"

Lu Keming gritted his teeth, his smile sinister: "I'm old?"

"Of course!" Ye Yucheng retorted without backing down, "Your hair is all white, of course you're old!"

Lu Keming suddenly looked at his silver hair, his chest heaving violently a few times. Then he looked at Yu Youyou, who looked exactly the same as when they parted, his gaze dimmed, and he awkwardly tucked his silver hair behind his back.

“If that’s the case,” Yu Youyou glanced at the dejected Lu Keming, then looked at Ye Yucheng, and replied with a smile, “I’m quite old too.”

"How is that possible?" Ye Yucheng's voice was full of disbelief.

“Really.” Yu Youyou’s smile remained unchanged as she stared at Ye Yucheng with her eyes crinkling. “I am five thousand years older than the Divine Envoy.”

Ye Yucheng paused for a few seconds, then silently raised her hand and counted on her fingers, "The Divine Envoy is already tens of thousands of years old, and the Fairy Sister is five thousand years older than the Divine Envoy..."

Ye Yucheng's mind went blank because of this math problem, and soon he started seeing stars.

Lu Keming looked at Ye Yucheng with disdain: "With someone like you at Mingniao Academy, the future is truly bleak."

"My Lord, how could you say that!"

Before Ye Yucheng could finish speaking, Lu Keming had already led the fairy sister far away, leaving him alone standing in the same spot, still struggling to calculate.

After a long while, watching Lu Keming and Yu Youyou walk away hand in hand, he seemed to remember something and suddenly called out to Lu Keming:

"My Lord! Will you tell me a bedtime story tonight?"

"I haven't heard a bedtime story since you left, and I can't sleep well at night now!"

His response was Lu Keming's indifferent voice: "You're already ten years old, not three."

Ye Yucheng scratched his head, "Didn't you have bedtime stories when you were ten?"

Yu Youyou raised her eyebrows and looked at Lu Keming with great interest: "And bedtime stories?"

Lu Keming nodded, took Yu Youyou's hand, and led her up the stairs. He opened a door to a room and began explaining Ye Yucheng's identity:

"He is the last bloodline of Shen Minghua and Ye Li in this world."

“I know.” Yu Youyou showed no surprise. She stopped, looking at the room with its soft wool carpet.

“He has the aura of Ali and Minghua, and his eyes are very similar to Ali’s.”

“His parents passed away not long after he was born.” Lu Keming bent down to take off Yu Youyou’s muddy shoes, carried her into the house, and said as he walked:

"When I found him, he was still crawling on the ground."

“I didn’t know how to take care of the child either. He was always crying and wouldn’t go to sleep, and I remembered you saying that when you were little, your mother would tell you stories to lull you to sleep.”

He had never raised a child before, so he could only recall the details Yu Youyou had told him about her mother and how he managed to raise Ye Yucheng to this age.

Yu Youyou sat down on the soft bed, causing the plush toys on the bed to fall to one side. She looked up at Lu Keming:

"But... is he the only one?"
