HP: Let professors walk towards the light
Chapter 103 Reina's Rebirth 9
"Are you tired?" Lena suddenly asked him.
"What?" Draco frowned.
"Are you tired of the task he assigned to you?" Lena was still looking outside.
"I do not know what you're talking about."
"Don't be nervous, it's just concern from a friend. I won't interfere in your affairs." Reina said casually.
"I really don't understand what you are thinking. You don't look like a Slytherin at all." Draco's frown relaxed. He looked at Reina, her brown-gray hair blown by the wind and her fair face red from the cold. It was the first time he looked at her so carefully.
"So, why am I in Slytherin?" Reina couldn't help but sneer.
They both stopped talking at the same time, and Draco imitated Lena and put his hands on the railing.
After a long while, he spoke slowly.
“What should I do if I’m tired?”
"I do not know either."
"Aren't you here to comfort me?" Draco said helplessly, his face supported by his hands.
"It was just a chance encounter." Lena shrugged, "But, Draco."
Lena looked at Draco's face. There were deep shadows under his eyes and even his skin looked gray.
"I can listen to it. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. The thing I can hide best is a secret."
"Humph, ridiculous." Draco snorted coldly, and then continued: "Do you know the identity of Professor Snape?"
"A Death Eater, is that so? He's back at Voldemort's side."
"It seems that you are really good at hiding." Draco showed a hint of surprise on his face.
"I do have a mission, which of course cannot be disclosed. However, it seems that someone has already suspected me."
"Potter. He heard what you said. In fact, in my opinion, those words were not insignificant to you at all. You were too careless." Lena sighed.
"Perhaps. I can only go on. Did you know about Slughorn's party that day?"
"Yes. Blaise invited me to go with him, but I declined. Slughorn looked down on me because I had nothing. I would be a laughing stock if I went. Blaise went with his new girlfriend."
"I didn't receive an invitation either. He looked down on me as a Death Eater, and that Nott guy too. I took advantage of the fact that there were few people around that day, but was caught by Filch. Snape was also at the ball, and he took the opportunity to take me away and warn me. Then I learned that he had made an Unbreakable Vow with my mother, swearing to my mother that he would protect me." Draco began to frown again.
"Your mother is worried about you. She will be very sad."
"I don't think I need his help. I can do it with my own strength. This is a good opportunity for me to prove my ability to him. I have a plan and it will take a little time, but father is still waiting for me..." Draco's voice was a little hoarse.
"Your mother's concerns are not unreasonable. Even if you don't trust Snape, you can trust the Unbreakable Curse. If you are worried that he will take away your credit, I don't think that's the case."
"You're still so...concerned about him."
"Yes. But he can't see me anymore."
"I'm sorry to bring up this topic." Draco looked away, somewhat at a loss.
"It doesn't matter. I haven't found something I agree with yet, but, Draco, I hope you can find it."
Reina brushed off the snow that had fallen on her sleeves.
"The right thing to do is to listen to your heart and not let yourself regret it, Draco. Good luck to you."
Lena stopped accompanying Draco in the snow and walked down the tower.
"Thank you, and good luck to you too." Draco's voice came from above Lena's head and echoed in the stairs.
?
Reina took the Apparition training class, and even though she wasn't in seventh grade yet, she would be seventeen in June, and the notice only required it to be before September.
This is a twelve-week course and the instructors will be provided by the Ministry of Magic.
This magic is indeed difficult to learn, and they don't allow students to practice it privately because it can easily disintegrate.
All the registered students were placed in the hall. In addition to the teachers, the deans of the four colleges were all there, and even Madam Pomfrey was waiting nearby.
It’s just a pity that even if one is proficient in spells, no one can learn this kind of advanced magic in the first class.
However, it is worth affirming that Reina's progress is quite fast.
Time passed quickly, and the students of Hogwarts could only learn about the chaos in the outside world through the Daily Prophet. Wizards kept disappearing, including relatives of Hogwarts students.
Even Katie Bell, who was persecuted in Hogsmeade village before, is still lying in St. Mungo's and has not returned.
However, Reina heard another noteworthy thing. Ron Weasley of Gryffindor, Potter's good brother, was poisoned in Slughorn's office.
Slughorn was a Death Eater who wanted to poison Potter but poisoned the wrong person? Lena would not believe such rumors. In her opinion, Slughorn was just a coward, and he didn't have the courage to poison so blatantly under his real name.
However, Reina thought of Bell who was infected by the dark magic, and Draco's mission...
In other words, the Dark Lord planned to let a student kill Dumbledore?
Apart from Dumbledore and Potter, she couldn't think of anyone whose death in Hogwarts would benefit Voldemort the most. However, according to what Potter had said to her before, Voldemort would rather fight Potter alone in the cemetery than let the Death Eaters intervene, allowing Potter to escape successfully, which was enough to show his arrogance. Therefore, Potter was definitely the one that Voldemort had to deal with personally.
However, asking Draco to kill Dumbledore is as unrealistic as asking Weasley to go undercover and kill Voldemort.
It can be seen that the dark magic necklace and poison are the only solutions Draco can think of. Unfortunately, they didn't even see Dumbledore. Now, Reina understood why Mrs. Malfoy made an unbreakable oath to let Snape protect Draco.
Draco's thoughts were so easy to guess. His worries were all written on his face. Even if Potter didn't hear the conversation, he would probably be able to guess that something was wrong with him.
Reina was very suspicious. What would happen if Draco failed to complete the task? What would Professor Snape do then? He could not guarantee that he could protect Draco from Voldemort. I hope that the oath he and Mrs. Malfoy made did not include Voldemort.
Assuming Draco completed the task and Dumbledore really died unexpectedly, what would happen to Hogwarts? Would she also consider the possibility of becoming a Death Eater?
But Cedric Diggory...
Reina thought of that outstanding young man again. He was already the same age as her.
The bloodthirsty Voldemort will not have a good ending.
His fate should not be like that.
