Day 8, Si Group Headquarters.

"Mr. Si? Mr. Si!" Financial Director Wang Ming raised his voice for the third time, finally waking Si Yehan from his distraction.

"Sorry, please continue." Si Yehan rubbed his temples and forced himself to concentrate. But within five minutes, his eyes drifted out the window again. The sun shone through the glass window, casting a shadow on the conference table. In a trance, he seemed to see Gu Wan sitting there, blinking at him.

"Mr. Si, regarding the third quarter's budget..." The marketing manager stopped talking halfway. Everyone looked at Si Yehan in horror - their CEO actually stretched out his hand to the air during an important meeting!

Si Yehan suddenly woke up and found that everyone in the conference room was staring at him. He withdrew his hand, his face terribly gloomy: "The meeting will be suspended for ten minutes." After saying that, he strode out of the conference room.

Cold water from the bathroom splashed on his face. Si Yehan looked at himself in the mirror, his eyes bloodshot. He had never thought that the principles he insisted on would lead him to this situation. He had endured it for seven or eight nights in a row, and this restraint had pushed his body and mind to the limit.

"Two days left..." He muttered to himself in the mirror, not knowing whether he was convincing himself or warning himself.

After returning to the conference room, Si Yehan forced himself to finish the meeting. But everyone noticed his abnormality - this business emperor, who was always known for his calmness and self-control, was distracted today and even called the wrong department name twice.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Si Yehan canceled all remaining schedules and left the company early. He needed to go home and see Gu Wan, even if it was just to sit quietly beside her.

However, when he opened the door, he was greeted by silence. Gu Wan was nowhere to be found at home. Just as Si Yehan was wondering, he received a message from Gu Wan on his phone: "I'm out. The doctor asked me to go for a follow-up check."

The doctor originally asked her to go for a follow-up check-up the day after tomorrow, but she insisted on going today.

Si Yehan stood in the middle of the empty living room, suddenly feeling an unprecedented irritation. He untied his tie and unbuttoned the top two buttons, but still felt short of breath.

Just then, his phone rang again. It was a photo sent by Gu Wan - a photo of her and the wedding dress in the glass window.

She stood outside the glass window, her smile as bright as the sun. A message was attached under the photo: "So beautiful! I really want to be your bride right away."

Si Yehan stared at the screen of his phone, feeling the blood rushing down his body. He replied almost tremblingly: "Waiting for you at home." After sending this message, he walked straight to the wine cabinet, poured a glass of whiskey and drank it all in one gulp.

The alcohol failed to calm his restlessness, but instead made him imagine Gu Wan in a wedding dress. Si Yehan put down his wine glass and decided to take another cold shower - this was the third time today.

When Gu Wan returned home humming a little tune, she found the whole villa strangely quiet. She walked upstairs in confusion and opened the bedroom door, but was stunned by the scene in front of her -

Si Yehan was standing in front of the window in his nightgown. He turned around when he heard the voice. There was a fire burning in his eyes that Gu Wan had never seen before. His voice was so low that it almost made her tremble: "Wan Wan, I surrender."

Before Gu Wan could react, Si Yehan came over and picked her up and threw her on the bed. He leaned over her, his hot breath spraying in her ears: "You win, I can't wait any longer."

Gu Wan opened her eyes wide, looking at the man's out-of-control expression, and said with a smile: "Wouldn't it be better if you did this earlier?" She put her arms around his neck, "But I like the way you lose control for me."

"I promise I'll be... gentle..." Si Yehan panted.

“No need…” She took out the review form from her pocket, “Today, I must have a good time…”

Si Yehan carefully read the words on the review form, his eyes sparkling. This time he would never give her any chance.

The morning light shines into the bedroom through the gauze curtains, casting mottled shadows on the floor.

Gu Wan woke up in a daze, his whole body seemed to have been torn apart and reassembled, and every inch of his skin was filled with memories of last night's madness.

She moved her body slightly and immediately felt the arm tightening around her waist.

"Awake?" Si Yehan's voice was hoarse from waking up in the morning, and his warm breath sprayed on the back of her neck.

Gu Wan turned around and met his dark eyes. There were too many emotions in those eyes that she couldn't read, but they made her feel inexplicably at ease.

She snuggled into his arms, resting her cheek on his bare chest, listening to his strong heartbeat.

"Hmm..." She responded vaguely, her voice a little hoarse from overuse last night.

Si Yehan laughed softly, and the vibration of his chest reached her ears. His slender fingers passed through her messy long hair, gently combing the tangled hair. "Does it hurt?" he asked, his voice filled with laziness after being satisfied and a hint of imperceptible worry.

Gu Wan shook her head, then nodded, and finally buried her face deeper. How could it not hurt? They tossed and turned until almost dawn, and Si Yehan seemed to want to make up for the past few days, asking for more tirelessly.

But the pain was mixed with an indescribable sense of satisfaction, as if her body wanted to possess this man more than her brain.

"I hurt you." This time it was a statement, with self-blame in Si Yehan's voice. He lifted her chin and forced her to look him in the eye. "I'll be gentler next time."

Gu Wan's face instantly burned. Next time... The word made her heart beat faster. She should have begged for mercy last night, but the moment he kissed her last night, all her rationality turned to ashes.

"Well, I..." she whispered, her fingers unconsciously drawing circles on his chest, "My body...seems to want you more than I do."

Si Yehan's eyes darkened instantly. He turned over and pressed her down, kissing her between her eyebrows, the tip of her nose, and finally on her lips. "But you have to promise me that you will only be hungry for me in this life, including every inch of your skin, which will only be hungry for me," he whispered between her lips, "just like I am hungry for you."

The kiss gradually deepened, and Gu Wan felt the familiar desire rising again. Just when she thought they were going to have another round, Si Yehan suddenly stopped.

"Gu Wan," he rarely called her by her full name, his expression so serious that her heart skipped a beat, "Let's have the wedding tomorrow."

“What…what?” Gu Wan widened his eyes, thinking he had heard wrongly.

"Wedding." Si Yehan stood up and looked at her with burning eyes. "I don't want to wait any longer. No matter what the memory is, you are you and I am me. We are destined to be together, and you can only be my bride."
