Chapter 3: The Past

Investigating apparent paranormal activity caused by the death of one of Dr. Skelton's infected patients, a raid on an abandoned building where a gang kidnapped a little girl named Skelton, and a new Black Phantom, an NYPD officer who intends to kill Moon Knight in order to replace him as vigilante to gain Detective Flint's approval.

After foiling an assassination attempt on General Aliman Lor by mercenaries hired by Spector's psychologist Elisa Warsame, Mark is intervened by Elisa, who uses hypnosis to take Khonsu from him in revenge for her.

Mark lost all of his multiple personalities, was captured and held in a secret prison, from which he managed to escape after another act of saving Elliman Lowe's life led to him being blamed for the attack. Once Khonsu gave up on Wolson, he returned to Marke's side and helped Marke finally stop her from killing Lowe.

Khonsu's Hallucination

After this series of events, Khonsu seemingly sends Mark and his allies to an illusory mental hospital designed to consume the last of Mark's thoughts, thus freeing up his body for Khonsu to inhabit and use to enter our world.

But in reality, it's all a made-up scenario to cure Mark of his insanity. In the film, Mark comes into conflict with his other personalities and realizes that to become whole again, he can't ignore them, but must embrace them. Back at the hospital, he crushes the head of an illusory Khonsu, thereby reconciling his disorder and taking control of his other personalities once and for all.

Ernst's Return

Mark repossessing Khonsu and resuming his normal life and Moon Knight persona, but unbeknownst to him, the Sun King and the Bushmen team up to kill him.

To achieve this, they go to Marlene's home and use her as leverage, but end up discovering that she and Mark have a daughter named Dietrich. They force Marlene to bring Mark to her home, where they reveal Dietrich's existence.

After a fight, the villains escape with Marlene. After bringing Dietrich to safety, Mark is contacted by the villains and forced to follow them to Isla Ra, their base of operations.

After being welcomed into the Isle of Lar, Mark engages in a spiritual battle with the Sun King, in which he succeeds in making Mark doubt everything he knows and believe that Khonsu is wrong. However, during a ritualistic battle with the Sun King, Mark once again believes in Dietrich. Mark's strength is manifested in the violent rage he uses to defeat the Sun King and destroy his spirit. After the Sun King admits defeat, Moon Knight takes his followers away.

Soon after, Moon Knight infiltrated the reunion of the cult Société des Sadiques after learning that their leader was Ernst. When Mark confronted him, Ernst revealed that he was behind their reunion and intended for Mark to join him.

After overcoming a sadistic physical fitness test, Mark's beliefs were attacked in a personal confrontation with Ernst. Spector managed to repel Ernst and kill him. Afterwards, Moon Knight joined forces with the Sun King to take down the remaining followers of the Society before they could kill Dietrich in revenge.

When a mysterious disease from Kun-Lun begins to infect Manhattan, Moon Knight is the last to arrive on the scene where some heroes kill the infected. Jessica Jones tells Moon Knight that the threat has been neutralized, but Mark informs them that another infected is wreaking havoc in the hospital.

He, along with the other heroes, tried to fight it, but it managed to spread to some of them, forcing the others to retreat. Thanks to the International League of Magic Practitioners who contained the infection with their powers, after six days of containment, the heroes didn't know what to do to cure the infected, because if it took any longer, their bodies would be eaten.

After Señor Mágico tells the heroes that the minds of the infected have entered somewhere in Urchin, Moon Knight comes up with the idea of ​​infecting himself, as his mental breakdown would allow him to free the minds of the others. Jessica protests against the idea, but when the magical control is broken, the infected attack the remaining heroes.

Moon Knight carried out his plan and allowed the virus to infect him, sending his mind into Urchin. There, he witnessed all the other infected being trapped in Urchin. After the hero Pei was infected, he freed her mind from Urchin, which allowed her to fight back from within.

Moon Knight then attempts to free the mind of the girl who becomes the second carrier, but is knocked out in the struggle. Thankfully, Pei is able to free the minds of all the infected, thus getting rid of the infection, and ultimately taking control of the remaining Urchin.

Serpent Wars

After Mark has a prophetic dream, Khonsu senses it too and orders Mark to investigate the place he saw in his dream. Upon entering the abandoned house, he sees Set worshippers digging up the grave of James Allison.

He attacked them, but during the battle, the cult disappeared and Moon Knight was sent to England in 1584, where he met Solomon Kane. Then the body of James of that era convinced them to unite against the threat of the Vipers.

After passing Northumberland, they waited for the ship Shandy to take them to their destination, but the crew had been possessed by venomous snakes. After killing the crew, they used another ship to reach Rotterdam and then to Italy.

After discovering the cult's lair, they ambushed them and obtained the bracelet, which needed to be destroyed. However, when Khonsu was able to reach Moon Knight again, the god told him that he needed to put on the bracelet. Afterwards, Moon Knight's soul was transported to eternal Egypt, where Set waited.

After Khonsu defeats Set, Moon Knight returns to his own body and travels with Solomon to Hyporia, where they meet Conan and Dark Agnes. After discovering they are all being manipulated by the Wyrm, they prepare to fight the being. During the battle, Khonsu gives Moon Knight enough power to defeat the Wyrm and return him to his own time, but a small portion of Khonsu's power remains within him.
