Chapter 456 The Experience of Molecule Man 2

Chapter 2: The Experience of Molecule Man

Owen soon found himself back in the villain's life when he was one of many villains gathered by the Beyond to fight a group of heroes in a conflict that would later be known as the Secret Wars.

Soon, he found himself aboard a ship with Galactus, the Latverian monarch Doctor Doom, the time traveler known as Kang the Conqueror, Ultron, the Absorbing Man, Doctor Octopus, Lizard, Amora, and Dirk Garthwaite's Wrecking Crew.

The heroes that come together include the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Hulk, Spider-Man, and the mutant terrorist known as Magneto.

They witnessed the Beyonder destroying entire galaxies, creating a patchwork world known as the Douworld. [3] They were suddenly attacked by Ultron, who attempted to destroy all living things on their ship, but Doom convinced Owen to use his powers to lift Ultron to Galactus, who drained Ultron's energy, rendering him powerless.

The Beyonder then spoke, telling the assembled metahumans to kill their enemies and they would be given what they desired most. Galactus and Doctor Doom attempted to confront the Beyonder directly, but were thwarted and the others were transported outside the plane.

The villains soon found a headquarters and reunited with Doctor Doom, who advised them not to follow the Beyonder's rules, but to find a way to steal his powers. When they refused, Doctor Doom attacked them and escaped. Owen, along with the other villains, tracked down Doctor Doom and found him with the assembled heroes, who attacked them.

Doctor Doom escaped during the battle, and Owen and most of the others were forced to flee the battle as the heroes were incapacitated, capturing Enchantress, Kang, and Doom Squad.

When they return to the base, they find Doctor Doom and a bodyguard, who is a reprogrammed Ultron, waiting there, and they are all forced to ally themselves with him and follow his plans. Doctor Doom discovers that Denver, Colorado is also part of the Doomverse, and chooses two women, Titannia and Marsha Rosenberg, to give them superhuman powers to strengthen their ranks.

McFerran became the power plant known as Titania, and Rosenberg became a humanoid volcano of plasma channels. Martha was immediately drawn to Owen, and the two found themselves quickly forming a relationship. Realizing Molecule Man's immense power, Doctor Doom made him his right-hand man and launched a counterattack against the heroes gathered at the headquarters, freeing their captured comrades and forcing the heroes to flee.

Owen then used his powers to destroy their base, then levitated an entire mountain and dropped it on the heroes, attempting to kill them. Likewise, when Thor reappeared with Enchantress, Owen and the others attacked, and Thor was seemingly killed by Ultron.

However, the heroes survived the attack and regrouped in a nearby village, close to the mountaintop Galactic Space Station. When Galactus summoned his massive world ship, the Taa II, to Doom to consume Earth, Doom attempted to find a way to use the ship's technology to defeat the Beyonder.

Meanwhile, Owen's relationship with Martha begins to develop, and when the Destroyer Squad attempts to bully the couple, Owen defends himself, and his display of strength scares the Squad and convinces them to respect him.

When Doctor Doom boarded the Ta'a II, he ordered his men to create a series of volcanic eruptions to distract Galactus so that Doctor Doom could continue his search for the ship unnoticed. Molecule Man joined Doctor Octopus, the Absorbing Man, and Titania on this mission. After they blocked a volcano, they encountered the X-Men.

During the battle, Owen was brutally wounded by Wolverine and they fled the scene. When Martha heard about Owen's injury, she convinced Enchantress to teleport him to her side. They were attacked again by the X-Men, but this time they forced the mutants to retreat, and when they returned to their base, Owen was rushed to the medical lab for treatment.

While Owen was recovering, She-Hulk attacked the villains' base after they seemingly killed her teammate Janet Van Dyne.

While the villains were imprisoned, when Doom was forced to consume Taa II, he first absorbed Galactus' power, and then he attacked Participant head-on, stealing most of his power. Doom then attacked the hero base, and in the ensuing chaos, the villains broke free and escaped.

Seeing Doom talking to the heroes, Owen was furious, as he believed Doom would betray them. Molecule Man fought off the heroes, then confronted Doctor Doom directly. However, he had already gained the power of the Beyonder, and Doctor Doom used his powers to remove the mental barriers that Owen had placed on himself for years, allowing him to finally control all the molecules.

At the suggestion of Martha Rosenberg, the villains regrouped in her Denver apartment to consider their next move. Owen decided to return to Earth, using his powers to build an airtight dome around Denver and pull it into space.
