My Little Pony: Another World Adventure
Chapter 66 Death Eaters are out!
With a loud bang, two figures stumbled onto the top of Azkaban. This wizard prison is a black triangular prism tower standing in the middle of the turbulent Atlantic Ocean, guarded by ancient magic and violent storms.
"Lucius." The man who spoke was a stocky man with straight gray hair cut short and serious features. He was the Auror who had been desperately trying to convict Latane in Flourish and Blotts not long ago, Dawlish.
As a loyal servant of the second generation Dark Lord, Dawlish hid his identity during the purge after Voldemort was killed by Harry Potter, and even got the position of captain of the Auror Task Force in the Ministry of Magic.
"I'm here." Malfoy responded to Dawlish's call tiredly. He had Apparated only a few steps away from the top of the tower. Apparition over such a long distance was a severe test for any wizard. If he relaxed his mind, he would be torn into pieces by magic.
After receiving Latan's order, Lucius did not impulsively go directly to Azkaban. Although he already knew that the Dementors guarding this place had become minions of the third generation of the Dark Lord, he needed help to take all the imprisoned Death Eaters away from Azkaban.
Because of this, he first Apparated to the Ministry of Magic and found Dawlish, whom he had protected during the purge that year. The two of them stole several confiscated wands from the evidence room in the Auror's office and came to Azkaban together.
Dawlish reached out and supported Lucius's shaky body, and looked around cautiously, "Without those garbage bags who feed on souls, Azkaban has become glorious." He pulled out his wand and held it horizontally in his palm, "Show me the way."
The wand turned twice in his palm, with the tip of the wand pointing straight in one direction.
Lucius watched as Dawlish tapped the featureless black stone brick with his wand, and the brick immediately moved away, revealing a narrow staircase leading downwards.
"I'm curious, Dawlish." Lucius followed Dawlish down the stairs and into the dark prison. "How do Aurors usually escort criminals here?"
"You can't see it from here," Dawlish said. "Azkaban has only one port, and only one ship that can reach it. Its name is Skidplatne. Legend has it that Loki, the god of trickery, gave this ship, built by dwarves, to Frey, the god of fertility. After Frey died in Ragnarok, the great wizard Merlin found it in the broken Asgard and turned it into part of this prison."
He chanted the Lighting Charm (Lumos), and with the white light emanating from the tip of his wand, he could see the road clearly. "The top floors of Azkaban are filled with thieves and liars, the middle floors are filled with robbers and murderers, and our colleagues are at the bottom."
Lucius snorted, supported his sore body with his cane, and walked down the steep stairs. "Don't worry about these scum. The new Dark Lord only needs his most loyal servants."
"I serve the Dark Lord himself." Dawlish gave Lucius a sharp look, "not an eleven-year-old child."
"The 'eleven-year-old child' you mentioned twisted all the Dementors in Britain into a wand. I saw it with my own eyes." Lucius shook his sleeves, revealing the Dark Mark tattooed on the inside of his forearm. "He has the Dark Lord's approval. Otherwise, do you think a child can activate our mark?"
Dawlish said nothing and silently led Lucius through the cells blocked by iron bars. The prisoners in Azkaban had long been accustomed to the darkness. When they saw the light, they covered their eyes and screamed.
Lucius looked at these scums and villains huddled in the dirty corners with disgust, a bunch of waste without ideals, maggots who made a living by committing crimes. They did not deserve to be free, let alone participate in the Dark Lord's grand plan.
His master, the powerful Latan Magnus, will create a new era!
Arriving at the bottom of the middle level of Azkaban, Dawlish used his Auror badge to break the imprisonment magic, took out a bunch of keys from a niche hidden in the wall, and stood in front of the door leading to the bottom floor.
Seeing that Dawlish was still not opening the door, Lucius urged, "What are you waiting for? If the Ministry of Magic finds out about our actions, you and I will have to get a single room here!"
"What kind of man is he, Lucius?" Dawlish's voice trembled slightly. This man who had been undercover in the Ministry of Magic for twelve years actually showed fear. "I see loyalty in your eyes. You are a fence-sitter who can betray even the Dark Lord, but you are so devoted to one person. Tell me, what kind of person is that child, that successor?"
This question made Lucius fall into deep thought. What kind of person is Latan Magnus?
Powerful? Undoubtedly.
Radical? Exactly.
But none of this could describe the feeling that Latan Magnus gave Lucius in the few meetings they had. His eyes, which shone with purple light, were so deep that they were hard to fathom, and every syllable of his deep voice was planning for a grand plan beyond imagination.
"He is even more mysterious than the 'You-Know-Who'." Lucius gave an evaluation that barely encompassed the above characteristics. "I swear to Merlin with all my magic power that no one in this world can see his thoughts clearly - oh, wait a minute."
Lucius looked at Dawlish's anxious eyes and laughed sarcastically, "I remember that you had caused trouble for him at Flourish and Blotts, so you were afraid that he would punish you! Dawlish, Dawlish, do you think our master is such a narrow-minded guy?"
Dawlish said regretfully: "If I had known then..."
"Because you don't know, you haven't done anything wrong." Lucius patted Dawlish's shoulder comfortingly, "Open the door quickly, we have more important things to do."
Dawlish turned the key, and the heavy lock and chain fell to the ground with a clang. The heavy oak door automatically moved to both sides, revealing a narrow passage that only allowed one person to pass through. The two trudged in the darkness for a long time, and the distance they descended was already higher than the height of Azkaban exposed to the sea.
The Death Eaters' prison is located below sea level.
An unknown amount of time had passed, but just when Lucius began to suspect that the steps under his feet led directly to the center of the earth, Dawlish stopped without warning and inserted the key into a featureless crack in the wall.
"Further down is the 'Gold Gallon Chasm'. No one knows how deep it is. I estimate that the process of falling alone is enough to starve a person to death." Dawlish explained.
The bricks were removed, revealing a circular space, about the size of the Hogwarts entrance hall, with walls and floors made of black stone covered with hoarfrost.
This is the bottom floor of Azkaban, the favorite place for Dementors to stay. The Death Eaters' acrimonious desire for revenge is so endless that every brick is stained with the unique coldness of Dementors.
Just stepping into this place, Lucius and Dawlish could not stop trembling, and the air they exhaled from their mouths and noses instantly turned into white mist. The cell was not sealed with iron bars, but directly sealed with stones, leaving only a small hole at the bottom for delivering food, which was only big enough for a skinny dog to barely squeeze through.
The Ministry of Magic is not worried about the Death Eaters escaping the prison. After all, the Dementors will suck away all the physical strength and desires of the prisoners, and they don't mind giving the escapees a soul-eating kiss. But now, these unprofessional jailers have left their posts and have received more glorious tasks under the watchful eyes of Latarn Magnus.
That was why Lucius could hear the sound of his colleagues smashing stones from a distance, but when he got closer, the sound disappeared immediately.
"Everyone!" Lucius raised his voice so that all the Death Eaters could hear him. "It's me!"
"Malfoy!" A female voice as sharp as an awl came from a cell. "You are a scum who deserves to fall into the other world! You are a traitor who lies all the time! How dare you show up in front of us!"
Her voice aroused a wave of echoes. The serious prisoners who had been imprisoned for twelve years cursed Lucius bitterly, wishing they could grind Lucius to ashes.
You know, in order to protect his freedom and property, Lucius betrayed a lot of hidden Death Eaters, and claimed that he was just deceived and bewitched. Almost half of the cells on the bottom floor were filled with his slippery tongue.
The other half was thanks to the legendary Auror, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, but the Death Eaters only hated him half as much as they did Lucius. At least Mad-Eye defeated them fairly.
"A stone wall is not 'in front of' me," Lucius said calmly. "Bellatrix, your voice is still so harsh. If you want to continue to spend your days here counting stones, let her continue to spit venom at me."
Bellatrix Lestrange let out a banshee-like howl, but a hoarse male voice from another cell interrupted Bella's ready curses and insults.
"I heard two footsteps," the male voice said. "Malfoy, who else is coming with you?"
"It's me, Dawlish," said the Death Eater who had been hiding as an Auror for twelve years. "We are here to give you your freedom."
He was about to open the Death Eaters' cell door when Lucius grabbed his arm.
Under Dawlish's puzzled gaze, Lucius said to the closed cells one by one: "My fellow officers, I believe you have already felt the call of the Dark Mark. As you think, our master has returned."
The Death Eaters howled like wolves seeing a full moon, and Bellatrix moaned like a young girl in love, "Let me out now! I will serve him until my soul dries up!"
"I am so relieved to see that you are still so passionate." Lucius wisely did not tell them that their master had been changed. After all, when they saw Latarn, they would naturally surrender to the feet of the Red Devil. "Dawlish, let them out."
"It should have been done long ago." Dawlish muttered, picking up a small pocket hammer from his keychain. He used the hammer, which was shorter than his finger, to knock lightly on the stone-sealed cell door. The magic entrenched in the rock collapsed on its own, and the stone it was hosted in turned into dust.
One after another, skinny prisoners walked out of the prison. After twelve years in prison, they were smelly and unkempt, more miserable than beggars and scarier than zombies. But under their messy hair, their eyes were all flashing with evil lights as hot as burning coals.
Pandora's box has been opened, the bound wolf Fenrir broke free from the chains, and the Death Eaters are out of the cage!
Lucius distributed the wands stolen from the Auror's office to them. Although they were not tailor-made by Ollivander, this group of evil wizards were still excited about having the ability to use magic again.
Seeing these people who once terrified the wizarding world shooting magical sparks at each other like kids who had just entered Hogwarts, before Lucius could enforce discipline, he heard Dawlish shout, "Hey! Who are you?! I don't know you!"
Before he could finish his words, a black-haired man knocked Dawlish down like a mad dog. Lucius really didn't know how such a great strength could burst out from this sickly and thin body, but it didn't stop him from pulling out the magic wand from his cane and yelling, "Stupe!"
The black-haired man punched Dawlish, then got on all fours, nimbly jumped to the side, and transformed into a huge black hound in the air - he was actually an Animagus, a wizard with the ability to transform into an animal!
"Catch him!" Lucius shouted. He had already discovered the identity of the black-haired man, and a surge of excitement surged in his heart.
