My Little Pony: Another World Adventure

Chapter 40 The Ensuing Crisis

With gravity lightning wrapped around his body, Latan flew to Hagrid's hut at the fastest speed. In the pumpkin field dotted with pale snow stains, there was a black mountain waving his arms furiously.

It was Hagrid! The huge black hound bit his arm tightly, its sharp teeth biting through the moleskin coat, but it couldn't penetrate the tough skin of the half-blood giant. The whole dog was like a rag, twisting and whining.

Seeing that Hagrid was fine, Latarn breathed a sigh of relief, landed on the ground and shouted to the gamekeeper: "Hagrid! Leave it to me!"

The half-blood giant's movements suddenly stopped, like a music box with a broken spring, and he slowly turned his face towards the red lion, ignoring the wailing of his pet dog.

The moment he saw the other person's face, Latan felt that his heart was tightly gripped by the dead man's cold fingers. Regret climbed from his tailbone to the top of his head, crushing all his internal organs.

Why couldn't I come here earlier?

Hagrid's face was covered with wriggling purple blood vessels, and his mouth under his thick beard was full of protruding sharp teeth. His black eyes, which were originally full of tenderness, were now covered with a layer of strange blood light, and the brilliance of humanity and the turbidity of the beast flashed alternately!

Fang wasn't attacking his master, but Hagrid was showing his fangs to the hound!

"Hagrid..." Latan heard his own voice almost moaning. The toughness in the giant's blood preserved the last bit of humanity of the gamekeeper. He knew that this person whom he regarded as a father could hear his words, "Don't..."

For a second Ratan was sure he saw a flash of sadness in Hagrid's eyes, but then the gamekeeper gave a roar of rage, swung his arm and smashed Fang against the pumpkin patch fence.

The black hound let out a whine from its throat, its mouth pried open by pain and broken bones. As its calf-sized body fell to the ground, Hagrid strode towards Ratan and slammed his huge fist as big as a rock into the red lion's head!

Latan did not dodge, allowing Hagrid's fist to hit his face, making a huge noise like metal and stone bursting, and the sharp pain pierced into his brain from the bridge of his nose like an ice cone. This was his punishment for himself.

Why didn't you come earlier...

Hagrid, infected by the fine snow, roared and punched Latan in the face again and again. His red hair flew in the violent waves of air, but Latan's body remained motionless, his feet seemed to be nailed to the ground, and the physical pain was not even one-tenth of the pain in his heart.

Why didn't you come earlier!!!

I have the power to save him!

Mom...Hagrid...you gave me your love, but I brought disaster upon you.

Am I only able to bring suffering to those around me?

Two thick hands grasped Latan's head. With tearful eyes, he saw Hagrid open his fang-filled mouth and bite down on his head!

"I'm sorry, Hagrid..."

One punch! Ratan's right arm blasted out like a missile, from bottom to top at a tricky angle, hitting Hagrid's jaw! The wide-open mouth suddenly closed, and the huge force made the broken fangs fly like shotgun!

At the moment when Hagrid's upper body leaned back, Ratan cried and hugged the other's arms, clamped them under his armpits, grasped the elbows and lifted them up with force. With two clicks, the gamekeeper's arms were forcibly broken!

Listening to Hagrid's scream of pain, Latan felt a surge of self-blame and regret in his heart. He stretched out his ten fingers towards the half-blood giant who was rushing towards him again, and deep purple lightning roared and raged from his palms!

Gravity magic·Deep well cage!

The Red Lion suddenly clenched his hands together, and the gravity lightning shot out and wrapped around Hagrid's body like a vicious python. The surge in gravity caused the ground within a two-meter radius under his feet to collapse. Even the half-blood giant's hard bones could not withstand such pressure. His legs broke one after another, and he was as miserable as a prisoner in a well!

Looking at Hagrid who was struggling in the mud as if he had no sense of pain, Latan knelt on the ground, held up his face with both hands, looked directly into his eyes which were filled with both humanity and animality, and said firmly: "I will heal you, no matter what the price is."

The murderous look in Hagrid's eyes subsided for a moment, and Latan was sure he saw the gamekeeper nod to him.

Then...everyone is petrified!

The spell released at close range penetrated the half-giant's skin which was highly resistant to magic. Hagrid's movements froze instantly, leaving only his two bloodshot eyes that could still move.

Ratan raised his hand and released an invisible gravity rope, carried the dying Fang on his shoulder, took out the suitcase that once belonged to Newt Scamander from the hut, controlled the gravity to pull the petrified Hagrid out of the mud, and quickly rushed towards the Hogwarts Castle on the hill.

Pushing open the door leading to the corridor on the first floor, Latan came face to face with Minamoto Kiyotaka, who was already wearing the Dragon Feast type magical armor. The hybrid, whose beauty blurred his gender, was wrapped in the strict silver-gray armor, and looked as heroic as a general commanding an army.

"Latan! I was just about to go look for you, and you—"

The word "OK" could not come out of Minamoto Qinglong's mouth. His golden dragon pupils stared blankly at the red lion's eyes which were stained with tears. He had seen purple light burst out from them several times, but he had never witnessed such pure and deep eyes like this moment.

Like the surging magma in the earth's crust, like the corona erupting from a star, like the stars sublimating from the astrology, it is simply... a god walking on earth!

The majesty of this devilish mountain even terrified the dragon blood in Minamoto Kiyotaka's body. The usually restless blood was now more docile and obedient than a cat, just like Satan in the Bible who faced God directly. There was no other way for him except to surrender.

"I'm fine." Ratan himself was surprised at the calmness of his tone. He led Hagrid and Fang into the castle and asked, "How's the situation in the castle?"

"Because of the hot weather, many classrooms have windows open for classes, so..." Minamoto Kiyotaka said bitterly, "Our Knights have used spells to control most of the mutated students and isolated those who were scratched and bitten. Headmaster Dumbledore was furious. He ordered the Ministry of Magic to send people to Hogwarts immediately to maintain order. Now the school is in a state of panic and chaos."

"Where are the infected people isolated now?" Latan asked in a low voice as he strengthened the petrification spell on Hagrid.

Minamoto Kiyotaka glanced at the ferocious-looking gamekeeper and quickly replied, "In the basement classroom, Professor Snape is taking care of them."

Without saying a word, Latan strode into the corridor beside the marble steps opposite the auditorium. His broad shoulders rubbed against the narrow stone walls on both sides, and the rough surface tore his clothes and scattered gray dust.

I was too indecisive and too indulged in naive fantasies.

I was so naive as to think that time travelers would not be so cruel, and even thought that I could cooperate with them.

The occurrence of this warm snow was entirely due to the mistake I made. It was because of me that the time travelers took advantage of the opportunity and caused the deaths of so many innocent people.

Time travelers are beasts and parasites of this world.

The only thing I need to do with them is to kill and exterminate them.

Latan's mind was extremely calm. Bright red flames flowed out of his stinging right eye, and then went out in the blink of an eye, leaving no trace.

He pushed open the door of the dungeon and was somewhat surprised to see Harry here too. The boy who had survived a catastrophe was following the Potions Professor, recording in detail the deformations that occurred on the bodies of the infected people who were frozen by the Petrification Curse.

"Latan!" A look of surprise just appeared on Harry's face, but Hagrid's appearance instantly turned his joy into horror, "Hagrid! He's been infected too?!"

"Stand back." Snape pushed Harry aside impatiently, drew out his wand, dragged Hagrid's huge body into the classroom, and placed him in the open space at the back.

His dull black eyes carefully examined Hagrid's limbs that were obviously broken violently. A hint of strangeness flashed across his eyes, and he turned to look at Latarn who was sizing up the infected students. "The half-blood giant's resistance to magic is still useful. His condition is much better than these people. At least he can still wake up for a while occasionally."

Latan looked at the infected little wizards. The symptoms of those infected with the Snow Virus were much more obvious than those with the Crazy Dragon Virus. The most common ones were swollen purple blood vessels on their faces, sharp and long fangs growing out of their teeth after they fell out, and abnormal swelling of muscles all over their bodies.

Some of the infected people showed even rarer conditions. Some had their right arms atrophied and their left arms swelled, some had their nails become sharp and curved, and some even had dense fish scales growing on their bodies. Their miserable and ugly appearance was unbearable to look at.

The one who crosses!

With his fists clenched tightly, Latan turned to Professor Snape and asked sincerely, "Can you cure them?"

"I have to find the lesion first before I can start." Snape's sallow face showed a tired and depressed expression, "But this disease is like cancer, which makes all the cells in the patient's body become extremely active, so that--"

His words were interrupted by a loud scream. Latan rushed out of the underground classroom as soon as possible and saw a door on the empty and wet stone wall at the end of the corridor. This was the only way to enter the Slytherin common room.

But something obviously doesn't think so.

The terrified Slytherins rushed out of the common room, followed by the cold lake water, which rushed and submerged everyone's ankles.

Ratan's gaze passed over the heads of the little wizards and fell directly on the Slytherin common room. On the transparent glass wall through which the bottom of the Black Lake could be seen, a tentacle wrapped with purple blood vessels was tightly attached to it. Hundreds of huge suction cups with circular serrations cut circles of cracks on the glass, and the lake water shot in like an arrow under the action of water pressure!

Giant squid! It's also infected by the fine snow!

Tens of millions of tons of water pressure instantly crushed the cracked glass, and the tentacles of the giant squid rolled towards a panicked and terrified little girl in the pouring lake water. With just one strike, its keratinous ring teeth could tear a fragile human body into pieces!

At this moment, deep purple thunder more powerful than the lake water roared over, and a pair of pitch-black giant blades directly cut off the giant squid's tough tentacles in mid-air!

The girl who escaped was blown to the ground by the violent gust of wind, her golden hair disheveled, her legs weak with fear, and she subconsciously looked behind her.

A red-haired giant wearing heavy silver armor and holding a pair of black swords was reflected in her emerald eyes. He was like the Titan god in mythology who was holding up the sky and controlling the dazzling thunder, isolating the vast lake outside the common room!

Gravity Magic·Dark Wave!

Latan's eyes sparkled, the magnetic field emblem blossomed on his chest, and the Star Crusher Greatsword burst out with gravity lightning to counter the torrent in front of him. The heavy water pressure made veins bulge on his forehead. He turned his head to look at the girl and growled, "I can't hold on for much longer, hurry up!"

Before the girl could react, she was lifted up.

It was Minamoto Kiyotaka. He shouted loudly to evacuate the crowd, his golden eyes shining brightly. He used the majesty of dragon blood to suppress the panic of the crowd and drove the young wizards of Slytherin to the safe area upstairs.

Professor Snape used magic to move the infected out of the dungeon. He looked deeply at Latan's back, then dragged Harry upstairs and rushed quickly, his black robe fluttering behind him like bat wings.

After the last Slytherin escaped from the common room, Minamoto Kiyotaka anxiously shouted to Latan: "Use the Transfiguration spell to seal the gap!"
