My Little Pony: Another World Adventure

Chapter 4 Magnus's Prophecy

Latan sat on the edge of the bed, with his book beside him, his hands on his knees, looking at Professor Dumbledore with clear curiosity in his eyes.

A traverser? A traveler?

Is it because I didn’t learn English well enough? Why can’t I understand the meaning of this word?

I still don’t read enough books…

Dumbledore took out a cockroach from the sugar bowl and gestured to Latarn about the candy, which was shaped and colored like a cockroach. After receiving a rejection, he stuffed it into his own mouth, patted the sugar residue off his hands, and said, "Show me your wand."

Latan pulled out a heavy tungsten alloy wand from the brass buckle on his belt, carefully handed it to the white-haired old man with both hands, and said, "It's very heavy, please be careful."

"It's okay, it's okay. Hehe..."

Dumbledore stroked the engraved pattern on the wand, his amazingly blue eyes revealing a complex look. He pointed at the packages scattered around the room and whispered, "Pack them up."

Two or three sparks shot out from the tip of the wand, and invisible magical power gushed out. The suitcase suddenly opened up, swallowed up the robe, pantyhose and socks, and automatically folded them neatly.

The crucible and the telescope jumped off the table with their short legs, followed the crystal medicine bottle and the herbs into the box, and curled up neatly without any mess.

The pile of books was ready to be moved, but Latan slapped them on the bed. He still wanted to read these.

"Not bad, not bad. Smooth and powerful. It suits you very well." Dumbledore returned the wand to Ratan and smiled bitterly under his long and thick white beard. "Two or three years ago, who would have thought that today's wands would be made of metal?"

"Two or three years ago?" Latan frowned. "But Mr. Ollivander said..."

"Olivander? So, I have lost another old friend." Dumbledore looked sad, pressing his index finger against his temple. "Latan, your wand was made by a time traveler. I am not sure what a time traveler is. I only know that they have power that I cannot imagine, and they regard our world as their playground. Look at this."

Dumbledore took out a thick stack of parchment from his arms. Latarn took it and found that it contained detailed records of the lives of several young wizards.

"Wilbur Parkinson, Pansy Parkinson's younger brother, was born a Squib - that is, someone who was born into a wizarding family but has no magical talent. After a serious illness, his personality changed drastically, and he began to master the magic in his body. Now he is a second-year student at Slytherin College, obsessed with killing magical creatures and using their abilities for himself."

"Havana Potter, Harry Potter's distant cousin. Her parents are both dead, and she was raised by Muggles. She is a second-year Hufflepuff student. She has mastered the Fiery Fire Curse, which even I dare not cast easily. It was she who killed the previous Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

"Virgil Spada, claims to be half demonic, a second-year Ravenclaw student. Does not like to use wands, loves Japanese swords. Claims to be able to cut through space, despises Voldemort and Grindelwald, and thinks he can easily kill the Dark Lord."

"Scaramsey, nicknamed 'Scrappy', calls himself the God of Righteousness, a second-year student in Ravenclaw. His origins are unknown, but he has mastered advanced alchemy skills and has tried to transform Hogwarts Castle more than once. He has caused many collapse accidents, and many people have been injured by his misdeeds."

"There are many other time travelers like this, but they all have one thing in common. They all suddenly appeared when the Boy Who Survived entered school."

Dumbledore paused, allowing Latan to digest the information.

"Professor." Latan looked expressionlessly at the beautiful italicized words on the parchment. "You took me out of Gregorovitch's prison just to let me supervise these people who disrupt teaching order... time travelers?"

"If only they were really just disrupting the school."

Dumbledore hid his bitterness with a smile: "Look at the metal wand in your hand. The time travelers have begun to use their power to change the world. Although I am not so conservative, I am more worried about whether Voldemort's fate will change because of them."

Ratan looked at Dumbledore strangely: "But Professor, the book says that you are the only person Voldemort is afraid of."

"Indeed, but that's all. Fate has destined me to be unable to destroy him. The only person who can completely put an end to Voldemort is the boy with the lightning scar on his forehead, Harry Potter."

Dumbledore leaned forward slightly and looked into Ratan's eyes. "My child, I am sorry that you have to bear such heavy responsibilities as soon as you enter school. I earnestly hope that you can stop the time travelers when they try to interfere with the fate of Harry and Voldemort."

Latarn lowered his head and looked at the names on the parchment. His right eye felt a slight pain. He said, "Professor, you freed me from the cage and gave me the freedom I had dreamed of for eleven years. You allowed me to enter Hogwarts and enjoy the happiness that knowledge brings me."

Stop? What does it mean to stop? Can I just chant a spell to them?

No! This is not safe at all. If necessary, I have to drive the time travelers out of Hogwarts!

But then we have to worry about the revenge of the time travelers. The book says that if you don't remove the root of the problem, there will be endless troubles. It's better to let them... let these time travelers... disappear from this world completely!

Latarn looked expressionless, looked into Dumbledore's expectant eyes, and said plainly: "I won't let them ruin all this."

"Great."

Dumbledore clapped his hands happily, stood up and walked to the door: "I won't let you fight alone, Latan. I need to find two helpers for you. On September 1st, they-"

The strong magical fluctuations made the white-haired old man stop suddenly. With agility not inferior to that of a young man, he turned around and looked at the source of the vast magical power.

The half-blood giant was sitting beside the bed, his skin was red and hot, his red hair was dancing wildly without wind, his hollow eyes were emitting a faint purple light, and a hoarse and terrifying voice, as deep and loud as an organ, came out of his throat:

[The young lion will defeat the old one]

[On the battlefield, the end of a one-on-one fight]

[His eyes will be pierced through the golden cage]

[Two wounds merged into one, bringing a cruel death]

This is... a prophecy!

Dumbledore watched in shock as Latarn lowered his head and a low hum came from his throat. The old man had seen a similar scene many years ago, and the former prophet was recruited on the spot by him as the professor of Divination at Hogwarts.

Yes, Latan's mother, Reinara, was originally the most gifted prophet in the Gregorovitch family. Not only did her son inherit his mother's talent, he was even more powerful than his elder!

It’s just the content of this prophecy…

Latarn blinked blankly and looked at Dumbledore with a confused look: "Professor, what's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, child." Dumbledore calmly put the wand he had just pulled out back, "Read more, study hard, and eat on time. Don't forget the train on September 9st. I'm leaving first."

"Goodbye Professor."

Latan lowered his head expressionlessly due to shame. Dumbledore even reminded him that he had read too few books. It seemed that he could not be worthy of being a gentleman by working alone in the dungeon.

Next we have to supervise the time travelers, Latan, Latan, you must not let your guard down!

There are still more than 400 Galleons in my purse. I have to transform these cold metals into my own power...

Latan's reading diary.

8 month 4 number.

I read through the Standard Book of Spells, Elementary, and asked Tom, the bar owner, for permission to use magic in the room. I tried to use the Levitation Charm to sort the books, but it knocked more than ten holes into the ceiling. I tried to use the Repair Charm to repair it, but the ceiling began to sprout. I read Gilderoy Lockhart's works, which were passable as biographical novels, but were shit as textbooks.

I was complained by the tenant next door for reciting Magical Pharmacy and Potion in the middle of the night. I tried to make a potion to treat boils, and it was successful. I can try a more difficult potion. The Daily Prophet published a short message about an underage wizard using a wand illegally. It turned out to be Harry Potter, who hit two Muggles with a cake.

Professor McGonagall sent me a list of books, and I was very happy. I have finished all the books for the first grade, and I want to find a place to put my knowledge into practice, but to no avail. "Red Dragon" is not only a magic book, but also a secret book that records alchemy and ancient rituals. The symbols on it need to be translated by cryptography... Maybe I should read books written by Muggles.

8 month 7 number.

The first time I left the Leaky Cauldron, the Muggles dressed very differently from wizards, and my body shape also attracted too many eyes. I hate being peeped at, can't they just control their own eyes? I bought "Introduction to Passwords" and "Basic Mechanics". Next time I go out, I must remember to exchange Muggle coins in advance to avoid wasting time.

8 month 8 number.

Amazing! Mechanics is amazing! Muggles can actually understand the world from this perspective. They cannot use magic, but they have expanded the basic "force" to every aspect of life! This is a subject as mysterious as magic. I can't wait to learn more about mechanics!

Latan, Latan, have you forgotten that you promised Professor McGonagall to buy an owl?

I didn't react to the spell written in Red Dragon. Was it really my hallucination? Through the Detailed Explanation of Electromagnetic Force, I manipulated the magic power mechanically and successfully used the levitation spell without using a wand. This method would leave bright purple lightning in the air. Although it was very eye-catching, it was better than using the wand made by the time traveler.

----

August 8, in a single room on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron.

Latan sat cross-legged in the messy bedding, his long crimson hair cascading down from his head onto the bed, his tungsten alloy wand leaning against the window sill. The temperatureless purple arcs shuttled through the air, like a dragon flying through the clouds in Eastern mythology.

It is an extension of Latan's will. Dozens of books in the room are lifted up by it and float in the air, with the pages gently turned by it with gentle force.

Latan was reading dozens of books at the same time. His dark eyes scanned the texts that recorded knowledge like a scanner. He also used magic to control the feather pen to record his understanding and summary on the pages.

After confirming that the knowledge in the book was firmly memorized in his mind, Latan breathed a sigh of relief, mobilized his magic power to stack the dozens of books neatly into the suitcase, and the feather pen inserted itself back into the ink bottle as if it had eyes. The deep purple lightning that filled the entire room was extinguished instantly.

When magic is combined with mechanics, even gravity can change according to one's thoughts. We have to marvel at the amazing wisdom of our ancestors, and what a precious treasure they have left for future generations.

If we continue to develop in this direction, maybe one day in the future, even the movement of the stars in the sky will be controlled by magic...

Ratan stretched his stiff body and glanced at the calendar on the wall. In the picture on the calendar, two Quidditch teams were fiercely chasing the Quaffle.
