Chapter 51 Internal Training 1 Breath

"Brother Dao, you are so kind!"

Fang Muye responded modestly, and then sighed: "It's a pity that my boxing training is useless. It's just a mirage after all, and I can't achieve perfection."

Zhou Xiyu asked, "The Ziyun Pavilion in Cuihua Mountain is a world-famous Taoist temple, and it also has a method for practicing Qigong. Have you not learned it, Taoist friend?"

Fang Muye sighed, "The Purple Cloud Pavilion is very conservative. They test their disciples for several years before they are willing to teach them. I left the mountain before I even passed the test."

Having said that, he looked at Zhou Xiyu with sincere eyes and said in a gentle voice: "I have an unwelcome request. I hope that you can teach me the Qi training method of Tai Chi." After saying that, he clasped his fists and bowed.

This matter cannot be approached in a roundabout way. According to Zhou Xiyu's character, if he uses tricks, there is a high probability that he will backfire. Sincerity is, on the contrary, the most effective method.

Zhou Xiyu held up Fang Muye with his arm, his eyes moving as if hesitating.

There is a rule in Tai Chi that Peng family’s things cannot be passed on to outsiders.

However, since Zhou Xiyu had graduated from Tai Chi School and taught Boss Cha the Peng family's supreme martial art, the Ape Fighting Technique, he no longer cared about this, but...

He said in a deep voice: "The Peng family's things are not allowed to be passed on to outsiders. I can teach you, but I am afraid that it will sow the seeds of disaster for you."

Fang Muye looked determined and said resolutely: "If I can hear the truth in the morning, I can die in the evening!"

Zhou Xiyu smiled and said, "Okay, since you are not afraid, I will teach you!"

He thought for a moment and continued, "Any martial arts that want to develop internal energy must be combined with corresponding breathing techniques and guiding techniques to cultivate both the inside and the outside. There are many types of Tai Chi in the martial arts world, but they are actually all derived from Wudang Tai Chi, so this method of training Qi is also evolved from Wudang's method of training Qi."

"The Qigong training method of Wudang Tai Chi is called Wuji Gong, the Qigong training method of Yang Tai Chi is called Taixuan Gong, and the Qigong training method of Peng family is Liangyi Taihe Gong..."

Zhou Xiyu spoke slowly and Fang Muye listened attentively. Whenever he had any doubts, he would ask them and Zhou Xiyu would answer them.

The two of them sat on the ground under the tree and talked. At this time, the advantage of Changming Temple's lack of incense was revealed. They sat there for a long time without anyone disturbing them.

Through constant discussions, Fang Muye finally had a general understanding of the similarities and differences between the martial arts systems in the world of "The Taoist Goes Down the Mountain" and the world of "Iron Monkey and Huang Feihong".

When practicing medicine and martial arts together in the previous world, Fang Muye had a point of view: practicing martial arts is a process of constantly understanding and developing the human body.

This point is still correct at present.

In both worlds, no matter which school of martial arts, the foundation is the human body.

The tangible parts of the human body include skin, flesh, bones, internal organs, and blood vessels.

The invisible elements of the human body are essence, qi, spirit and intention.

Practicing the visible will assist the invisible, and cultivating the invisible will assist the visible.

Both this world and the previous world have the saying "train your muscles, bones and skin externally, and your breath internally".

The principle of “external training of muscles, bones and skin” is no different, the difference lies in “internal training of breath”.

Internal energy is the most different aspect between the two worlds of kung fu.

The internal energy in the previous world is blood.

When a warrior practices martial arts, whether it is external or internal kung fu, it can strengthen the qi and blood. The only difference is the emphasis, and the direction in the later stage will be different.

When the Qi and blood are abundant, the blood will be abundant!

Qi and blood and blood qi seem to be the same, but in fact they are very different.

Qi and blood are the visible blood; blood and qi are the invisible qi.

The reason why "qi" and "blood" are put together is because "qi" and "blood" are inseparable.

This is easier to explain with modern science.

The human body inhales air, and the useful oxygen in the air enters the blood and dissolves into the blood. If the oxygen content in the blood is low, the person will become sick or even be in danger of death.

Blood Qi can be regarded as the energy generated by blood, which has a harmonizing and promoting effect on blood. As Chinese medicine says: Qi is the commander of blood, and blood moves naturally when Qi moves.

Qi depends on blood for its survival, and blood lives because of Qi.

Qi includes "breathing air" and "refining essence into Qi". Everyone can enjoy breathing air, but to refine essence into Qi, one needs to practice martial arts.

Blood and qi exist naturally in the human body, and their strength varies from person to person.

Refining essence into qi can not only increase the quantity of blood and qi, but also strengthen the quality of blood and qi.

Compared with external martial arts, internal martial arts focus more on "refining essence into qi".

In addition, internal martial arts emphasize "using Qi to control strength". The Qi here actually refers to blood.

Fang Muye has practiced boxing for more than fifteen years and has mastered the three major internal boxing styles. Now his blood is abundant, his blood is like mercury, his blood is like a rainbow, and there is a sound of thunder during its circulation.

The internal energy in this world is actually the internal energy often mentioned in martial arts novels.

True Qi is not like blood and Qi which exist naturally, but must be cultivated through practice.

If you want to practice true Qi, you must first cultivate the sense of Qi.

Then you can refine the essence of water and grain or your own essence into true Qi, and then use guiding techniques to control the true Qi to flow through the eight extraordinary meridians in the body, using the Qi to nourish the body and to generate strength, thus achieving the effect of cultivating both inside and outside.

Practice Qi internally and practice form externally. Use form to move Qi and use Qi to nourish form. Only when Qi and form become one can you achieve the highest level of Kung Fu.

From the perspective of "Qi" alone, true Qi is definitely more advanced and more magical.

However, the blood and energy from the previous world also have their advantages. It is better than true energy in nourishing the body.

Although Fang Muye cannot beat Zhou Xiyu now, if we compare him in terms of pure physical strength and physical intensity, he is several levels higher than Zhou Xiyu. Even his vitality is much stronger.

A few years later, Zhou Xiyu was ambushed by Peng Qizi at night in Changming Temple. He was shot three times in the right chest and abdomen and died.

If it were Fang Muye, he might not be able to withstand the bullet, but it would definitely be more difficult for the bullet to travel through his body, and with his vigorous blood and energy, there is a high chance that he would survive.

After talking for almost an hour, Zhou Xiyu left first as he had to take care of the affairs of the Taoist temple.

Fang Muye sat cross-legged under a tree, with his hands as if holding a ball, palms facing up, placed in front of his lower abdomen, silently reciting the formula of Liang Yi Tai He Gong to conceive Qi, combined with a unique breathing method, with his tongue against the upper palate, and he put aside distracting thoughts, calmed his mind, and focused his mind on Dantian.

He was able to achieve "tranquility" easily, which is extremely difficult for beginners.

Fang Muye breathed through his nose, and gradually, his breathing became thinner and longer.

I don’t know how long it had been, but a hint of warmth gradually began to arise in my dantian area. The warmth became stronger and stronger, and finally I felt a warm sensation.

This is clearly a sign of the birth of a sense of energy!

Fang Muye's heart was calm, neither surprised nor happy. He maintained his state of cultivation, wanting to make a final push and completely cultivate the energy.

Suddenly, Fang Muye felt his dantian shrinking and expanding, and a strange feeling came over him. He seemed to see a candle suddenly light up in the dark dantian at the moment of expansion.

That candlelight was the first ray of true energy that he had just nurtured.
