Rift: Countdown to Doomsday

After Lingfeng traveled to another world, he experienced a difficult period of adaptation. After he and the female warrior Xuewu traveled together, they decided to go to a legendary village where there lived an experienced mentor who was said to be able to help people grow and improve their strength quickly.

One day, they were walking through a dense forest when they suddenly felt a strong breath coming towards them. Lingfeng stopped alertly and whispered, "Xuewu, be careful, there is someone ahead."

Xuewu nodded, the long sword in her hand trembling slightly, ready to fight at any time. They continued forward, carefully passing through several tall trees, and suddenly the view in front of them opened up, and a simple wooden house appeared in front of them.

In front of the wooden house stood a tall, white-haired old man with deep and calm eyes. Lingfeng and Xuewu looked at each other and knew that this old man was the mentor they were looking for.

Ling Feng stepped forward and said respectfully: "Senior, we are here to seek guidance."

The old man smiled and said slowly: "Come in, young man."

They walked into the wooden house, which was very simply furnished with a wooden table, a few chairs, and bookshelves piled with ancient books. The old man motioned for them to sit down and poured them a cup of tea.

"My name is Kane, and I'm the protector of this village." Kane introduced himself. "I heard that you came from afar. What is your purpose?"

Ling Feng said in a deep voice: "My name is Ling Feng, and this is my partner Xue Wu. We came to this world to become stronger, protect the people around us, and uncover the secrets of this world."

Xuewu wiped the sweat from her forehead and said firmly: "We will persevere."
