Rift: Countdown to Doomsday

The sun shines through the sparse leaves, casting mottled shadows on the ground. Lin Feng and his companions carefully pass through this unknown forest. There is a vast grassland in front of them, and several strange buildings can be vaguely seen.

"Lin Feng, are we really going in?" Xuewu asked worriedly, looking at the mysterious building.

Lin Feng nodded firmly, "This is a place we must explore. It is said that there are remains of an ancient civilization there, which may contain the resources and answers we need."

Lieyan clapped the sword in his hand excitedly, "Haha, finally there is a new challenge! I can't wait!"

Lan Ya frowned slightly, "We must be careful. The older the place, the more likely it is to hide unknown dangers."

Kane came over and patted Lin Feng on the shoulder. "Don't worry, we are here, nothing will happen to you. We will face it together."

Irene smiled and said, "Yes, we are all together, we can definitely overcome all difficulties."

Gray looked ahead silently, his eyes flashing with thought, "I feel a strong energy, everyone be careful, there may be a strong enemy."

Lin Feng took a deep breath, turned around and said to his companions, "No matter what lies ahead, we must remain firm in our beliefs, work together, and face it together."

Everyone nodded in agreement and then walked carefully towards the building.

After they walked into the complex, they found that although these buildings were old, they were still well preserved. Each building was engraved with ancient runes, which seemed to record some kind of ancient civilization and power.

"These runes...I seem to have seen them in my mentor's book." Lin Feng carefully observed the runes, trying to decipher the mystery contained in them.

Xuewu suddenly pointed to a tall tower and said, "That tower seems to be the center of this place. Maybe there is what we are looking for there."

Lieyan waved his sword and said, "Let's go and take a look!"

Everyone walked towards the tower and stepped onto the stairs leading to the top of the tower. Each step was engraved with runes, as if telling some ancient legend.

When they reached the top of the tower, they saw a huge altar with a stone tablet in the center that was glowing with blue light.

Lin Feng walked closer to the stone tablet and touched it gently. Suddenly, the runes on the stone tablet began to glow, and an illusory figure emerged from the stone tablet.

"Welcome, brave adventurer." The illusory figure said slowly, "I am the guardian of this ancient civilization. Are you here to seek power and answers?"

Lin Feng nodded, "Yes, we need to find the strength to fight against the evil forces and protect our world."

The illusory figure smiled, "Your determination is admirable. But to gain this power, you must pass the test. Only the true heroes can obtain the power we leave behind."

Lieyan gripped the sword tightly, "Trial? That's exactly what I want!"

Gray said solemnly, "We will accept the trial and prove our determination and courage."

The illusory figure nodded, and then the ground around the altar began to shake. Several stone statues slowly rose up and turned into lifelike warriors.

"These are the guardians. You must defeat them to pass the trial," the illusory figure said.

Lin Feng turned to his companions and said, "Everyone be careful and prepare for battle!"

The battle broke out instantly. The guardians were powerful, but Lin Feng and his team worked together tacitly and gradually gained the upper hand. Lieyan wielded his sword and attacked every guardian fiercely. Xuewu cast magic on the side to support her teammates. Lan Ya used her agility to constantly find the weaknesses of the guardians and launch sneak attacks. Kane and Irene held their ground and protected their teammates from harm. Gray calmly commanded from the side, looking for the best battle strategy.

The battle lasted for a long time, and finally, Lin Feng and his team successfully defeated all the guardians.

The illusory figure reappeared, "You have passed the trial and proved your courage and strength. Now, you can gain this power."

The stone tablet began to glow, and a blue light enveloped Lin Feng and his group. Lin Feng felt the power in his body growing rapidly, and the others also felt the increase in power.

"This is the power of ancient civilization..." Lin Feng exclaimed.

The illusory figure slowly dissipated, leaving only one sentence echoing in the air, "I hope you can use this power to protect your world."

Lin Feng and his group looked at each other and smiled firmly. They knew that this was just a new beginning in their adventure and that greater challenges were waiting for them ahead.

"Let's go. There are still more unknowns waiting for us to explore." Lin Feng said, and took the lead to walk out of the tower.
