The 4th Brigade entered Shanhaiguan and rebuilt Shanhaiguan, while the 7th Brigade continued to attack the Japanese reinforcements in Qinhuangdao.

The Japanese 9th Independent Mixed Brigade was subjected to continuous bombardment by the First Army's Air Force and artillery. It was unable to withstand the fierce attack of the Seventh Brigade and continued to retreat.

Sandaoguan is located 8 kilometers northeast of Shanhaiguan City and is an important part of Jiaoshan Great Wall.

When the 9st Regiment of the th Brigade was pursuing the defeated soldiers of the th Independent Mixed Division of the Japanese Army and reached the path in front of Sandaguan, they were bombarded by Japanese artillery.

In order to reduce unnecessary casualties, the commander of the 7th Brigade, Honglang, decisively ordered to stop the pursuit and build fortifications in the dangerous terrain in front of Sandaoguan. He also sent a regiment to station here to confront the Japanese troops at Sandaoguan across the three passes.

Another large force marched along another road towards Changli County, Qinhuangdao, and continued to open up the passage between the two bases.

Under the suppression of the First Army's mortars, the Japanese and puppet troops on the city wall of Huangdianzhuang Town found it difficult to organize a dense firepower network to stop the attack of the First Battalion's soldiers.

Amid a series of "boom" explosions, the city gate of Huangdianzhuang Town collapsed.

Soldiers from the first battalion rushed into the town one after another and continued shooting at the Japanese and puppet troops on the city wall.

The Japanese and puppet troops in Huangdianzhuang Town could not resist and began to retreat to Changli County through the north gate.

The Japanese squad leader led the remaining Japanese and puppet troops out of Huangdianzhuang Town and retreated to Changli County at full speed. He secretly felt lucky: Fortunately, the devil troops did not surround the north gate of Huangdianzhuang Town, otherwise they would have been blocked in the town.
