Sure enough, when the Battle of Jinan was in full swing, Japanese troops from Weixian and Qingdao rushed to reinforce.

When a part of the Japanese army in Weixian arrived at Ahuaishu Village in Linzi District, west of Xindian, they were ambushed by the 3rd Regiment of the 12th Brigade and the 10th Regiment of the 3rd Detachment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army.

The terrain near Aihuaishu Village is flat, and there are certain shelters on both sides of the railway. The troops of the First Army and the Eighth Route Army hid and ambushed here.

Under the cover of two tanks, the Japanese army attacked Zibo County in cars with great momentum, preparing to reinforce Jinan.

Who knew that with a salvo of rockets from the 3rd Regiment of the 12th Brigade, the two Japanese tanks and the four leading trucks were all destroyed.

Soldiers from the 12th Brigade and the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army, who had been ambushed on both sides, opened fire on the Japanese troops on the road.

The Japanese army in Weixian launched several attacks but failed to break through the defense lines of the First Army and the Eighth Route Army.

Another part of the Japanese army in Weixian attacked Zibo City from Xiaoqing River by gunboat.

Tangkou Village in Gaoqing County, Zibo is located on the south bank of Xiaoqing River, where the river forms a relatively narrow channel.

The 4th Regiment of the 12th Brigade arranged rocket troops to ambush here in advance.

When the three Japanese gunboats arrived here, they were bombarded with intensive rockets.

The Japanese gunboats immediately returned fire, but the soldiers of the 12th Brigade hid in the bushes and did not fire, so the Japanese on the gunboats had no way of finding them.

The rocket soldiers of the 4th Regiment of the 12th Brigade hid in the bushes and continuously attacked the Japanese gunboats.

The guns of the three Japanese gunboats were destroyed by rockets one after another. The Japanese soldiers on the boats suffered heavy casualties and had to retreat in disgrace.

Houhansi Village in Anqiu City, Weifang City is located at the foot of Yanyu Ridge, 4000 meters west of Shibuzi Town, Anqiu City. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and has a dangerous terrain.

The Japanese troops in Qingdao fought back hastily and deployed artillery units to fiercely bombard the positions of the 15th Brigade and the Eighth Route Army. The battle entered a stalemate for a while.

At this time, the 3rd Regiment of the 12th Brigade and the 10th Regiment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army, which had set up an ambush in Ahuaishu Village, had already entered Weixian and were attacking Hansizhuang Village.

There was an artillery position of the Japanese army in Qingdao here, and the Japanese commander had to dispatch heavy troops to block the attack of the 3rd Regiment of the 12th Brigade and the 10th Regiment of the Shandong Column.
