Devil's Army

Chapter 138: Transporting Alcohol and Penicillin

After the Sixth Battalion's founding meeting, Liu Yaohua led more than 1,100 men from the Sixth Battalion to the open space originally reserved for the Wulang Second Battalion to build the Sixth Battalion's barracks. The other troops continued their training.

"Wenlang, do we have enough alcohol and penicillin in stock?" Leng Feng asked.

"There is definitely enough alcohol in stock, but the penicillin stock should be a little short. We should be able to produce enough by noon."

"Let's go and take a look." Leng Feng was pulling Wen Lang to leave the playground when a soldier came over with a small bamboo tube.

"Captain, we have received the information from Fengtian."

Leng Feng took the bamboo tube and pulled out the note inside. It said: "The Japanese have increased their troops and are mobilizing frequently. I am afraid they will take action."

Leng Feng felt around and found that he didn't bring any paper or pen, so he asked the soldier to follow them to the operations room.

Arriving at the war room, Leng Feng tore off a small piece of paper and wrote on it: It should be aimed at Rehe. Then he stuffed it into a small bamboo tube and handed it to the soldier. Then he went to the penicillin production workshop with Wen Lang.

When they arrived at the penicillin production workshop, He Shuzhen, her laboratory classmates and several women from the Oroqen tribe were packing penicillin into boxes.

"He Shuzhen, is 1000 penicillins enough to be produced?"

"It's enough, but there are not enough boxes. I have asked my father to send someone to get them. They will be available to us in the afternoon."

"Okay, you're busy."

"Wenlang, you can arrange for people to drive over to load the goods. Arrange fourteen trucks to load. Six trucks will go to Brigade Commander Wang, and eight trucks will go to Army Commander Sun. There are three barrels of gasoline in the underground warehouse. Fill up the trucks' tanks."

"Okay, I'll make arrangements now."

"We will arrange two squadrons this time. One squadron will go to Rehe Brigade Commander Wang, and the other squadron will go to Weichang Army Commander Sun."

"understand".

"You will have to lead the team again this time. Teach them Japanese when you have time. Once they learn to speak Japanese, you won't have to do it all by yourself."

"Okay, I'll come back and assign some people to learn Japanese."

The two parted ways in the penicillin workshop. Wen Lang went back to arrange for someone to drive over to load alcohol and penicillin, while Leng Feng went to the glass factory.

Wen Lang led a squadron to drive to the underground warehouse through a small road, and assigned another small team to drive into the cave in front of the anti-tank cone fortification, where six vehicles were hidden.

There were no Japanese soldiers on the path to the underground warehouse, so Wenlang and his men entered the underground warehouse smoothly.

Wen Lang ordered the soldiers to fill eight of the Japanese trucks in the underground warehouse with gasoline, and then loaded the remaining one and a half barrels of gasoline onto the trucks, preparing to refuel the six trucks at the anti-tank cone fortifications later.

Eight vehicles drove out of the underground warehouse one after another. Since the road from the underground warehouse to the outskirts of the Oroqen Tribe Forest had to pass through the small road in front of Tieling County and Fengtian City, in order to avoid the Japanese and reduce unnecessary trouble, Wen Lang sent out the golden eagle to patrol in front. No Japanese were found, and the convoy passed quickly.

Perhaps the Japanese were busy planning a new battle plan, so Wen Lang's convoy did not encounter any Japanese troops along the way. They only encountered a patrol squad of puppet troops outside Fengtian City.

Wen Lang ignored them and drove straight past them, raising dust that fell on the squad of puppet soldiers.

The small group of puppet soldiers did not dare to get angry. They raised their hands and nodded to them.

The convoy successfully arrived in front of the anti-tank cone fortifications, and the small team of members had cleared a passage for a truck to pass through with the anti-tank cones.

The convoy went through a tunnel down the mountain and drove directly to the entrance of the alcohol factory.

When they arrived at the gate of the alcohol factory, the small group of soldiers had already parked the six vehicles in front of the alcohol factory.

Wen Lang ordered the small group of soldiers to load five boxes of penicillin into the five trucks, and then drove the six trucks aside. He then told them to unload the one and a half barrels of gasoline on their own trucks and fill up the six trucks.

He directed the eight trucks that had just arrived to load five boxes of penicillin and five hundred boxes of disinfectant alcohol.

Penicillin and disinfectant alcohol were quickly loaded, and Wen Lang asked them to park the car aside, leaving a small group of soldiers to take turns guarding it, while the others went back. They would set off at six o'clock tomorrow morning.

At six o'clock in the morning, when the troops were doing drills, Wen Lang led the first and second squadrons to set off. When they arrived at the outpost on the outskirts of Fengtian, perhaps because the Japanese troops were frequently mobilized during this period, a second lieutenant of the Japanese army looked at Wen Lang's ID, then looked at the car full of imperial soldiers, and let him go without asking any more questions.

A small incident occurred when we arrived at the checkpoint where we were confronting the Northeast Army in Rehe.

The Japanese lieutenant at the checkpoint checked Wen Lang's ID and refused to let him go, saying he had not received any orders from his superiors. He wanted to call his superiors to verify.

Wen Lang slapped him in the face and cursed:

"You should call Commander Nobuyoshi Musashi to verify. We are directly under the command of the headquarters. Your superiors are definitely not aware of our actions."

Wen Lang wondered how a mere second lieutenant like him could possibly call the commander.

Sure enough, the lieutenant was embarrassed when he heard that he had to call Commander Musashi to verify. After thinking about it, he had to let him go.

After a while, the convoy split into two teams. The first team escorted six vehicles loaded with five boxes of penicillin to Rehe Brigade Commander Wang. The second team escorted eight vehicles loaded with five boxes of penicillin and 500 boxes of disinfectant alcohol to Weichang Army Commander Sun.
