HP: For a better world

Chapter 5 Welcome aboard the Hogwarts Express

When Winster brought Summer back to the Leaky Cauldron, he saw Hermione and Harry, who were sitting at a large table made up of three tables with the Weasley family, enjoying a hearty meal. Winster didn't think of going over to say hello. That would be too embarrassing. What should he say?

-Hello, I am the Slytherin student who accidentally threw the Horcrux to your daughter last year at school.

It sounded like a provocation. Not to mention that Winster was not sure that the original owner was the innocent party. Not only did he come into contact with Voldemort's biggest secret, but he also knew something about the Chamber of Secrets (the original owner strongly requested Hermione to wear glasses in the library. If Winster remembered correctly, Hermione had just guessed the basilisk before she was petrified). It was hard not to suspect that the original owner was involved in Ginny's final acquisition of the diary - of course, it could also be the inertia of the plot.

But he couldn't just rely on the inertia of the plot.

Winster nodded to Hermione as a greeting, then carried Summer upstairs to return to the room.

Hermione chased after him and called out to him, "Wait, Winster!"

She secretly pulled Winster aside and said, "Professor McGonagall said that you re-selected all courses after you were discharged from the hospital. She asked me to inform you to come to the office with me after the school starts."

"To the office?"

"Professor McGonagall said it was a way to resolve course conflicts."

"Okay, I got it." Winston nodded, and Hermione turned her attention to Summer, who was in his arms.

"Your new owl? It's so cute."

"Yes, her name is Summer." Winster introduced Hermione, and then introduced Summer: "This is Hermione, Hermione Granger."

Hermione smiled and ruffled the feathers on Summer's head, "Hello Summer." Summer tilted his head back and rubbed her fingers.

"Then I'll leave first. See you tomorrow."

Hermione came downstairs and sat back down next to Ron.

"See you tomorrow, Hermione!" Winston nodded, politely gestured to Weasley who was glaring at him, and returned to the room.

He would continue to practice his spells—Expedience Patronus and the Invisibility Charm.

Winster thought that the Invisibility Charm might help with the use of the Time-Turner.

Ron watched Winston go away and couldn't help complaining, "He's a Slytherin. He was the one who started the Chamber of Secrets incident!"

Hermione frowned and retorted to Ron: "Winster is just a victim. We have discussed it before. Malfoy was targeting Ginny at the beginning!"

"Then he's a Slytherin too!"

"But he also rushed over to help me fight Malfoy."

"He just hid nearby and gave Malfoy a mouthful of shit—"

"Yeah, it's not as good as you casting a Slug Curse on yourself, but the one who smiled the brightest after that was you, Ron."

The two of them were arguing behind the adults' backs.

Harry awkwardly said "uh" for a long time, stammering and trying to get into their conversation.

"Did I...did I ever say that White and I were getting along okay these past few weeks?"

"No!" said Hermione and Ron in unison.

The two turned around and started questioning Harry how he knew her.

Harry had to explain the story of what happened during the holiday.

The laughter rose all the way to the night sky.

("So I'm the only one who disagrees!" Ron said angrily)

(Hermione pushed him away impatiently and walked back to the room, "Yeah, you, are you a child, Ron?")

The next morning, Winston said goodbye to Hermione and Harry, avoiding the Weasleys and setting off alone.

When they arrived at King's Cross Station, with more than forty minutes before the train was to depart, Winster saw several children and adults with strollers and owls crash into one of the pillars.

That was Platform Nine and Three Quarters - Winster was a little nervous. He pushed Summer and the suitcase and walked to the pillar hesitantly.

Winster looked around and saw that no one was paying attention here. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes and rushed over.

The first thing Winster heard was a shrill whistle.

He opened his eyes. The train groaned and exhaled steam. Voices filled his ears.

As far as the eye can see, there are crowds of people everywhere. Salesmen are pushing carts on the platform, shouting out loud, and the carts are full of packaged wizard snacks. Children whose parents are standing by the train and leaning out of the windows are wiping their tears and giving instructions. The little wizard who is lingering on the platform is floating in the air and laughing at his friends, still holding an unfinished ice cream cone in his hand.

A magnificent painting.

For Winster, every minute and every second here made him feel the wonder and happiness of magic, as if he had fallen into Alice's Wonderland and didn't want to wake up.

Winster was looking forward to Hogwarts even more.

When he woke up last semester, it was already the last day of his detention. He didn't even have time to look around the school before Snape took him directly to Diagon Alley. This made him feel regretful throughout the holiday...

Here I come, Hogwarts!

Winster was filled with joy.

He walked to the compartment at the end of the train - there was no one there, and the view from the back of the compartment was wide, and he could see outside from the compartment. When the train started, the scenery along the way must be beautiful. (There is a small balcony at the end of the old-fashioned train, with only railings on it)

But soon the carriage door was opened, and a man in a tattered wizard robe came in, with a few patches on it. The man looked sick and had no strength at all. There were a few conspicuous white spots in his light brown hair - and he was holding a tattered small box tied with many ropes. Winster saw with his sharp eyes that it was written on it - R. J. Lupin.

It was Professor Lupin, the werewolf, from the third year class.

"Hello, child. Can I sit here?" Lupin asked politely.

Winster, who was sitting by the window, looked at him strangely and said, "Of course, Professor Lupin. There are still many empty seats." Then he took out his notebook from his bag and started flipping through it.

Lupin put the suitcase on the overhead rack and sat down opposite Winster.

Winster felt him glance at his notes secretly - the notes Winster had written on the Patronus during this holiday.

Lupin couldn't help but glance several times at the student in front of him who looked only thirteen or fourteen years old, and couldn't help feeling a little suspicious.

The senior students are so advanced now that they have already started learning the Patronus Charm?

"…Are you…are you a seventh grader?"

(Lupin glances at Winster's suitcase)

"...Mr. White." He said with difficulty.

"No, I'm just in my third year - what do you want to ask, Professor Lupin?"

Lupin was at a loss for words. He tried to find his tone for a while before he could speak again, "You... started learning the Patronus Charm so early?" Lupin wondered, was it because he hadn't been back to school for too long? Or was the current learning content so exaggerated?

Winster paused before answering him, "No, I'm just a little curious about this." Winster thought that he couldn't tell Lupin that they would be attacked by Dementors in a while - it was not until he saw Lupin that Winster realized that he had just arrived at the carriage where Harry and the others were sitting.

How could anyone remember every detail of a novel so clearly? He hadn't planned to face the Dementors before learning the Patronus Charm.

Lupine breathed a sigh of relief.

"Professor," Winster smiled shyly, "Can I ask you a few questions?"

"Uh... of course." Lupin answered Winster a little nervously.

Winster quickly grabbed him and asked him questions, as if he wanted to put all the questions on Lupin. It was not until the train whistle sounded for the last five minutes that Lupin had to say that he was too tired and needed to rest, and rejected Winster's lingering gaze.

Winster concentrated on writing and drawing in the notebook, thinking about the answer Lupin had just given, which solved a lot of his confusion.

Even though he couldn't even release the white mist-like guardian angel now.

"What exactly is a happy memory..." Winster frowned and thought, is it the joy of learning magic for the first time? Or the joy of coming to Hogwarts for the first time?

Winster

A puff of transparent smoke came out from the tip of the staff.

Nothing appears.

The spell failed. Winster sighed and was about to return to his thoughts.

At this time, the carriage door was opened.

Hermione's face appeared first, followed by two boys behind her.

It was Hermione, Harry, and Ron.

When Ron saw clearly inside the carriage, his face darkened.

[Do we have to sit here?] He mouthed to Hermione. Hermione raised her eyebrows: [You don't have to sit.], then deliberately stepped on Ron, walked over to Winston and sat next to him.

"Are you...studying?" Hermione leaned over to take a look at Winster's notes.

Winster pretended not to notice Ron's distorted expression and answered her, "Ah... yes, the Patronus Charm and a few practical little spells... I think we might need them."

Harry and Ron joined them and sat down next to Lupin.

Harry heard a quiet snoring from the man next to him.

Ron looked at Winster, then at Harry, his eyes moving back and forth, with an expression that clearly showed that he wanted to say something but was worried about Winster.

"…if you have something to discuss," Winston and Hermione were discussing spells in a low voice. He felt a pair of eyes scanning back and forth over his body, and his face looked a little bad. "I can use earplugs to listen," he said.

"No, no need, Winster," Harry said quickly. After making sure that the man next to him was really asleep, he told him exactly what the Weasleys had argued about and what Mr. Weasley had warned him just now.

After Harry finished speaking, Ron was stunned, Hermione covered her mouth with both hands, and Winston stood aside with his hands folded in thought.

Finally Hermione put her hands down and said, "Sirius Black escaped to find you? Oh, Harry...you must be very, very careful. Don't go into trouble, Harry..."

"I don't look for trouble," Harry said angrily. "Trouble always comes to me."

"Wouldn't it be foolish of Harry to go find a lunatic who wanted to kill him?" said Ron, trembling.

Harry had not expected them to take the news so seriously. Ron and Hermione seemed more frightened of Black than he was, but Winston sat there calmly.

Harry looked at Winster, as if hoping that Winster could bring some different opinions.

"...This shows that they believe there is a reason why Harry must go to Black." Winster said, "Why was Black locked up? The answer may be in there."

"It was in the papers - he blew up a street and killed thirteen people and then laughed until he got caught," Ron interrupted.

"Then why is he laughing wildly?"

"Because he's a murderer, of course!"

Winster rolled his eyes, "Yeah, murderer... no murderer is stupid enough to just stand there and wait to be caught - even if it's provoking the police, they should still resist arrest... isn't it nice to be at large?"

(Ron corrected Winston's address: "It's Auror--")

"What you said makes sense... Maybe I can look up what happened in the newspaper--" Hermione thought.
