HP: For a better world

Chapter 33 Extra: Turbulent Dreams -

[“White?”]

Winster knew very well that he was dreaming.

When he once again found himself in a huge, silent classroom, there were several rows of long tables in the room, and white children of all sizes were sitting beside them, holding pens, thinking hard, and talking with their mouths opening and closing.

He took a step and merged into the body of a boy with black hair and blue eyes.

The noise suddenly entered my mind and dreams began to flow.

White was sitting at the front with a book in his hand, writing something on a piece of paper. The children glanced at him cautiously from time to time, as if they were watching his every move with fear.

But White's expression was calm. He just quickly filled out the elementary school homework in front of him, looking up from time to time and casting a warning glance at the child who put his head close to the child next to him.

At this moment, a woman wearing an apron and who looked very much like the Fat Lady pushed open the door.

[“White, someone wants to see you. Come out with me for a moment.”]

[“Okay,” White replied quietly, then closed the book, put the paper between the pages and stood up.]

The faces of many people in the scene were strangely blurry, and their clothes had name tags with unclear fonts.

Everything was covered with a thin layer of mist.

This is a large orphanage.

[As White is about to leave, a bunch of chattering can't be suppressed in the classroom.]

[“Be quiet, I’ll be back soon. If you don’t behave well, don’t expect me to bring you candy and cakes.” White said without question, then walked to the fat woman and raised a friendly smile, “Ms. Tina, is there anything I can help you with?”]

[The fat woman's voice suddenly softened, "Ah, yes, little White, good news, a professor from a school is here to recruit you." She was happy for White from the bottom of her heart.]

There is a calendar hanging in the classroom, and it is stuck in May.

[“Really? That’s great. Which school agreed to accept me?” He seemed to have no doubts at all and asked in a happy tone.]

The two of them closed the door and walked up the stairs along the snow-white wall.

"It's a school called Hogwarts. It doesn't sound very famous, but according to the information provided by the professor, it has a history of several hundred years."]

Winster was stunned when he saw White's expression.

[“…Hogwarts?” White asked slowly, unable to hide his suspicion.]

[“Yeah, have you heard of this school?” the fat woman asked casually.]

Ever since the memories of the time travelers began to recover, White had long believed that he had simply traveled to a parallel world.

This is an ordinary world without fantasy.

And he came here just to become famous. Just like those time travelers who live in the city, reborn, and then succeed. That's all.

Then one day there came a school that said it was called Hogwarts.

If magic really existed, why had he never witnessed any trace of it?

Living in Harry Potter, but being a Muggle?

[White shakes his head.]

They walked to the third floor, and the fat woman pushed open the door with the sign of the Dean's Office and said, "...Ma'am, White is here."]

[The fat woman gave a gentle push, and White was pushed involuntarily.]

[A tall, thin, dark-haired man is looking at him.]

[“You—are Winston White?”]

[The man's eyes swept over sharply, and his voice was low, like a cello playing slowly.]

[The dean hurriedly said: "Yes, this child is..."

"--I am White, sir."]

White's voice was slightly higher, which just suppressed the dean's voice, causing it to gradually become smaller and disappear, but White still stated calmly.

Seeing the real boss coming, the man didn't even bother to give the dean a glance.

[“This is a teacher from Hogwarts.” The dean changed the subject, “He is here to pick you up for school. He said your name has been recorded on the notification letter. Why didn’t you tell me earlier that you had found a school…”]

[White frowns slightly.]

The man raised his hand to stop the dean, his expression slightly impatient.

[White saw a small wooden stick suddenly appear from the man's sleeve. He seemed to raise his hand to stop the dean from speaking, but in fact, it just shook slightly.

[The man says, "Let me talk to him."]

[The dean was in a daze for a moment: "...Oh, of course, of course, you need to have a good talk."]

Before she finished her words, she stood up without any objection and left her office to White and the others.

[Is it a bewitching spell?]

White recalls quickly, then turns his gaze away from the closed door.]

[The man hands over a letter.]

The letter was addressed to Winston White, Maria's Home, Catholic Street.

In the middle, there is a red ink pad with the cursive school emblem of four animals: lion, snake, eagle and badger.

White glanced up calmly.

The man had a blank expression on his face, but if you looked closely you could see a hint of boredom in the corners of his mouth.

Seeing that he had no intention of stopping him, White took a paper cutter from the dean's desk and opened the envelope as intact as possible.

After a quick browse.

[Whitey looks up: "What should I call you, sir?"]

["Severus Snape."]

"You should call me professor. I am the teacher of the school you will attend in the future." Snape said briefly, and introduced White to matters related to wizards.

[“Wizard?!” White lowered his eyes, his eyelashes fluttering to hide his thoughtful expression, “But, sir,” he said carefully, “I don’t remember encountering any strange phenomena. Are you mistaken?”]

Maybe the dean is an accomplice of some hateful pedophile.

Perhaps the man in front of him was White's revenge for stealing some of the local gang's income, and was robbing him of his right to a better education by deceiving him into a non-existent school.

[“Impossible.” Snape snorted and said calmly, “The Book of Admission is never wrong.”]

[“Your magical riot may have occurred while you were sleeping, which is the case for many young wizards. Orphaned young wizards like you must go to Hogwarts to study, otherwise their lives will be in danger.”]

He remembered a girl named Granger whom he knew at school. She was indeed a little strange, but she was just too conceited and not good at communication. Her parents moved from somewhere else and she transferred here with them. Therefore, she was not popular in the class.

White seemed to accept the necessity with aplomb.

Snape glanced at him.

[“But Professor,” White drawled, “I don’t have enough money to pay the tuition.”]

[“Hogwarts doesn’t charge any fees,” Snape said patiently, “You only need to prepare money to buy books, paper and pens. As for the cost of books, the school will provide sufficient subsidies for wizard orphans. I will take you to the wizard bank to exchange them later.”]

Snape explained everything very straightforwardly, quickly making it clear that he would come to take him to Diagon Alley to familiarize himself with the route in a few days.

[“Professor.” When Snape was about to leave, White suddenly asked: “Excuse me, are you going to explain to the other children next?”]

As there was almost no additional explanation for this trip, Snape condescended to stop him from leaving.

[“Who do you want to ask?”]

["Hermione Granger, Lily Street, Stonetown."]

[Snape's expression remained unchanged. "She was explained by another professor."]

[White's expression froze slightly.]

...

[“White!” A two or three-year-old girl rushed towards him like a cannonball as he entered the door.]

The child's shrill voice sounded piercingly.

[“Are you guys delivering milk today?”]

[White frowned a little restrainedly after being hit, put his arm around the child, and bit his back teeth: "Get up, Alice. I've told you several times that your story tonight is over."]

The little girl called Alice reluctantly let go of him.

[White took a breath before answering her, "I'm not going today."]

At Maria Orphanage, the children would form groups of five to four, and the most capable and obedient of them would form a group of five to lead the team of children who would go out to earn a meager allowance. This was proposed by White, who formed an initial organization and then showed the hospital the feasibility of doing so. This greatly reduced their workload, allowing the orphanage to reduce a lot of work in looking after the children.

Then White would look for families in need of cheaper milk delivery and newspaper services, and assign the most obedient groups that handled various situations best within their own groups to be in charge of a block. Part of the money they received would be turned in and saved as a reward to buy candy.

So every child is looking forward to meeting the requirements and delivering milk.

This is what White has done for several years. It reduces the workload of many orphanage staff and allows him to have a quieter and better atmosphere, rather than just gaining the love of a certain staff member.

Perhaps, if Severus Snape had not appeared, White would have taken this group of orphans with the initial organizational structure to establish a retail company or be responsible for running errands and then gradually formed a model similar to takeout.

But he knew magic.

The magic is in every inch of his body.
