Gu Jingcheng watched the door close before he pulled the girl out of his arms.

He straightened her up, reached out to push the messy hair away from her face, and gently wiped away her tears.

"What's wrong, Qiqi? Did you have a nightmare?" Gu Jingcheng asked softly.

Jiang Qi nodded without saying anything.

"What was your dream? Why are you crying like this?"

Jiang Qi didn't say anything but just shook his head gently again.

"Prefer not to say?"

Jiang Qi didn't respond and just sat there quietly.

Gu Jingcheng looked at her, smiled, sighed, and continued, "You. Forget it, if you don't want to say it, then don't say it. Are you hungry? I asked someone to make some food and send it over. I'll go get it, okay?"

Jiang Qi nodded but still said nothing.

Then Gu Jingcheng got up and went out to get food.

After Jiang Qi watched Gu Jingcheng go out, she sat on the bed alone to sort out her memories.

She was very confused now. What the hell, what the hell were these things?

Why does she have these memories, these inexplicable memories.

But it seems that these memories should belong to Jiang Qi in this world.

But some things don’t seem to be written in the plot?

"Beep! The world will automatically generate all the things that have happened before the plot begins according to the predetermined plot and the author's worldview and memory, making the predetermined plot logical and reasonable." The mechanical voice sounded in Jiang Qi's mind again.

At this moment, a thousand horses were running through Jiang Qi's heart.

Wow, you can play it like this.

If you haven't written anything, you can add it yourself. If you have written something, Jiang Qi should complete it. Since you can add it yourself, why can't you let the plot go directly to where it is written?

People are still needed to walk on it, and if one is not handled properly, there is a risk of collapse. Isn't this wrong?

But the voice did not answer Jiang Qi.

"Okay." After no answer, Jiang Qi took a deep breath, curled his lips, and said to himself.

After a while, Gu Jingcheng came in with something in his hand. He put up the small table on the bed and placed the thermos bottle on it.

When he opened it, he saw the century egg and lean meat porridge, which is Jiang Qi’s favorite.

He poured the porridge into a bowl, stirred it with a spoon, and then passed it to Jiang Qi.

Jiang Qi took the spoon and scooped the porridge in front of her and ate it slowly.

Gu Jingcheng looked at Jiang Qi eating and said, "It's too late now. Although Bai Qianyu said it's just a fever, you still need to go for a checkup tomorrow. Just rest here after you finish eating. I'll take you back after the checkup tomorrow." He just informed her without any discussion.

After listening to what Gu Jingcheng said, Jiang Qi frowned unconsciously and looked up at him.

Although his voice was gentle, there was no room for negotiation.

Jiang Qi really didn't like this approach.

But then she lowered her head, said okay and continued eating.

Jiang Qi knew that Gu Jingcheng was not her brother, even though they looked the same. And from what she remembered, that was how Gu Jingcheng and Jiang Qi got along.

Gu Jingcheng knew Jiang Qi’s rule not to talk while eating, so he didn’t say anything else.

The ward was so quiet that only the occasional sound of a spoon hitting a bowl could be heard.

After Jiang Qi finished eating, Gu Jingcheng put the things away.

He let Jiang Qi lie down and covered her with a quilt, then took out the thermos and gave it to Xu Hao who was outside the door, and brought in the documents and laptop that Xu Hao had sent.

Xu Hao was never allowed in. This was Jiang Qi's rule. When she was resting, no one was allowed in. Including her parents.

Gu Jingcheng placed the documents and laptop on the coffee table in the reception area, turned off the lights, sat on the sofa, and prepared to work.

He looked up and saw Jiang Qi looking at him, so he asked her, "What's wrong?"

"Still working?"

"Well, there's something that needs to be done quickly."

"Then turn on the light."

"It's okay. Just turn on the flashlight on your phone. You won't be able to rest well with the light on."

Gu Jingcheng continued, "Okay, take a rest. It's almost three o'clock. I'm here with you."

Jiang Qi didn't say anything else, closed her eyes and fell asleep. This time she slept soundly.
