Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 382 The Flashing Point
Hermione frowned. "You mean, Dumbledore is hiding something?"
Harry nodded, "Right. Every time we find some important clues or encounter danger, he always appears at the right time. I don't know what he is planning, but I feel like a chess piece."
Ron's expression turned serious. "Harry, are you saying that Dumbledore is using us?"
Harry took a deep breath, "Maybe. I'm not sure what his motives are, but I think we need to find out."
Hermione looked around to make sure no one else was listening. "If Dumbledore is hiding something, we must find evidence. But we need to be very careful."
In the next few days, Harry, Hermione and Ron began to investigate secretly. They carefully consulted various books, trying to find clues about Dumbledore's behavior. Whenever it was late at night, Harry always felt an indescribable loneliness and pressure. He knew that this was not only a battle about magic, but also a test of trust and betrayal.
One night, Harry wandered outside the headmaster's office, full of contradictions. He knew that it was a risk to enter the headmaster's private area without permission, but in order to find out the truth, he decided to take a risk. He quietly used the invisibility cloak and slipped into the office.
Among the pile of papers on his desk, Harry found some ancient scrolls and letters that mentioned an ancient prophecy that hinted at the awakening of an ultimate power that would be channeled by a "chosen wizard".
Harry's heartbeat quickened as he began to understand why Dumbledore had been watching him. As he continued to look through the papers, he heard Dumbledore's voice from behind him.
"Harry, I knew you would come here." Dumbledore's voice was calm and serious.
Harry turned around and saw Dumbledore standing at the door, his eyes showing mixed emotions. "Professor, you're using me, aren't you?" Harry asked directly, his voice full of confusion and anger.
Dumbledore sighed and walked over to Harry. "Harry, there is something I have to do," he said. "The wizard in the prophecy is indeed you. I must make sure you grow into a wizard capable of fighting the dark forces."
Harry felt a wave of anger and disappointment. "So, it was all about the prophecy? You never really trusted me, you just used me as a tool?"
Dumbledore's eyes softened, "Harry, I never thought of taking advantage of you. I have always regarded you as my student, and I hope you understand that everything I do is to protect you."
Harry was silent for a moment, a mixture of emotions. He was unsure how to respond, and unsure if he could still fully trust Dumbledore.
"Harry, the road ahead will be more difficult," Dumbledore continued, "but you are not alone. You have friends, you have power, and you have the right to choose. I am sure you will make the right decision."
Harry nodded, and although he was still full of doubts, he decided to accept Dumbledore's explanation for the time being. He knew that the current focus was to find and destroy the dark forces, and this required the cooperation of everyone.
As time went on, Harry, Hermione and Ron continued their investigation and training. They discovered more details about the prophecy and new movements of the dark forces. Whenever it was late at night, Harry would think alone in a corner of Hogwarts. He knew that he had a heavy responsibility, but he also knew that with friends around him, everything would become less lonely.
One night, Harry was alone in the castle's astronomy tower, looking at the stars. The moonlight shone on his face, making him feel a little peaceful. He knew that the road ahead was full of unknowns and dangers, but he also knew that he had to face the difficulties, not only for himself, but also for all those who cared about him.
"Harry," Hermione's voice came from behind him, "what are you thinking about?"
Harry turned around, smiled and said, "I was thinking, no matter how difficult the road ahead is, we have to face it together."
Hermione nodded and walked over to him. "That's right, no matter what happens, we won't give up."
Ron also came over and patted Harry on the shoulder. "We will always be by your side, Harry. No matter how powerful the darkness is, we will fight together."
Harry felt a warm power rising from the bottom of his heart. He knew that with the support of these friends, he would be able to overcome all difficulties.
In the following weeks, Harry, Hermione and Ron devoted themselves to the investigation and defense against the dark forces. Their efforts gradually uncovered some hidden secrets, but also made Harry understand Dumbledore's intentions more clearly.
One night, Harry was alone in the depths of the Hogwarts library, flipping through a book about ancient dark magic. His eyes stopped at a description of "Horcruxes", a powerful dark magic item that allows dark wizards to survive after death. Harry couldn't help but think of Voldemort, a name that seemed to be a shadow that would never go away.
"Harry, what are you doing here?" Hermione's voice came from behind, her voice filled with a hint of concern.
Harry closed the book and looked up at her. "I'm researching Horcruxes, Hermione. I think we need more information to truly understand what Voldemort is planning."
Hermione nodded and sat down next to Harry. "I've always wondered why Dumbledore would let us take on so much responsibility. He must have his reasons."
Harry looked at Hermione, feeling a little shaken. He understood that Dumbledore's arrangements were not only based on his trust in the prophecy, but also to prepare him and his friends for future battles.
"I think I understand what Dumbledore meant," Harry said softly. "He knows that we must experience these challenges ourselves in order to truly grow and not be defeated in the final battle."
Hermione held Harry's hand and gave him strength. "Yes, Harry. No matter how difficult it is, we must stay strong."
Just then, Ron hurried over, a look of urgency on his face. "Harry, Hermione, you need to see this."
The three of them hurriedly followed Ron to the headmaster's office, where Dumbledore was standing with a thoughtful expression on his face. They saw a tattered map on the desk with several flashing points marked on it.
"These dots represent the possible locations of Horcruxes," Dumbledore explained. "We need to find and destroy them before we can defeat Voldemort once and for all."
