Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived
Chapter 169 New Divination Professor
Mr. Weasley was soon discharged from the hospital, and everyone was happy, except Sirius. It was not that he was not happy about Mr. Weasley's recovery, but it was getting closer and closer to the end of the Christmas holidays.
"How about I let Sirius talk to Professor Dumbledore and I won't go to school and will stay here to accompany Sirius..." Harry said somewhat gloomily when his friends got together.
Ron dropped the chess piece he had just picked up onto the board and looked at Harry in disbelief.
"Professor Dumbledore won't agree," said Aris, "Sirius won't agree either..."
"My mother wouldn't agree!" Ron agreed.
Hermione seemed to be hesitant to speak, obviously not knowing how to comfort Harry.
Draco remained silent.
The holiday was over very quickly, at least that's how it felt to Aris. They took the Knight Bus back to Hogwarts. During the journey, Draco and Ron found common topics. They fell to the ground at least ten times because of the Knight Bus's sudden brakes and sudden speeding. The two of them kept cursing along the way.
After saying goodbye to the escorts, the students had to face their heavy study tasks in the next school year. Everyone walked into the castle with a slightly heavy step.
The Christmas holiday is over, and it is the first day of formal classes. Members of the defense team have used their break time to express their wishes to Aris and Harry, hoping to start DA meetings as soon as possible. Aris has also integrated the members' free time and said that they can have a meeting tonight.
The day's classes were very busy and the DA party in the evening ended smoothly, but when Harry returned to the dormitory, he had a small accident.
Aris, Harry, and Ron climbed up the spiral staircase, talking and laughing. As soon as they entered the dormitory, Harry suddenly froze in place and began to laugh ecstatically and complacently, but that laughter was not something Harry could make at all.
Fortunately, Neville, Dean, and Seamus were doing their homework in the common room instead of in the dormitory, otherwise this situation would have scared them.
Ron, who was closest to Harry, greeted Harry in the face with a slap without saying a word. Harry's laughter stopped abruptly, his legs went weak, and he was about to fall to the ground. Archer quickly stepped forward and supported Harry.
"That's a ruthless move, buddy!" Aeris said with some blame.
Ron scratched his head awkwardly, and together with Aris, he helped Harry to his bed. Harry sat on the edge of the bed, covering the scar on his forehead with one hand, breathing heavily.
"What's wrong with you, buddy?" Ron asked with concern.
"He...he...he's happy..." Harry said unsteadily, "There's...there's...there's a good thing...a good thing...he...he's been looking forward to it for a long time..."
"Who?" Ron asked, "Mysterious Man?"
"You shouldn't know these things, Harry!" Aris said, "You need to study the art of brain occlumency more carefully, eliminate distracting thoughts, restrain emotions, integrate memories..."
"I'm trying..." Harry's voice was a little impatient, "But I really want to know what it is that can make him so happy..."
"It's obvious, isn't it?" said Aeris. "The Death Eaters in Azkaban must have escaped, and even the Dementors have collaborated with Voldemort..."
Both Harry and Ron looked at Aris in horror.
Aris's guess was confirmed the next day. With the arrival of the Daily Prophet at breakfast, the front-page headline showed photos of more than a dozen wizards with fierce expressions. All of them were former Death Eaters who were sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban. The title was:
Many people escaped from Azkaban, and the Ministry of Magic suspected that the wanted criminal, Sirius Black, provided assistance to the escapees.
Harry slammed his fist on the dining table and said bitterly, "Fudge is such a good-for-nothing. How could he throw the blame on Sirius..."
Because of the old toad, professors no longer talk in the faculty lounge. Some professors gather in groups of two or three outside the classroom, discussing something in a low voice, and stop communicating when they see students approaching.
In order to control public opinion in the school, Umbridge immediately issued a new educational order: no professor was allowed to provide any content unrelated to the subject taught to any student.
This educational order was so ridiculous that during the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, some students openly shouted at Umbridge: "You can't blame us for playing games in class because it has nothing to do with the Defense Against the Dark Arts class you teach."
The result is that talking nonsense feels good for a while, but it ends up in the crematorium.
All the group members who hated Voldemort and the Death Eaters practiced magic harder during the DA gathering, especially Neville.
After learning that Bellatrix Lestrange had escaped from prison, Neville practiced magic desperately in every group gathering. He also often asked to practice against Aeris so that Aeris would not have to show mercy.
Time passed day by day, simple, fulfilling and tense. Umbridge must have known that a group of students were gathering illegally, but she couldn't catch them once.
There were also two professors who were retained on probation, Professor Trelawney of Divination, and Professor Hagrid of Care of Magical Creatures. Umbridge seemed to have made up her mind to expel one of them, or both of them.
Harry's progress in learning Occlumency was also unsatisfactory. Even though Aris tried his best, he still couldn't help Harry make any progress. Sometimes Aris even blamed himself for betraying Professor Dumbledore's trust.
It was not until Draco, out of curiosity, asked Aries to teach him Occlumency, and after three group meetings he mastered it thoroughly, that Aries put aside his self-doubt.
"It seems to be a problem of talent..." Aeris looked at Harry and said resentfully.
"Can you please stop undermining my confidence?" Harry said irritably.
"You can't even learn what Grindelwald taught you in such a simple and easy way. How can you still be confident, Potter?" Draco said tremblingly.
Harry angrily cast a Stunning Spell, but Draco easily defused it with a flick of his wand. Draco was also quite talented in casting spells silently.
That night, Harry fell into a nightmare again. He seemed to be in Voldemort's nightmare. If Aeris and Ron had not discovered it early, Harry would have been suffocated by his bed sheets again.
It was a slightly foggy evening. After finishing a day's classes, Aris and Harry's companions were preparing to go to the restaurant. Neville was still asking Aris about the precautions of the dybbuk spell, but there was a commotion in the hallway.
A woman's voice was shouting hysterically. The companions looked at each other and walked towards the place where the commotion happened, which seemed to be the direction of the castle hall.
Umbridge stood on the steps, looking down at the person who was driven to the center of the hall was the Divination professor: Sybill Trelawney.
"You...you can't do this...sixteen years of hard work...Hogwarts is my home..." Professor Trelawney screamed in collapse, almost insane, "I refuse to accept...reject..."
Umbridge smiled contentedly, and said in a coquettish voice: "You can't even predict the weather the next day. Since you can't show your value, you can only say goodbye to your former home..."
"That's enough!" Professor McGonagall came out and came to Professor Trelawney. While comforting Professor Trelawney, she took out a handkerchief and asked Professor Trelawney to wipe away her tears. "You will not leave Hogwarts, Sybil!"
"Really? Minerva!" said Umbridge fiercely. "Who gave the go-ahead?"
"I!" A gentle and majestic voice sounded, the oak door opened, and Professor Dumbledore walked in from outside the castle. He did not close the castle door, and there was a surge of fog outside the door.
"Headmaster Dumbledore?" said Umbridge. "According to Educational Order No. 23, the High Inquisitor of Hogwarts has the right to ..."
"You do have the right to fire my employees," Professor Dumbledore said expressionlessly, his voice no longer as gentle as usual, "but you do not have the right to expel them from the castle. As far as I know, this right still belongs to the headmaster of Hogwarts, which is... me!"
Professor Trelawney excitedly grabbed Professor Dumbledore's big hand and kept thanking him.
"Minerva, please take Sybil back to her quarters!" said Professor Dumbledore.
"Of course!" said Professor McGonagall. "Come on! Sibyl!" Professor McGonagall helped Professor Trelawney upstairs.
The diminutive Professor Flitwick waved his wand, causing Professor Trelawney's trunk to float, following behind Professor McGonagall and Professor Trelawney.
"So what are you going to do when the Divination professor I found comes over and wants to use her room?" Umbridge asked persistently.
"When the headmaster cannot find a suitable professor, the Ministry of Magic can appoint a professor," said Professor Dumbledore. "I have found a suitable professor, and he is happy not to occupy Sybil's room. Let me introduce... the new Divination professor: Firenze!"
There was the sound of horse hooves, and a figure slowly emerged from the mist: platinum hair, a handsome face, deep blue eyes, a strong, graceful male upper body, sitting on a graceful horse with silver mane, and a silver tail swinging gracefully.
Umbridge screamed and took several steps back....
