Unlike yesterday when he ignored Jian Yu, Fudge saw her at a glance, strode up the stairs, and put his hand on her shoulder:

"Jade!" He tried to put on a kind expression, "I think you already know that I am Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic. I am glad that you can help with this case."

There must be something wrong when something is abnormal. If a man suddenly becomes so enthusiastic towards her after one night, there must be something wrong.

"I wonder what I can do?" she inquired. "I guess I'm just a student."

Fudge smiled briskly, obviously already having a plan in mind:

"Student? No, no, no, you are too self-deprecating."

"Lockhart, you discovered his plot to harm people and bravely fought him with a Stunning Spell. You were clearly acting bravely!"

Jian Yu's intuition told her that Minister Fudge must be hiding some information by suddenly praising her like this.

But Dumbledore gave her a reassuring look and asked Fudge:

"I guess she just needs to answer, 'yes' or 'no'?"

"Of course!" Fudge smiled, as if relieved. "Also, I've invited the Daily Prophet, and then she'll pose in her best pose for a photo with me, and that's it."

Courtroom One.

The walls were made of dark stone, but there were many torches, so the dark room was very bright, perfect for taking pictures. On both sides were rows of gradually rising benches, and on the highest benches were many members of the Wizengamot wearing purple robes, with an exquisite silver "W" embroidered on the left chest.

Seeing Dumbledore and Jian Yu coming over, they cast curious or scrutinizing glances at them. Several wizards waved in welcome, and Dumbledore also nodded in greeting.

Gilderoy Lockhart sat in the chair in the middle of the room with his head down. His once handsome appearance had become dishevelled, his body covered with stains and his hair dull.

Dumbledore glanced at her worriedly, then was relieved to see that she was in a calm state.

He took her to the right bench.

Fudge's short and fat body moved to the middle of the front bench. He raised his face, put on his hat straight, tied his tie, and showed a standard smile on his slightly drooping cheeks.

A blinding light flashed in the room. It was the camera of the Daily Prophet, which happened to capture this scene.

"Very good," Fudge cleared his throat, "Everyone is finally here, let's get started."

"The trial on June 23rd," he said in a booming voice, "is for the defendant: Gilderoy Lockhart, who abused a powerful Memory Charm, causing permanent memory loss to thirteen wizards."

"Interrogators: Cornelius Oswald Fudge, Minister of Magic; Amelia Susan Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."

The light flashed again, and Fudge straightened his back even more. He pulled out a document and took a deep breath:

"The defendant is accused of the following crimes: using a powerful forgetfulness spell to injure three wizards in the United States, causing permanent brain damage; injuring two wizards in Germany, causing permanent amnesia... The two died of amnesia three years later..."

He read the long list of victims for a long time, and the members of the Wizengamot sighed.

Jian Yu remembered that these people had appeared in that notebook before.

"Are you the defendant Gilderoy Lockhart?" Fudge put down the parchment and asked while staring at the people in the audience. The camera light flashed again.

"Yes," replied Lockhart weakly from his chair.

"Do you admit that you used the powerful forgetfulness spell to harm 13 wizards, causing them permanent amnesia, 3 brain damage, and 2 indirect deaths?"

Lockhart fell silent. After nearly a minute, he spoke:

"No, I don't admit it."

There was a buzz of discussion in the courtroom; his refusal to admit it undoubtedly surprised everyone present.

The camera flashed a few more times.

"Lies!" Fudge's face flushed, obviously angry at having his authority challenged. "Nonsense! The search records are all here!"

But Lockhart still denied all accusations. Fudge became more and more angry, and his fat body began to tremble.

Jian Yu was puzzled why he didn't produce the evidence and the notebook.

Bones, the monocle-wearing Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, interrupted Fudge's questioning with a loud and deep voice:

"I think we should have solid evidence in our trial."

The whispers in the court became louder and louder, and many members began to become impatient and showed unhappy expressions.

The camera of the Daily Prophet flashed continuously, and Fudge's face became redder and redder, and his hands fumbled on the table.

"Witnesses!" he said impatiently. "We have witnesses!"

"Jade Jane, a Hogwarts student, was attacked in her second year after discovering the defendant's crime!"

The courtroom fell silent again, and all eyes were focused on Jian Yu.

"Have you been threatened by the defendant in the past year?"

Jian Yu gave an affirmative answer.

Fudge breathed a sigh of relief and gave her a satisfied look.

"Did the defendant use a Memory Charm on you?"

"Yes." Jian Yu answered him clearly, "But he didn't succeed. My stunning spell hit him."

Director Bones leaned forward, his eyes sparkling, and asked her with great interest:

"You learned the Stunning Spell in your second year and defeated adult wizards?"

Before Jian Yu could answer, Lockhart, who was sitting on a chair in the venue, began to scream.

"Alright! Alright! No need to ask!" He admitted his crime, staring at Fudge, then looked at the camera of the Daily Prophet on the field, "I did it! But do you know why our Minister of Magic has been slow to produce evidence?"

"Because of his mistake at work, when he was cleaning up the garbage, he destroyed all the evidence and search records with the Vanishing Spell!"

The members of the Inquisition stood up one after another and looked at Fudge in disbelief.

"Shut up! Nonsense!"

Fudge stood up suddenly, drew his wand and pointed it at him, but was held down by Bones who frowned at the side.

The cameras of the Daily Prophet had never flashed so fast.

"No filming!" Fudge shouted angrily.

Lockhart laughed wildly:

"I just want to pursue fame, what's wrong with me!"

"All those earth-shattering things done by those wizards are left to rot in their stomachs. What a pity!"

"It's their honor to serve my fame!"

He turned around again, stared at Jian Yu and roared:

"You've hurt me, you've hurt me! You've ruined my reputation! You've ruined my life!"

"I will curse you with all my magic! You will be expelled from Hogwarts and will leave Britain and wander around—"

His mouth was blocked by Dumbledore's spell, and her guardian didn't even need to take out his wand, his blue eyes were full of coldness.

The chains on the chair Lockhart was sitting on suddenly sprang out like snakes, binding him tightly in an instant. The chair began to descend, sinking into the ground with the man and the chair.

Jian Yu only felt a huge amount of magic power suddenly surge into her body, which lifted her spirits!

At the same time, a burst of ecstasy broke out in her heart, and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but rise!

This is not a curse, it is clearly a blessing!

Thanks to Lockhart for the priceless gift package for dropping out of school!

He is truly my benefactor!
